Chapter 4463: Sixth Year
Chapter 4463: Sixth Year
Davis scoffed, appearing speechless.
"What would have happened if I was decisive and had just waved my hand to destroy the Nether Devil from entering- which actually turned out to be you all? Wouldn’t I have accidentally harmed you?"
"You wouldn’t have done that since you’re expecting us~ We know you’re decisive but not hasty."
Natalya giggled. She flew towards him first and wrapped her arms around his neck in an embrace.
Davis also spun her around before he put her down and pinched her cheeks, causing her to pout as she squealed a bit.
The line between hasty and decisive was so small. The prank they played was dangerous, but Natalya was right. He didn’t intend to attack the Nether Devil’s leg in one fell swoop since he also wanted to see just what kind of creature it was.
If that Nether Devil truly entered instead of Natalya and the others, then it could forget about dying since it would live a life of suffering under his torture.
He looked ahead and saw Evelynn, Schleya, Nyoran, and Azbel appear.
His heart became a bit downcast since he didn’t see Nadia, Illumina, and Vereina. It seemed like Nadia was still evolving while Illumina and Vereina decided to stay there and reach the peak of the Empyrean Stage in order to face that old witch, Lilliana Rayton. In fact, Illumina was aiming for the Exalt Beast Stage. If she truly did enter the Exalt Beast Stage, then he would be able to rest assured about Vereina.
After all, Lilliana Rayton was only a Level Six Divine Exalt. Moreover, her power was all drained and sealed, so he guessed she should not be any more powerful than a Level One Divine Exalt, even if she had conserved her energy a bit.
If Vereina could reach the peak of the Empyrean Stage, then she should be more or less able to face Divine Exalt Lilliana Rayton without needing his help. With Illumina guarding Vereina and Nadia, he was able to stay worry-free most of the time.
"Evelynn, I’m glad you’re safe."
Davis nodded at Evelynn, who also appeared forward.
They hugged, sharing a kiss before she looked at the others.
"Little sisters, inform husband of everything that happened. I need to go take care of something first."
Davis let Evelynn go.
Considering she possessed the Hell Poison Gem’s forged treasure, it was safe to deposit it before coming back to banter and share details.
Evelynn asked for Stella, Myria, Tia, and Mystic Diviner Hailac before they left together. They were needed to seal it again, after all.
Davis and the others went back to their mansion, where Natalya, Nyoran, and Schleya shared all the details with him.
"Yes, the Netherworld Chasm was dark and big, and those who haven’t mastered yin energy were severely restrained, including Nether Devils, but it is a heavenly place to cultivate a lot of yin-attributed ingredients. Hence, there were only weaker Nether Devils and one Exalt Stage Nether Devil, which Illumina easily took care of us. I managed to obtain the Nether Yin Lotus Core. Then, we kind of looted the entire farm..."
Natalya said sheepishly at the end as she rubbed her head, causing Davis to chuckle, "That’s good. I won’t claim that the Nether Devils are evil without mingling and battling with them first, but stealing from them is well deserved since it is said that they’re savage and hunt everything in their sight."
Natalya then shared that they obtained more resources at the Empyrean Grade on their way and even three Exalt Grade resources, which they were unable to bring back and just hid somewhere outside the portal.
"You won’t believe it. We even saw humongous Nether Devil bones in the Ghostly Yin Region. It was unlike anything we had ever seen. It was so big- incredibly big- like a mountain that stretched far beyond our horizons." Nyoran waved her hands, circling a picture as she tried to explain vividly.
Davis’s brows raised.
If it was that big, he guessed that skeleton belonged to a Nether Devil that was above the Exalt Stage.
His heart dropped for them, but he praised them for their bravery.
"Illumina is waiting outside the portal. Right now, she’s already a Level Nine Empyrean Beast Stage after eating all the Nether Devil corpses except the Exalt Stage Nether Devil corpses, which she’s reserving for dining after the breakthrough. Right now, Azbel found the Nethermoon Crescent Tree with the help of the other clans in the region, so Illumina would make her evolution and breakthrough shortly. I’ll be returning to guard her."
"Good. You have also entered the Empyrean Stage. Is the Blood Pledge Worldheart Manual flawless?"
Schleya smiled a bit at the praise, "My Blood Pledge Worldheart Manual at the Empyrean Grade is not flawless, but the flaws don’t impede me from reaching Level Nine Empyrean Stage. I will have enough time to rectify ninety-nine percent of the flaws before I reach that level."
"Perfect." Davis nodded.
He felt Schleya’s confidence was always something to be learned from. She did something without looking back, swinging her blade without hesitation. In the same way, she also marched through her self-written cultivation manual without hesitation, as though knowing it wouldn’t let her down.
However, he knew this wouldn’t happen without Myria’s teachings. She was a good teacher who cleared all of their doubts, allowing them to make continuous breakthroughs. Of course, they mostly depended on Ellia, who was freer, but most of the knowledge of creating manuals came from Myria.
Her creation- the Unfettered Reincarnation Earthly Scripture was nothing to be scoffed at. It was the pinnacle of cultivation manuals he had seen, even though it was not complete. In his opinion, only the Grand Chaos Body Art and the World Master’s cultivation manual could possibly compare to it, although he felt they couldn’t be compared because their strengths were different.
Regardless, he continued to discuss, his expression softening.
"Illumina is still waiting on the other side, you say?" He knew she couldn’t cross the portal because she was above the layer limit.
