Divine Doctor from the Start of the Eye Mutation
Chapter 2075 - 2076: Catching Them All in One Net
At this moment, one of the male elves said, "King, shall we advance?"
Ling Zhenfei was taken aback upon hearing this. He never expected this old elf to actually be the king of the elf tribe, or perhaps the clan leader. No wonder he had such a commanding presence.
The Elf King said, "The people on the other two sides probably haven't arrived yet. Our side is the closest to the valley, so we need to move quickly. Once the others have all arrived, we will then act together."
The male elf asked, "Will we be able to catch all those humans in one fell swoop this time?"
The Elf Clan Leader glanced at the bodies on the ground and said, "I hope we can. This time the Supreme God planned so meticulously. If we still can't eliminate the humans completely, our losses will be too great."
Ling Zhenfei was taken aback again upon hearing this. They mentioned the Supreme God, but he didn't know who they were referring to. From their conversation, it was clear that all this was arranged by the so-called Supreme God.
Ever since he arrived and was attacked, Ling Zhenfei had felt this matter was carefully orchestrated with the intent to ensnare the humans entirely. Now it seemed his guess was very accurate.
At this moment, a beautiful female elf nearby said, "Can we finish this quickly? No more wars. Look at all these corpses on the ground. War benefits no one; it only brings slaughter. Can't we just negotiate with the humans?"
The male elf laughed and said, "Princess, you're thinking too naively. I'm telling you, humans are very cunning. They only intend to exterminate us and plunder our resources. It's impossible to negotiate."
The Elf Princess said, "How do you know they wouldn't want to negotiate? They just want that sword, right? Why don't we just give it to them? That way, we wouldn't lose so many lives."
The Elf King said, "If the humans get that sword, they will certainly use its power to massacre us. Don't mention this again. If the Supreme God finds out, our entire clan would suffer."
The Elf Princess remained silent, only looking at the corpses strewn across the ground with a hint of compassion in her eyes.
Just then, a faint moan emerged from where Ling Zhenfei was lying, clearly indicating someone nearby was injured and not yet dead, or perhaps had been unconscious and was just waking up.
The Elf King's face showed a trace of surprise, and he quickly produced an arrow, throwing it towards the source of the sound.
A faint scream could be heard, unmistakably indicating the person had been killed by an arrow.
The Elf King instructed the male and female elves beside him, "Go check both sides and kill any humans still alive."
The Elf Princess was momentarily taken aback upon hearing this but still walked to one side.
Ling Zhenfei was shocked. He had thought he was safe, but now that young man's actions had put him in danger.
At this point, the Elf Princess was already riding on a unicorn in his direction.
In her hands was a crossbow, with its arrows looking quite unusual. If hit, they could likely penetrate a person instantly.
Ling Zhenfei was shocked. Although it wasn't easy to spot Ling Zhenfei from afar, being up close could reveal him.
The effect of the Concealment Pill on Ling Zhenfei's body meant that ordinary people couldn't detect him using Northern Spiritual Energy.
But once they got close, one could never be too sure. Anything could happen.
The unicorn walked right up to Ling Zhenfei. Though he was pretending to be a corpse, he hadn't expected that the unicorn would step on his leg.
Ling Zhenfei's leg had been punctured by the Eight-Part Lock Spirit Needle, preventing him from using Northern Spiritual Energy. Now, being stepped on by this heavy unicorn.
Ling Zhenfei could have endured it, but the pain was too intense. No matter how much he could tolerate, he couldn't help but inhale Northern Spiritual Energy sharply, causing his body to tremble slightly.
This instantly made the Elf Princess atop the unicorn aware of him.
Ling Zhenfei realized he had been discovered. He opened his eyes and saw the Elf Princess looking at him.
Ling Zhenfei and the Elf Princess locked eyes for a few seconds. He knew he was finished, encountering such a situation almost guaranteed death.
By now, the Elf King had also realized something was wrong, shouting to the Elf Princess, "What's wrong? What did you find?"
The Elf Princess raised her crossbow towards Ling Zhenfei and fired directly at his head.
Originally, Ling Zhenfei thought he was done for, but surprisingly, though the Princess aimed at his head, the shot missed, landing next to his ear.
Ling Zhenfei broke out in a cold sweat, but the Elf Princess turned and left, telling the Elf King, "One was still alive, but I killed him."
Ling Zhenfei understood that the Elf Princess had spared him. The elf tribe were born archers; shooting him from such a close distance wouldn't require aiming.
Ling Zhenfei couldn't help but feel a bit of gratitude. Whether foreign races or humans, there were both good and bad people among them.
If there weren't bad humans, he wouldn't have ended up in this situation. And there were good people among the foreign races too, just with different beliefs, their actions varied.
At this moment, a glowing arrow shot through the sky, exploding into a brilliant color.
Clearly, it was a signal arrow. After it was fired, at the order of the Elf King, the Elf Troops began advancing into the gorge.
Ling Zhenfei now understood, allowing the humans to enter the gorge was all part of another plan.
The humans entered the gorge, surrounded by foreign races on three sides, trapping them inside the narrow gorge entirely.
The terrain within the gorge was narrow, possibly allowing the humans to be wiped out completely.
But these weren't matters Ling Zhenfei could concern himself with anymore.
After the elf tribe left, Ling Zhenfei began crawling forward again. He crawled quickly but was in severe pain.
Finally, Ling Zhenfei reached the forest, making his way to a small hillside.
Ling Zhenfei drew out his Dragon Tooth Dagger and began digging. With the help of Northern Spiritual Energy, he soon dug a small hole. The hole wasn't very large, though Ling Zhenfei had intended to make it bigger.
But while digging, he felt a surge of Northern Spiritual Energy locking onto him, likely indicating a Demon Hunter had found him.
Ling Zhenfei stopped digging. The hole was small, just enough to hide himself, so he shrank into it and sealed the entrance.
He used the power of the soul to seal the entrance, preventing Northern Spiritual Energy from escaping. The outer layer was sealed with dirt.
Just as he completed these tasks, his power of the soul detected another Divine Sense sweeping past, followed by a dark figure landing nearby.
"Strange, I clearly sensed it was in this area."
Another voice from the treetop said, "Maybe they've run away."
The person said, "In such a short time, they couldn't have gone far. Keep searching, don't let any humans escape."
After saying this, the two flew off into the distance.
