Chapter 2687 - 2691: What Sin Has Been Committed

Chapter 2687: Chapter 2691: What Sin Has Been Committed

How can something like this be let out?

How could he be so careless!

Yet, he never even dreamed that an eight-year-old child would place a recorder in his bedroom.

He didn’t expect it.

He really didn’t expect it at all.

What to do now?

If this matter gets exposed, his latter half of life is finished!

He actually wants to dig out the heart of his adopted son of eight years to save his biological son, whom he just found and brought home less than a year ago. If people found out, he would definitely be condemned by everyone and scolded beyond recognition.

He will have no face left to meet anyone!

The more he thought about it, the more frightened he became, trembling all over and looking ashen: "Dad, dad... this matter absolutely cannot be known... absolutely cannot be known by anyone..."

"Now you’re scared? When you and your wife were discussing digging out Qiqi’s heart, why weren’t you scared?" Senior Master Huo yelled furiously, "That is the son you’ve raised for eight years! Even if you fed a dog for eight years, I’d be reluctant to let it be killed. How could you bear to personally kill such a lovely and smart child like Qiqi after raising him for eight years? Huo Qihang, are you even human? How did I raise such a beast-like creature!"

"I’m sorry... Dad... I’m sorry... I just... I just..."

Huo Qihang desperately tried to find an excuse that would make Senior Master Huo forgive him, but Senior Master Huo interrupted him: "What are you just? What kind of excuse are you thinking of inventing? Don’t bother, you said it very clearly in the recording, you just feared Huo Zhonglin would die, and since Huo Zhongqi is not your biological son, you’d lose your right to inherit Huo Group if you lost your biological son!"

"Huo Qihang, is the inheritance of the Huo Family really that important? More important than the life of the son you personally raised? Are you even human or just a beast? How can you have not a shred of humanity?"

Huo Qihang was scolded by Senior Master Huo to the point his vision went black and he nearly fainted.

It’s over.

Everything is over.

Now, in his father’s eyes, he is a ruthless and heartless thing worse than a beast.

His father will definitely not hand over the inheritance of the Huo Group to him now.

His latter half of life... is over.

Senior Master Huo was also furious to the point of dizziness, the world spinning around him, he fell heavily onto the sofa, panting rapidly.

He genuinely felt pain.

From the first sight of Huo Zhongqi, he liked Huo Zhongqi.

Huo Zhongqi was from a young age more handsome than his other grandsons, easy to be liked.

As he grew a bit older, he also proved to be more intelligent and sensible than other children.

When Huo Zhongqi was five, he brought him to live by his side.

He and Huo Zhongqi shared their days together, caring for him attentively day in and day out.

In the Huo Family, apart from his eldest son, he invested the most effort in Huo Zhongqi and doted on him the most.

Even though Huo Zhongqi wasn’t his biological grandson, even though he harbored a lot of calculative motives regarding Huo Zhongqi’s future, his affection for Huo Zhongqi was absolutely genuine, with not a hint of falseness.

As long as he thought about Huo Zhongqi not being his biological grandson

his insides twisted painfully.

The root cause was his overwhelming fondness for Huo Zhongqi, and his deep concern.

The excessive affection and concern made it impossible for him to accept the fact that Huo Zhongqi was not his biological grandson.

He clearly wanted to hand over the Huo Family to Huo Zhongqi.

But Huo Zhongqi wasn’t his biological grandson.

No matter how much he favored Huo Zhongqi, he couldn’t possibly hand over Huo Group to a child not of Huo Family blood.

He couldn’t find a way to hand over Huo Group to his most beloved child!
