Chapter 2024 - 2025: Giant Electric Eel

Ling Zhenfei sat on the broad back of the Lightning Bird, trying hard to recover his Northern Spiritual Energy. To witness such a scene at this moment truly felt shocking.

At this time, something long from underwater charged towards the Lightning Bird again.

The shock in Ling Zhenfei's heart was beyond words. Yet, the Lightning Bird still had no intention of leaving, carrying Ling Zhenfei and continuing to hover above the water, even lowering its altitude as if provoking the creatures below the surface.

Ling Zhenfei was in utter awe, unable to believe that the Lightning Bird's strength was so formidable.

At this point, Ling Zhenfei felt that his body had recovered substantially, already infused with some Northern Spiritual Energy.

Even though he was struck by a bolt of Lightning, given some time, recovery was rather easy.

The Lightning Bird circled once over the water. Originally thinking that all the creatures had been terrified, suddenly, the water surface rippled as something surged upwards, aiming directly at the Lightning Bird's tail.

The attack was essentially a bite towards the Lightning Bird's tail.

That thing was none other than the flood dragon that Ling Zhenfei had seen underwater earlier. It seemed like this flood dragon had long been prepared.

It waited only after the Lightning Bird had circled several times before launching its assault.

This could only mean that the flood dragon was incredibly intelligent, assuming the Lightning Bird would lower its guard after several circles.

Then attacking from behind, at this moment, Ling Zhenfei also felt worried for the Lightning Bird.

However, suddenly the Lightning Bird's speed surged.

The flood dragon's descent caused a splash, and the water surface below began a tumult.

The Lightning Bird let out a triumphant squawk to celebrate its victory.

It circled a few more times in the air, but no monster dared challenge the Lightning Bird anymore.

A single bird challenging a group of underwater creatures, truly incredible, even Ling Zhenfei couldn't help but view the Lightning Bird with newfound respect.

Ling Zhenfei patted the Lightning Bird, and the Lightning Bird seemed to understand Ling Zhenfei's intention, then carried him to the other side of the river.
