Death... and me

Chapter 3396: Can't Reach Them!

Chapter 3396: Can't Reach Them!

Going slightly back in the past, Zangeshu was working with the Waterdog Seal's energy, making a teleport formation that used that same energy to work. He knew there was Divine Energy involved, so he worked on Runes capable of resisting extremely cold temperatures.

That was something he probably wouldn't have been able to do in most places. That's because he would most definitely lack the necessary resources. Now, thanks to Rean and Kentucky, they always kept a huge pile of various different materials in the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. Naturally, Rean used them for forging and formations, while Kentucky simply ate them.

In any case, Zangeshu had what he needed to make the teleport runes work with the Waterdog Seal's energy. He took that same energy, which was the only thing that was capable of entering the Dimensional Realm, and used it as a bridge to connect to the outside.

To make sure everything was right, Zangeshu even sent a small bird out, just a normal one that lived in their Dimensional Realm, not a Demon Beast. You never know if you would need other living beings to make tests, so the Dimensional Realm had a few of those common animals living in a separate part. Even Roan used them, like special worms that crawled underground in his Herb Garden.

No one noticed that bird appearing outside of the Dimensional Realm, though. Well, why would they? They were still flying through the hurricane at that time, and paying attention to the deep blue freezing lights that took all their attention while Kentucky moved in the eye's direction. The only sad thing was that the little bird instantly froze in that environment, so it died for the sake of that test.

Nonetheless, it was enough for Zangeshu to contact Rean and Kentucky, telling them that he managed to get the teleport working. But, when asked Roan if he wanted to go out, Roan shook his head. That hurricane was weird, and the notion was that no one could enter or leave their Pocket Dimensional Realms. So... why not use it in his favor? Roan wasn't sure if it would be necessary, but he stayed inside the Dimensional Realm nonetheless.

Turns out that after they reached the center of the eye, they were indeed attacked, and attacked by those same Scaled Seals. In the last moment, just as the Seal was about to shoot its ray of freezing light, Roan made his appearance, ultimately ending in the Scaled Seal's demise. Now, they managed to escape that attack and even kill a Scaled Seal, but there were still the others.

Farlo, Gram, and Duleti were shocked to see Roan there. He appeared too sudden. However, they all have their own Natural Spatial Perceptions. That said, they knew he came out of a Pocket Dimensional Realm. Judging by the conversation he had with Kentucky, it was obvious that Roan came from Kentucky or Rean's Pocket Dimensional Realm as well. "Can you use your Pocket Dimensional Realms?!"

Roan glanced at them. "Not time for this conversation. Casper, get out of here." Then, he looked behind where the other Scaled Seals had been.

"On it!" Kentucky didn't need to hear it twice before giving his all to fly away. The hurricane tried to keep them in the middle by following their movements, but Kentucky moved faster than it did. It's just that if he left the eye, he would once again end up inside the blue clouds. Well, it wasn't time to worry about that at the moment. A single Scaled Seal was already that strong, let alone several of them.

For a moment, all the Scaled Seals looked lost, not believing one of theirs died like that. However, it didn't last long. The pursuit soon started... but not in the way one would expect. The Seals looked at Kentucky flying away with the others on his back. The Seals then raised their paws. Their Ice Claws made a slashing movement, and a breach in space was opened, which they all used to enter.

Rean's fear was confirmed at that moment. "Shit, they can really travel through space!"

Kentucky narrowed his eyes. The Scaled Seals did indeed open a kind of a breach in space to disappear. However, Kentucky was the best of his group when it came to Spatial Powers, so he could tell it. "I don't know what they are doing, but they are using the Space around in a different manner. They definitely didn't use Spatial Gates/Tunnels."

"No Spatial Gates?" Everyone asked at the same time. But then again, they had to admit Kentucky's words made sense. They could feel those Scaled Seals' Cultivations earlier. They were all in the Space Bending Realm, varying between Middle and Peak Stages. Spatial Gate was an ability one acquired at the Space-Time Realm since control over time was also necessary for it.

Even Rean and Roan, who managed to use Time Power before the Space-Time Realm, only managed to do that when they were already in the Elemental Space Realm Late Stage, an entire Realm above the Seals. Could those Scaled Seals really have breached that ginormous gap and control time? The answer was simple: No! If they truly could control time power, they would have used it against the twins' group, but they didn't do that. Naturally, they must be using something different, and that's why Kentucky alerted everyone.

All the Seals disappeared from their sight, and Kentucky stopped flying in the end. There was no point in plunging into the hurricane if they couldn't escape the Scaled Seals to start with. It would be better if he stayed still, waiting for the Seals' attacks.

*Zrash!*

Space seemed to break apart as another one of those Ice Claws appeared. From behind the fabric of space, one of the Scaled Seals already had its mouth open, full of concentrated Deep Blue Freezing Light.

*Shot!*

As fast as the gap in space appeared, the Scaled Seal shot its ray of freezing light. Kentucky was already expecting them, though. His wings flapped, and space bent at will before he disappeared from his location with everyone.

*Zrash!*

Yet, another gap appeared, and another one of those Scaled Seals attacked. They were closer to the Seal this time and could see the fury in it's eyes. Seems like they took the death of their friend very seriously.

Of course, Kentucky didn't stay still, dodging again. Too bad they couldn't attack back. Right after the Scaled Seal shot its ray of freezing light, the crack in space closed, and the seal disappeared. From the looks of it, none of the seals intended to come out anymore while they attacked from behind the fabric of space.
