Chapter 165: The Monstrous Aberration’s Last Stand

Ryujin agonized as his body was rapidly torn to shreds and twisted in every possible direction. His regeneration remained immensely fast, yet it was clearly beginning to slow down under the relentless assault. His face was suddenly grabbed from behind as he tried to fight back, only to be blown to pieces by Label’s concentrated psychic power.

However, several new faces immediately grew across the monster’s body. Alongside them, five fox-like heads with long, snake-like necks emerged, hissing furiously and biting deep into Riven’s arms, tearing them apart.

Riven roared in response and rapidly infused his internal energies into every cell of his body, forcing rapid regeneration. The Asura Blood Sea Scripture served as the foundation for this recovery, while the absorbed cells provided the method to turn the process into a solid, reliable technique.

As his arms regenerated, Noir appeared behind Label and pulled her back just in time. A giant bony spear surged from the monster’s body, followed by dozens more that struck Riven and forced him backward. The creature was clearly trying to defend itself now.

"We’ve got him! He’s dying!"

Riven noticed how the monster’s regeneration continued to worsen. Flesh melted away and could no longer hold itself together properly. The headless torso of Ryujin emerged once more, covered with several copies of his own face across his chest and multiple tentacled arms.

More and more arms surged outward as he screamed. The souls of everyone he had fed to the monster began emerging and roaring in unison, pushing him back into the boiling, slime-like flesh that formed his body.

"OOOOOHHHHHH! SAVE MEEEEEE! AAAAGGGHHH!"

He begged desperately to be saved as the faces of all those he had betrayed appeared around him. Countless hands touched his many faces and began tearing them to shreds without mercy.

At the same time, the spirit core of the beast — already shattered — began to pulse violently. Its tiny fragments spread outward and released large quantities of spiritual energy in every direction.

Its domain grew unstable. The floating islands scattered throughout the space glowed with pink light and began descending toward them like falling stars.

"It cast Star Shower again!"

Riven clicked his tongue in irritation. He kicked the incoming meteors away using his aura, shaping the energy into giant body parts while simultaneously protecting Label and Noir.

In that exact moment a sharp naginata flew toward his stomach and tore straight through his intestines.

"Nnnggh?!"

"HAHAH... HAHAHAHHAHA!"

The monstrous beast laughed wildly as the spear returned carrying his blood. It drank the blood greedily and suddenly grew even stronger, swelling with massive muscles. Yet the form never fully completed itself and continued falling apart constantly.

"Riven!" Label quickly poured several elixirs into his wound and helped the flesh knit back together. Riven clenched his teeth and began combining every power within him. "You want to see a monster?! You’ll see it!!!"

With pure fury he concentrated and compressed his entire monstrous, chimeric arsenal into a single overwhelming move. He swung his sword forward with no formal technique and no named skill — only the raw power he had absorbed from everything he had ever consumed. Pure aura surged endlessly, taking on countless forms at once!

For a single glimpse he channeled everything that had ever granted him power. The Yokai, the monsters, the Undead Giants, and even Genesis-05 itself appeared as an endless army of monstrous souls that attacked and assaulted Ryujin and his aberrant body from every possible side.

"W-WHAT IS THIS?! AAAAAGGGHHHH!"

Completely surrounded and overwhelmed, Ryujin continued trying to tear through the assault, but it was completely futile. Label descended from the skies and unleashed her psychic power at full strength, causing her nose to bleed from the strain.

"YOU WILL PAY...! FOR WHAT YOU DID TO MY FATHER!"

With vengeful fury her psychic energy fused with Chemy. The familiar transformed into a long blade of green fire and black steel that pierced straight through Ryujin’s chest and reached deep into the monster’s torso.

"UUUAAAEEERRRGAAGGHRRTRDDDFFFFFGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!"

It unleashed a monstrous, guttural scream that was almost completely unintelligible. Its flesh endlessly folded and bloomed outward like a grotesque flower. A powerful shockwave pushed both Riven and Label backward once more.

But they refused to give in. Roaring together, their auras converged into a single combined attack that struck through the endlessly blooming flower of flesh.

Something began to emerge from within the mass — a concentration of pure ethereal psychic energy that took the form of a massive tentacled abomination. The form was so alien they could barely comprehend it. It was fused with an agonizing, crying fox and dozens of human souls.

"Souls?!"

"No... this is...! A collective of minds!"

It was more than that.

The entity stared back at them with such overwhelming power that it struck both Label’s and Riven’s minds at the same time, attempting to completely wipe their consciousness in a single attack.

"Naaaaaaaggghhh!"

"Uuuuggghh?!"

Label and Riven screamed in agony. They were forced backward and fell to their knees as their most traumatic memories began replaying over and over again without pause. Tears of blood streamed from their eyes.

The entity made of pure ethereal energy walked slowly toward them. Its shape became more defined. A humanoid upper torso emerged — clearly female in appearance — while everything below transformed into writhing tentacles.

She possessed a beautiful face, long white hair, and glowing eyes made of pure yellow light...

Riven groaned and clenched his teeth as the memories of Elisa being torn apart by the Void Abominations continued to assault him. He relived the moment the Cosmic Monarch summoned the Gates and how he had been powerless to save her before he himself was dragged into an eternal abyss.

"Y-You...!" With one eye half-open he forced himself to gaze at the approaching being. "Impossible...! G-Genesis?!"

He coughed blood everywhere. His eyes continued bleeding as his soul trembled with pure fury. His heart beat faster and faster. The full Titan Power — unifying both the Titan Heart and the Titan Physique — began to awaken while everything else momentarily shut down under the psychic assault.

Her appearance, her posture, and her immense, almighty power over the mind... This was the same monster that, no matter who confronted her, instantly had their minds wiped clean and fell into a permanent vegetative state...
