After hearing Fu Luo's analysis, the players immediately tensed up.

This meant that the "alliances" that had just been divided according to the organization's guidelines had, in this moment, become completely unreliable.

Because there was a "monster" aboard the airship now, and this was an external contradiction that superseded the internal conflicts between players.

And that unknown monster had disguised itself as one of the players.

"What exactly is that thing trying to accomplish?"

Kitty's voice rang out, somewhat puzzled.

"It's not just Players who covet the legacy of 'Freud'," the man wearing the gas mask said coldly. "The Island Master of the Sixth Island, following the instructions of the first-generation 'Freud', sent out one-way tickets to screen for 'Heirs' after his soul fluctuations had completely dissipated."

"But... among the natives of the Misty Islands, there are no shortage of beings who want to get their hands on this legacy."

Chlorpromazine's voice rang out: "Exactly. The first-generation 'Freud' put certain safeguards in place to ensure that only a Player could ultimately obtain this 'legacy'."

"But those safeguards have been in place for far too long, and they can be 'fooled' and 'deceived'... So, if the natives of this realm want to obtain the legacy inside, they need, and must have, a 'Player' identity to fool the review mechanism."

"Replacing one of us is the best way to do that."

Nineteen narrowed his eyes: "Seems like we'd better join forces first and eliminate whoever isn't a player, wouldn't you say?"

"After all... no one can guarantee that if he replaced one person, he'd stop at just one."

"If he has the ability to replace others and isn't limited to one, then to ensure he gets that legacy, he'd definitely do one thing, replace all of us, and do it before we can call in 'reinforcements'."

As Nineteen spoke, the players all wore grim expressions.

Lin Yu had to admit that when it came to thinking about ways to harm others for personal gain, the Marauders' brains always worked exceptionally fast.

This approach was indeed the most likely choice for that monster.

First, it definitely wouldn't want their group to send out coordinates and attract powerful senior players to come.

Second...

The way to guarantee a one-hundred-percent win in a lottery draw was to take all the numbers for yourself!

Even if it couldn't do that, it would take as many numbers as possible.

The other party's choice to "invade" this airship was very likely with the intention of replacing as many of them as possible before the airship arrived at the Sixth Island and landed.

This meant...

"We'd better set aside our differences for now and flush out that monster first," Fu Luo said coldly. "Otherwise... we might all end up dead here."

"Indeed, the first-generation's legacy isn't so easy to claim," Chlorpromazine remarked with a sigh. "This might also be part of the 'trial'!"

Hearing the Psychological Society member's statement, King Vulture also cursed under his breath.

"This is definitely the style of you lunatics..."

But even so, King Vulture only muttered that one curse and didn't take any more aggressive action.

Because now...

While the two originally divided camps had set aside their differences, it also meant that the alliance relationships within the same camp no longer existed.

Every player had now become an independent individual again, because anyone could be the monster in disguise, so no one was trustworthy.

"How do we find the hidden monster, Lord Furbollo?"

Kitty asked urgently.

Fu Luo spoke calmly: "Since that monster chose to use the fog to obscure the details on our bodies, that means its imitation has very obvious flaws and weaknesses in appearance."

"If that's the case, then it may not have inherited all of our memories either..."

As Fu Luo spoke, Nineteen nodded.

"That's right... So the more silent, mysterious, and unable to communicate with others someone is, the more likely they've already been replaced by the monster!"

The man wearing the gas mask laughed.

"Hey, you little bastard from the Marauders, why don't you just say directly that you suspect me?"

"It doesn't look like you're trying to find the monster, it looks more like you want to use the 'monster' as an excuse to call a truce with the Order people, and then eliminate dissidents first."

He spoke up loudly: "Furbollo, don't you think this Marauder guy is pretty suspicious?"

"This guy's saying we should cooperate now and talking about how the monster might replace as many people as possible to create a sense of crisis and tension, but maybe he's just trying to quickly weed out a batch of players."

"After all, these Marauder types will do absolutely anything to achieve their own goals."

Hearing the other party's rebuttal, Nineteen said coldly: "The way you're frantically defending yourself and desperately trying to sow discord makes me think YOU'RE the one disguised as the monster."

"Would a normal player be this eager to prove their innocence after just one remark? And why are you trying to steer the topic away from the monster, spinning it as me deliberately 'creating a crisis'?"

"Any player with half a brain knows that finding the monster is the top priority. No matter which organization we 'players' come from, our goals are relatively clear. That monster is the biggest uncontrollable factor."

The gas mask man refused to let it go: "Your goals might be clear, but your methods have always been dirty beyond imagination."

"I don't want to argue with you... I didn't particularly suspect you at first, but if you keep making unreasonable trouble here," Nineteen's voice grew even colder, "then I'll have no choice but to take action against you. And you'll soon learn that if I wanted to deal with you, I wouldn't need to resort to sowing discord."

The exchange between the two sides had escalated from initial debate to becoming increasingly hostile, thick with gunpowder.

Even if the two suddenly started brawling right then and there, no one would find it surprising.

Lin Yu, who had been observing all along, narrowed his eyes.

The emotions of these two were abnormal...

He could notice changes in human emotions better than most people, and could better predict what kind of emotions people would produce in what kind of scenarios.

And right now, although both Nineteen and the gas mask man had reasons to be angry, they absolutely shouldn't be this combative.

Granted, Nineteen of the Marauders looked like the type to crave attention, and the gas mask man was indeed a hot-tempered fellow.

But Lin Yu could clearly sense...

Both of them were being "influenced" by some external force... or rather, "incited".

"Looks like Fu Luo's speculation was right on the money. Now I can be certain that among the players on this airship, a 'monster' has definitely slipped in."

Lin Yu thought to himself.

Before these two had been "incited", he had basically agreed with Fu Luo's assessment, but thought there was only an eighty percent chance someone had infiltrated.

But now, Lin Yu was a hundred percent certain.

Seeing that no one else present seemed to notice anything unusual, Lin Yu cleared his throat and spoke up.

"Ahem, you two, let's all calm down."

"Don't you feel like your emotions are... somewhat abnormal?"
