Divine Doctor from the Start of the Eye Mutation
Chapter 2115 - 2116: Standing Against Others
Are you not curious before you met humans? But I never thought I would be saved by a human. You know, when he descended from the sky, I thought he was a Heavenly God sent to save me."
Alice looked at Anna's expression and said, "Sister Anna, do you know how infatuated you look? If those senior brothers and junior brothers at the Divinity Academy saw you, who knows how they'd look at you."
Anna said, "Let them look however they wish. What I'm saying originally comes from my heart. I truly hope to see him again."
Alice paused and said, "Sister, are you joking? You actually want to see him again? Don't forget he's human, a human who brings disaster to us."
Anna looked at Alice and shook her head, saying, "You're a princess; everyone revolves around you. It seems like anything done for you is expected, but I believe everyone is equal.
I think one day the princess has to grow up, for example, when there's only you left, and someone risks opposing all of humanity to save you. Do you know what that means?"
Alice asked, somewhat puzzled, "What does it mean?"
Anna laughed humorlessly and said, "We're not much different in age, yet why are our thoughts so different? I hope someday you'll realize how precious someone who is willing to sacrifice their life for you is."
Alice said, "Sister Anna, listen to you. I'll certainly find a way to repay Ling Zhenfei's kindness. But you shouldn't blame me; didn't he also save you? What will you do?"
Anna laughed and said, "Repaying kindness is certain, but what's crucial first is to harbor good intentions, which means being grateful. Let's not talk about it anymore; let's find a way to move quickly."
Alice, somewhat discontented, said, "Sister Anna, just tell me."
By this time, Ling Zhenfei had already flown far away. The speed of the Lightning Bird was incredibly fast.
The Lightning Bird flew in the direction of the south, and from afar, sounds of spiritual energy clashes could be heard. Ling Zhenfei knew there must be a battle happening there.
Ling Zhenfei was already clear in his mind: after avenging Zhang Zhenlin by killing Tian Ming, he would find the Blood Son and rescue Ru Meng from his hands.
After accomplishing these tasks, Ling Zhenfei would leave, return to Xianling Mountain, and go home, never to meddle in the struggles among cultivators again.
As the Lightning Bird drew closer, Ling Zhenfei finally discovered that, indeed, two groups were fighting.
Members of a foreign tribe were launching an attack against a group of humans.
Among the foreign races, there was a highly cultivated expert commanding the battle. These foreign races were clearly elites among their kind.
At that moment, they were besieging a group of human cultivators, who were at an absolute numerical disadvantage.
Such is the nature of foreign races; their single combat ability does not match human cultivators, but each group consists of warriors with extraordinary abilities.
This forms a combat group.
It's akin to a group of very skilled martial artists; while each is formidable on their own, when confronted with a trained army, they are absolutely no match for such forces.
The humans were in such a state; in the initial battles in the canyon, most of their numbers had already been killed or wounded, thus making them absolutely weak in terms of manpower.
In single combat, any cultivator would be formidable, but these foreign races each possess unique skills, possibly with special abilities.
Coupled with their sheer numbers and disciplined training, this put humans at a great disadvantage.
Anna once mentioned that if humans hadn't suddenly appeared with a strong group of more than a hundred, during the last battle, humans might have faced complete annihilation.
Apart from those few very powerful human sects, other smaller sects, when confronting pairs of foreign races, could only face slaughter.
By now, those foreign races had surrounded the humans; the ones encircled likely belonged to a human sect.
Their numbers were about a dozen, which isn't a small sect among humans, but they still faced the possibility of annihilation.
The foreign commander wielded a weapon glowing whitely, and the humans fighting him couldn't hold out, directly struck on the head by his staff.
The human cultivator's head burst, dying instantly; just like that, a cultivator of the Dawen Realm was lost.
Nearby, another cultivator screamed sorrowfully, rushed forward, and launched an attack at the foreign commander, sending two beams of spiritual energy toward him.
But the foreign commander seemed undefended, as if he knew the spiritual energy wouldn't harm him, swinging the white staff directly onto the human's head.
This tactic of risking life Ling Zhenfei had seen before; if human spiritual energy wasn't sharp enough, these cultivators wouldn't harm the foreign races and instead be countered by their weapons.
Indeed, this human cultivator's spiritual energy caused no damage to the foreign commander, and he was struck by the white staff once more.
The cultivator was knocked away, uncertain whether dead or alive.
Seeing this, Ling Zhenfei didn't hesitate, and the Lightning Bird flew down. Ling Zhenfei attacked from behind these people, launching an attack on the foreign races behind.
Ling Zhenfei's blade swung down, instantly cutting down several foreign races.
These foreign races only then realized that a person had appeared at their rear, and this person's arrival was fierce, continually cutting down many of them.
These foreign races were tall and strong, with the most distinctive feature being a pair of long tusks on either side of their mouths.
The tusks were very long, not much smaller than an elephant's.
Upon Ling Zhenfei's arrival, he was instantly surrounded by the tusked foreign races.
But Ling Zhenfei was fearless, his Tang sword slashing indiscriminately at the surrounding people. These foreign races' skins were tough; without sufficient spiritual energy, it was difficult to break through their bodies.
The foreign races in Alien Space usually possess tough bodies, explaining why human casualties are higher than foreign races'.
Some foreign races just lose combat ability due to human attacks but, because of their thick skin and flesh, aren't mortally wounded, thus capable of recovery after a period of healing.
Unless vital areas like the head or neck are wounded, or penetrating damage is inflicted, it's difficult to directly kill the foreign races.
These foreign races were part of the last attacking group, usually possessing around three types of abilities.
Upon contact, Ling Zhenfei understood the abilities of these foreign races, one being their incredible physical strength, showing their spiritual energy was mostly cultivated for bodily enhancement.
The other was the ability of their weapons to emit spiritual energy, indicating their cultivation methods were fairly advanced.
