Chapter 129: The Tower Collapses, Slaying The Three Deadly Yokai Kings!

As Ryujin conjured a deadly catastrophic spell composed of many elements fused together, the blast tore through the tower where they stood. At the same moment Riven sneered and tore into the teeth of the Mizuchi, piercing its eyes with his own sharp fangs.

The serpentine dragon screamed in pure agony as its entire body twisted violently in pain. It thrashed wildly and swung its massive tail, striking both the Inugami and the Gashadokuro with tremendous force and sending them crashing down through dozens of rooms in rapid succession.

While the chaos continued, Riven swung both of his swords downward at full power and combined them into a single giant black scythe — Azrael.

He triggered Abyssal Assault and internalized its core principle into a true Spiritual Art. Shadows and hard armor instantly covered his body as he took on his full chimeric form using the Synergy Ability "Tyrant Chimera Wolf King Transformation"!

Riven kicked against the empty sky above him and descended at lightning speed. The ninjas gasped at the mere sight of the giant chimera man rushing straight toward the specter.

At the same time the three yokai followed him and attacked from behind, tearing through the falling and crumbling tower. Noir appeared behind Riven out of nowhere. Label snapped her fingers as Chemy floated ready at her side.

"R-Riven! It’s ready!"

"O-Okay!!!"

Label cried out after receiving Riven’s signal and threw Chemy downward. The little alchemy cauldron vomited a thick stream of green flames mixed with specially prepared chemicals. Riven had given her a large quantity of potent poison to work with, and she had cooked it into a deadly formula capable of weakening and burning even pure spirits.

"BLEEEEEGGH!"

Little Chemy vomited the mixture all over the three Yokai. Their skin and bodies immediately began burning in agony and melting under the corrosive power. Their once-powerful cursed and spiritual auras weakened in an instant.

The ninjas unleashed their strongest attacks while still in midair. They summoned magic circles, explosive shuriken, deadly fist techniques, and slicing shadow threads that forced all three Yokai into one tight space.

Noir roared and clashed directly against the Inugami, which had managed to free itself just in time. He kicked the dog’s face hard and then locked his jaws tightly around its neck and jugular.

The Inugami screamed and bit him back in desperation, but Noir suddenly grew into a giant werewolf form and channeled his ancient divine power.

As both of them fell through the collapsing structure, the Inugami was unable to resist the immense divine pressure and cried out in agony. Noir roared again, swung a massive muscular claw forward, and tore open the Inugami’s chest, sending it flying toward the other two Yokai.

The Mizuchi hissed furiously and unleashed a deadly breath attack against Riven. Label quickly threw several explosive poisons straight into its open jaws and blew its remaining teeth apart, giving Riven the exact opening he needed.

The young man kicked the air and manipulated his own muscles so that his right arm expanded into a giant fist. He stopped the Mizuchi’s deadly rampage cold and punched its face downward with crushing force, nearly knocking it unconscious.

Then Riven took full advantage of the opening. With Azrael gripped tightly in both hands he spoke a single cold word.

"Goodbye."

All three Yokai were eliminated in three powerful consecutive slashing motions.

One vertical.

One horizontal.

One final strike like a descending guillotine.

In that moment Riven’s Abyssal Assault evolved into a true "Technique."

Or rather, a complete "Weapon Art."

It was a technique created so that it could be used with any weapon, skill, or fighting style.

As he coughed in shock while falling, the entire tower finally collapsed. Everyone reached the ground amid a massive explosion of dust and debris.

The tower fell completely, revealing that it had never been a true castle but one of the three main buildings inside this Spiritual Realm.

Riven caught Label safely in his arms as they fell, making certain she stayed protected.

"Uuugh...! The whole building’s gone!" she said in disbelief. "Oh no..."

"It’s fine," Riven replied calmly. He glared first at the corpses of the three Yokai and then at the spectral avatar of the man who had summoned them with the relic. "The princess is in another castle..." He looked out into the distance and noticed the vast wilderness that stretched in every direction.

He gently placed Label on the ground and walked toward the spectral avatar of Ryujin. The avatar had already taken serious damage to its second core from the relentless onslaught of attacks delivered by the ninjas. At the same time Kagehisa had caught the specter off guard and pierced its third core with both Masa and Mune.

"Let go of me!"

Ryujin fought fiercely against Kagehisa. The two clashed like madmen, yet Kagehisa held the clear advantage. He kicked the spectral avatar hard in the head and sent it crashing downward.

CRAAASH!

"Gaaahaaa?!"

"You’re not running anywhere," Kagehisa said as he fell toward him with his spear raised. "The real you is dying soon, bastard!"

"Kagehisa!" Riven shouted and ran forward, shoving the young ninja aside just in time to avoid a sudden hidden attack.
