"Makes sense, but speaking of which, since we’re not carrying out operations for Star Ring City, what are we doing here?"

"I’m not sure. I heard there’s some special plan, something is going to be installed here, the construction team has already gone to work. But it’s top secret, best if we don’t inquire."

"Indeed."

...

While the two guards were chatting quietly, the sound of footsteps approached,

the two guards turned their heads and saw Buseray walking over with a gloomy face.

They immediately reached out to block Buseray.

"Lord Buseray, what brings you here?"

"Open the door; I want to go in and persuade Krisia."

Buseray said irritably.

"Uh, isn’t this against the rules?"

"What’s against the rules? Krisia was imprisoned by the Emperor, but she hasn’t been convicted yet; she’s still a Princess, not a criminal. What’s against the rules?"

Buseray angrily glared at the two and reprimanded them.

"Alright."

The two guards exchanged a glance and hesitantly replied.

After all, Krisia was so favored before; if she suddenly softened and the Emperor absolved her, they would be in trouble for being so harsh on her.

"Open the door!"

Buseray snorted coldly and said.

Creak~

The thick prison door opened, and Buseray walked in.

Krisia heard the noise, glanced briefly at Buseray as he entered, then looked away.

Buseray walked to Krisia’s side, his expression becoming increasingly complex. After a while, he spoke.

"Krisia, did you really collude with Star Ring City?"

"Does it matter whether I did or not? If you’re here to interrogate me, you can leave."

Krisia replied expressionlessly.

Upon hearing Krisia’s answer, Buseray’s face grew increasingly grim. He was now mostly certain that Krisia had indeed colluded with Star Ring City.

Drawing a deep breath, he suppressed his irritation and advised, "Don’t be foolish anymore, colluding with Star Ring City won’t end well. The Emperor won’t spare you. You should soften towards the Emperor, and I promise to plead with the Emperor on your behalf, ensuring your safety."

Krisia turned to Buseray and spoke calmly, "Buseray, you shouldn’t concern yourself with my affairs. It’s not as simple as you think; you can’t protect me."

Hearing that, Buseray’s expression shifted repeatedly. Then, his eyes briefly glanced sideways at the hidden surveillance devices around the room.

He approached Krisia closely and scolded her, "If you don’t honestly confess, you won’t survive."

After scolding her, Buseray signaled with his eyes that a special key was hidden on the inside of his Bio Armor’s abdomen for her to take and use to escape when the time was right.

Krisia’s expression flickered slightly, then she avoided the cameras and replied with barely moving lips,

"It’s useless, I can’t escape; if you truly want to help me, relay a message to Star Ring City. You’re the only one who might escape, I beg you!"

"At this point, you still care about Star Ring City."

Buseray’s forehead vein nearly popped, but he held back his anger and used lip movements to advise her.

At this moment, Krisia pushed Buseray away coldly, saying.

"Get out!"

"You! Fine!"

Furious beyond measure, Buseray flung his arm and turned to leave the cell.

The two guards, seeing Buseray’s anger, didn’t dare to speak to him.

Buseray stormed out, and as he reached the corner, he bumped directly into Prince Kyarat.

His heart jolted; he stopped in his tracks, suppressing his unease to maintain a calm demeanor.

"Buseray, why are you here?"

Prince Kyarat gazed suspiciously at Buseray.

"I came to check on Krisia and persuade her."

Buseray replied with a very annoyed tone.

"I know you fancy her, but understand the situation: Father has ordered her demise, there’s no way she’ll rebound, so don’t waste your efforts on her."

Prince Kyarat said with a smile.

Buseray showed a vexed expression and didn’t answer Kyarat, instead trying to cross past Kyarat.

However, Kyarat’s subordinate stopped him with an outstretched hand.

"His Highness hasn’t yet allowed you to leave."

Buseray’s face twitched harshly; under normal circumstances, he’d have already erupted. But this time, he held back and turned to ask Kyarat.

"Your Highness, may I leave?"

Kyarat patted Buseray’s shoulder and said.

"Buseray, there’s a saying: knowing the times makes you wise. You should understand its meaning; you have great skill, I think highly of you."

"Thank you for your favor, Your Highness."

"Go back and think it over carefully."

"Understood."

Buseray left in silence.

After Buseray departed, Kyarat’s subordinates began flattering him.

"Your Highness, with Krisia taken down, the Immortal Empire’s heir can only be you; no one can challenge you."

"Haha!"

Prince Kyarat’s smile widened as he headed toward the prison cell.

"Sir Kyarat."

The two elite guards of the Immortal Empire hastily greeted him with respect.

"Open it."

Kyarat waved his hand, issuing the command.

"Yes!"

The two elite guards of the Immortal Empire opened the door.

Kyarat entered the cell, looking at Krisia seated on the edge of the bed, and said.

"Sister, you still refuse to confess? What benefit did Star Ring City offer that makes you so tight-lipped?"

"I don’t know how to say it."

Krisia replied coldly.

"Do you think I’ll believe that? You don’t know, yet you’re so desperate to complete the mission."

Kyarat asked with a sardonic smile.

Krisia said nothing more, turning her face aside.

Seeing Krisia silent, Kyarat left the cell, and as he exited, he instructed his subordinates at the door.

"From now on, no one visits her without my orders."

"Yes!"

....

Several hours later.

Buseray piloted a V-class Biological Mecha, Kui Barbarian, leading a squad of Patrol Mechas from the temporary camp.

"Lord Buseray, why are you personally inspecting today?"

"The Emperor issued a strict command; no one is allowed to leave the camp, so I naturally have to inspect personally."

Buseray replied coldly.

"I see, thank you for your hard work, sir."

The subordinates following behind him responded.

"Enough, don’t waste time chatting, get to work. "

Buseray replied with impatience.

The patrol team remained silent, as they had heard about the recent upheaval.
