The gold-crimson-robed woman said calmly, but her smile behind her veil appeared to exude immense anger.

Jiayi Crystalveil lay there with half-lidded eyes, her skin flushed beneath the faint glow of lantern light. Her chest rose and fell unevenly, lips slightly parted as though struggling against an overwhelming tide.

"Jiayi…" A manly voice echoed with passion.

To him, it was a sight that erased the last remnants of caution. He approached her boldly.

This person was none other than Akarr Ruo.

"Finally," he muttered, rancor and excitement tangling together, "After all that pride you displayed, full of refusal, you still end up like this, end up under my crotch. What a wonderful day."

"Do you remember? Back then, when you came to visit me when we were children, the four of us played together, but you were more open to Helvard Lute. I hated it, so I wanted to punish you, but you became more and more dazzling, becoming capable of annulling the marriage. Jiayi Crystalveil gazed down and looked at the place where the severed head landed. His expression was still twisted in disbelief.

From the shadows, the gold-crimson-robed woman emerged.

"Decisive," Fairy Retribution said calmly as she approached across the corner, "-and flawless."

Suddenly, a golden sword appeared in her hand, and she waved it near a vase, seemingly careless. However, a head rolled.

"…!" Jiayi Crystalveil's heart shook.

"If you managed to find the second intruder, it would be even more amazing." Fairy Retribution uttered with a faint smile. With a swipe, she used the curtain beside the vase to clean her golden sword before it disappeared again.

Jiayi Crystalveil really was shocked beyond compare.

She didn't think there would be a second intruder since she imagined the second intruder was obviously the Divine Emperor of Death, but there is no way Fairy Retribution could kill him in one fell swoop or even find him.

She approached Fairy Retribution and investigated the second intruder.

Only after she checked the face and saw that it wasn't the Divine Emperor of Death did she smile, but she didn't worry in the first place, keeping herself calm. But she wasn't worried she would be found out since she started using her technique to cloud Heart Intent from knowing her emotions.

Jiayi Crystalveil kept her calm as she cupped her hands, "I am honored, but I can also feel your approach towards me isn't one without intent."

Fairy Retribution's gaze flashed, "I like smart people, but I like smart women even more."

She smirked, "My intent in approaching you- tell me what you know about the Divine Emperor of Death."

Jiayi Crystalveil couldn't help but smile, "You want to hunt him?"

It was an amused smile that relayed that there wasn't anything anyone could do unless they were at the Primarch Stage.

"Not really." Fairy Retribution threw her hands, shrugging, "I'm not foolish enough to enter a direct confrontation with a calamity of that level. I need to just provide information to the right sources, and I'll have my name imprinted on a monument beside my grandfather."

Jiayi Crystalveil shook her head wryly before she abruptly froze. She couldn't help but take a step back as she watched Fairy Retribution's gaze turn more and more predatory.

"You are…?"

Fairy Retribution raised her hand, lightly fiddling with her hair at her forehead, "Anastasia Archus, the eighth granddaughter of Claude Archus, the Supreme One."

"…!"

"Congratulations." Fairy Retribution's smile grew more overbearing, "Now we know if the Divine Emperor of Death targeted me, you'll be solely responsible for it because when I descended, I told my mother that the only one I'm going to tell my true identity is to Jiayi Crystalveil, the Demonic Merchant of Death."
