Death… And Me

Chapter 4585: Relate

Their group departed from Volkel Country that same day, with the twins’ group going ahead and leaving a thirty-minute gap before Aurundi followed. On the surface, that might not have seemed like much, but one had to keep in mind that Aurundi was there specifically to intervene if something went wrong. The sooner he could react to a dangerous situation, the better.

As for the Network Signal used by both airplanes, that could reach much farther than the distance covered during those thirty minutes. There was no real risk of Aurundi falling behind and eventually losing sight of the twins’ group. Even if they accelerated considerably, their airplanes would remain within the range of his radar, allowing him to keep track of them without needing to constantly push himself to catch up.

Well… Rean’s airplane was damn fast, but Rean would hold the airplane back to make sure Aurundi didn’t really fall behind either.

On the way out, Roan noticed that Kachia was waiting for what she had been promised. He glanced at Kentucky before giving him a small nod through their Soul Connection. ‘You tell her.’

Kentucky hesitated for a moment before looking in Lukay’s direction. ‘Do I keep the system out of the conversation? Lukay already knows about our abilities, but he still doesn’t know they’re related to a system we have access to. As far as he knows, we’re simply using the Echo to make all of this possible.’

That was indeed a rather important question. Roan went silent for a moment, considering the possible consequences before finally answering. ‘Just tell her. If you have to involve the system later, there might be some friction because you didn’t tell her from the beginning. As we already said, we can clean up the mess if necessary.’

‘Very well.’ Kentucky accepted the decision and moved over to Kachia’s side. He sat down beside her before beginning to explain everything through Godly Sense. That was obviously the fastest way to do it, and more importantly, it ensured that Lukay wouldn’t overhear their conversation.

He also made one condition clear from the very beginning: Kachia couldn’t tell anyone else about the information she was about to receive. If word about the system ever spread beyond their trusted circle, the twins’ group would have no choice but to leave the Besgol Region for good.

It took Kachia quite some time to organize everything she had been told. The sheer amount of information was overwhelming, and the more she connected the different pieces together, the more shocked she became. What had initially sounded like a few secrets quickly turned into an explanation of an existence and history far beyond anything she had imagined.

Finally, once she had managed to process most of it, she turned her attention back to Kentucky. ‘It… it can’t be true, right? I mean… it sounds ridiculous. This Orb System of yours… No, all the things that happened before you even got here. Those Arbiters… Then there are those pink faeries or whatever they are inside your bodies. Aren’t you afraid they’ll awaken after you’ve told me all of this?’

Kentucky shook his head. ‘To be more specific, we can’t teach anyone how to control Godly Pressure. It’s not that others can’t know that we are capable of doing it. Obviously, if we told Tobao and the others, they would insist that we explain how. But can you feel anything inside my body? Nothing, right? You can’t even tell those faeries exist. So would Tobao and the others really believe us?’

He paused briefly before continuing. ‘They would probably assume we’re simply trying to hide the truth. But if they forced the issue and somehow managed to obtain Rean’s designs for the Godly Pressure Controlling Arrays, then we’re pretty much done for.’

‘Don’t forget that those same pink things were responsible for wiping out the existence of Godly Pressure Controlling Arrays from Besgol a few decades ago. You and everyone else don’t even remember that those arrays ever existed anymore, because their existence was also erased from your memories.’

Kachia indeed couldn’t remember anything about Godly Pressure Controlling Arrays. However, she did remember the strange phenomenon that had occurred decades ago, when everyone suddenly fell asleep and remained unconscious for days before waking up again. She had been among those affected.

It hadn’t happened only in Besgol, either. Every Region that Besgol could contact had seemingly experienced the same phenomenon, and there were probably even more Regions beyond their knowledge that had suffered the same fate. At the time, everyone had simply assumed some kind of natural phenomenon was responsible.

‘To think there was no such thing as a natural phenomenon…’ Kachia muttered. ‘It was always the Ruckus Region, and that Duze you mentioned came from there… Just how powerful must this Ruckus Region be to have the capability to wipe out everyone’s memories about Rean’s Arrays and even the clues of their existence?’

Kentucky faintly smiled. ‘They are strong, no doubt about that. However, that’s only when you consider the Grasslands. Duze mentioned it himself. On the scale of the Celestial Plane, even they are nothing but ants. He even said that calling themselves ants was already vastly overestimating the strength of his Ruckus Region.’

He paused before adding another piece of information that made the already enormous scale of the Celestial Plane even harder to comprehend.

‘After all, the Ruckus Region is only one of more than a million controlling powers overseeing the Grasslands. And the Grasslands as a whole isn’t even a drop of water in the ocean compared to the entirety of the Celestial Plane.’

Kachia took a deep breath. ‘I heard about it before… I knew the Celestial Plane was ridiculously enormous. We heard about it from the ascenders, after all. Still, hearing this story makes it even more impressive. Millions of powers like Ruckus, and all of them combined with the Grasslands aren’t even a drop of water in the ocean. I can’t help but want to see the area they call the Center of the Celestial Plane.’

Kentucky was interested in that possibility as well. ‘Yeah, we’ll get there one day. However, don’t forget what Duze said. They call it the Center of the Celestial Plane simply because that’s where the biggest powers they know about can be found. For all intents and purposes, this so-called “center” might as well be a puny place with weak cultivators in the middle of nowhere, far away from anything that could genuinely be called a true power.’

‘Alright, enough with that.’ Kachia stopped there. Her head was already beginning to spin. The scale was simply too enormous for her to properly picture. ‘For now… can I check your Pocket Dimen- No, you actually said it’s an entire Great Void?’

‘Hahaha!’ Kentucky laughed. ‘It sure is!’

Afterward, Kentucky got up and looked toward Roan. “I’m bringing her inside for a moment. Is that okay?”

Roan gave a slight nod. “So be it.”

Lukay was puzzled by the exchange. Then, suddenly—

*Zush! Zush!*

Kentucky and Kachia disappeared without warning.

“What?!” Lukay looked around in confusion. “Where did they go?!”

Rean immediately laughed at his reaction. They hadn’t told Lukay about their newest ability yet, and his confusion was exactly what Rean had expected. “Hahaha! After what happened in Woster, we got access back to our Pocket Dimensional Realm. Believe me, being able to use the Echo is really convenient.”

Lukay felt as though his mind was spinning. “Pocket Dimension… Legends say that you only get access to one at the World God Realm… That’s the realm above the Region God Realm, while Besgol has only ever had Law Gods, the realm below. Is there anything you can’t do?”

Rean obviously had no intention of telling him that what they called their Pocket Dimensional Realm was actually an entire Great Void. He could only imagine Lukay’s reaction if he revealed the truth now.

Besides, there was no reason to overwhelm him with yet another absurd piece of information. “Well, there is also the bad part of it.”

“Bad part?” Lukay looked skeptical. “What bad part?”

“For example, at the Zone God Realm, one unlocks the ability to fly, right? Well, the four of us can already fly, and we even consume less energy than other cultivators while doing so. That said, once we break through and reach the Zone God Realm, we won’t really unlock any new abilities. We’ll simply gain a boost in pure strength.”

Lukay stared at him for a moment before looking genuinely exasperated. “That’s it?! You dare call that a ‘bad part’ at all?!”

“I mean…” Rean scratched the back of his head. “There isn’t anything new to look forward to, you know…”

Lukay finally gave up. “You know what? Just stay quiet. I don’t want to hear you anymore.”

Roan nodded slightly.

He could totally relate to Lukay’s feelings… about Rean speaking, that is.
