Divine Doctor from the Start of the Eye Mutation
Chapter 2090 - 2091: Still Want to Try?
The other four people panicked immediately, while Ling Zhenfei unleashed several blasts of Northern Spiritual Energy in succession, forcing all five of them back.
Ling Zhenfei said, "Alright, you guys can leave now. You're no match for me."
The five of them were taken aback, but they didn't leave. Instead, they charged toward Ling Zhenfei again.
Ling Zhenfei was stunned and said, "You still want to try?"
One of them replied, "That's right, we do want to try."
Ling Zhenfei, somewhat irritated, said, "Fine, since you asked for it."
Ling Zhenfei had decided to teach these people a lesson, or else they wouldn't realize his strength and would not leave.
A few of them charged at Ling Zhenfei, who swapped the Dragon Tooth Dagger in his hand for a Tang sword.
With the Tang sword in hand, his left hand gripped the scabbard while his right hand was on the hilt, waiting for the five to approach.
As the five got close, Ling Zhenfei suddenly drew the sword; the technique of Iaido emphasizes precision, the precision of drawing the sword.
This draw was neither rushed nor delayed, and as the sword came out, the spiritual energy from it enveloped the five people.
Of course, the five could feel the arrival of this spiritual energy, so they all prepared their defenses.
However, under their defenses, Ling Zhenfei's spiritual energy overturned all five of them to the ground.
The Pursue Heart State can instantly defeat the Realm of Reaching Wisdom, as the Northern Spiritual Energy differs so greatly. During the collision, Ling Zhenfei was in the Dawen Strife Gate's realm, using the Heaven-Splitting Ten Fists to attack Tian Ming, who assumed a defensive stance.
Even so, the vibration of the spiritual energy severely injured Ling Zhenfei, highlighting the gap between Pursue Heart and Dawen.
At low levels, there might be a chance for a challenge beyond one's immediate level, but as the levels get higher, the power becomes formidable, and successful over-level challenges are impossible.
Ling Zhenfei said, "Alright, you guys should leave now. Don't bother me again, or I won't show mercy."
After saying this, Ling Zhenfei walked in the direction of the Elf Princess.
Even though the Elf Princess had regained consciousness after treatment, she was still very weak, so the most important thing now was to heal her.
However, Ling Zhenfei suddenly felt a wave of spiritual energy approaching, realizing that those people hadn't left and were launching another attack on him.
This time, they directly used spiritual energy attacks against Ling Zhenfei.
This type of spiritual energy attack was a large-scale, long-distance assault, with five people attacking simultaneously. Ling Zhenfei had to meet it head-on; if not, their techniques would directly strike the Elf Princess.
Ling Zhenfei frowned; he initially wanted to spare them, but who knew these five people would persistently refuse to relent, as the saying goes, "once for fun, twice for ground, but thrice is a hound."
Apparently, Ling Zhenfei was considered easy to bully by them.
He mobilized the spiritual energy in his hand, and with one wave blocked the spiritual attacks of those five people.
One of them took out a repeating crossbow, which clearly was no ordinary item, and began shooting toward the Elf Princess in the air.
The shooting was swift, as if they had prepared for it, with shots aimed directly at the Elf Princess.
Ling Zhenfei was furious, shouting in his heart, "You're really insolent."
He leaped up and slashed down, not only cutting down the arrows but also splitting the repeating crossbow in half.
Ling Zhenfei then swung a horizontal slash of spiritual energy at the five people.
Out of the five, two dodged, while the other three defended with their own spiritual energy.
But their spiritual energy couldn't withstand Ling Zhenfei's; those three were swept away by his spiritual force.
Ling Zhenfei quickly brought another slash down from above.
Though the group attempted to dodge, under the pressure of this spiritual force, many found themselves immobile.
With this slash, three of them were instantly slashed, spitting blood from their mouths.
The conduct of these people infuriated Ling Zhenfei. Despite sparing them twice, they attacked a third time.
That's what one calls spoiling the undeserving.
Ling Zhenfei, without hesitation, unleashed another wave of spiritual energy towards the group.
If Ling Zhenfei's technique hit the five, they certainly wouldn't fare well.
But one of the youngsters unexpectedly pulled out a gun; it was unfathomable where that gun came from.
The boy fired several shots directly toward the Elf Princess's location.
Ling Zhenfei was instantly enraged, forming a Spiritual Qi Wall by his side to block all the bullets.
Then he slashed once more at the boy, a person too vile to be spared by Ling Zhenfei.
With the slash, the spiritual energy pierced through the boy's body.
Without even making a sound, he was struck dead on the ground.
The pistol fell, and Ling Zhenfei's sword continued swinging at the remaining four people.
At this point, seeing someone killed, the four felt a pang of terror.
They turned around to flee, but having resolved to act, Ling Zhenfei wouldn't let them off so easily.
Another wave of spiritual energy cut through, swiftly catching up to them.
One of the boys, seeing things going badly, dragged his already injured companion beside him to take the blow.
Ling Zhenfei's spiritual energy hit that person.
The person, already injured, was thrown by the collision, tumbling to the ground, unable to rise again.
Ling Zhenfei was taken aback, angrily remarking, "Using your own comrade as a shield, what despicable acts, what difference does your so-called Righteous Sect have from Jianghu scoundrels."
The other three, narrowly escaping, had no regard for sect reputation, and instantly turned to flee. Ling Zhenfei roared, "Trying to escape? It's not that easy."
He swung out the Sky-Splitting Ten Blades at the trio, with no one left to block for them; they could only rely on their strength to defend.
Indeed, the power in the Mid-Late Dashi Stage is formidable enough; escaping should've been easy with good coordination.
But the three, terrorized by their comrade's death, broke any sense of coordination, only thinking of flight.
Yet, the power of Ling Zhenfei's Sky-Splitting Ten Blades was immense; their swords, invoking spiritual energy, defended in vain against the Pursue Heart State's blades.
The three were cut down by Ling Zhenfei's spiritual energy; he shouted, "Vermin, perish now!"
He swung his sword once more at the trio.
If the blade reached them, they would surely die.
But suddenly, from afar flew a longsword.
This sword was powerfully latent with Northern Spiritual Energy; though it seemed but a lone treasure, yet with one strike, it broke Ling Zhenfei's last Sword Qi.
