DC Comics: The Bookstore Witch

Chapter 248: Start of another date

  • Next Chapter

[3rd POV]

After a few more minutes of waiting, Wanda soon noticed the door to her store beginning to creep open. As Death walked in with a smile on her face, and casual clothing covering her gorgeous figure. The woman seemed pretty excited, which was getting increasingly common for Death. At least, when Wanda was involved that is.

When Wanda was not involved, she was more like her old self. Aka a bit more cold, quiet, and just reserved in general. A total loner, as one would day.

"You look excited" Wanda said with a small amused smirk on her face, as Death smirked back in response.

"Well of course! Why wouldn’t I be excited for a date with the most beautiful woman in the multiverse?" Death replied, as Wanda chuckled at her words, a small dusting of pink on her cheeks.

Compliments like that always got her blushing ever so slightly, something that Raven had found out a while ago, and loved to take full advantage of whenever she had the chance. Mostly because Raven thought that a blushing Wanda was absolutely adorable.

Death had obviously found that out as well. Wanda just wondered if it was because Raven had told her, or if she had noticed it on her own in their previous dates.

"Your flattery has gotten better" Wanda said after her blush began to recede, getting a grin from Death.

"Really? Or are you just becoming more receptive to my charms~" Death teased, getting an eye roll from Wanda, who was not blushing this time.

"Perhaps" Wanda said, deciding to keep it simple just to see Death grumble when she realized that her teasing was failing. Something that happened rather often. Wanda was strangely both good and bad at ignoring her teasing.

It was only certain types of teasing that got her to blush.

And even that was not easily exploitable.

Death just sighed at her words, and decided to move on from their little face off. She had not seen Wanda in a while now, and was happy to see that she was not annoyed with her over the fact that this took forever. She had to prepare a few things, and more than anything, she had some particularly annoying things taking up her time.

Had she not been busy with what is basically her job, then she would have been able to do this weeks prior. And the only reason she did not have her various aspects/fragments taking care of the job in the first place, was because her oh so loving brother told her no.

And even she could not easily deny Destiny. The man was irritating as shit, even if she was also his end.

She was the end of all her siblings. Which was not something she liked to think about until that time came in many many many many quintillions of years. As the multiverse takes far longer to die than people truly know.

Annyways.

"So, are you ready for this date?" Death asked.

"Mhmmm, hard not to be. I am quite curious about what it is going to be though" Wanda replied, as Death just grinned and offered her hand which Wanda took without much of a thought.

"You’ll just have to find out here in a minute" Death said, as she began to lead Wanda out of the shop. Wanda raised an eyebrow at her response, but followed her closely nonetheless.

Stepping out onto the streets of Gotham, Wanda watched as Death turned to her.

"Alright, now I’m going to teleport us out of here and to our date, try not to lose your grip on my hand for this part" Death said. Wanda blinked at these words, growing a bit more confused about what she had meant, but listened either way as she gripped Death’s hand.

She also used a bit of her power to keep them tethered together so that they will not get separated. As she could only assume that wherever Death was taking her, it was not a place you could just enter, even for her.

Meaning that the big guy himself, the Presence, was the one that kept the place locked away. She could only wonder what that place would be, as she was whisked off with an excited death.

After being teleported, it took a few moments for Wanda to adjust, as she looked around with surprise clear on her face. Her eyes widening in genuine surprise, something that Death had gotten very good at pulling from her.

They were in a library.

But Wanda - thanks to her divinity - could tell that the library was not normal. Her power was reacting wildly to the surroundings, and the library in general. She could tell just from standing there that it was absolutely impossibly massive.

Seemingly infinite in size.

"Where are we?" Wanda asked, looking at Death who smirked at her shock.

"Welcome Wanda, to the Akashic Library, also and more well known as the Akashic Records!" Death replied, taking joy in the way Wanda’s eyes widened at her mention.

Wanda knew what the Akashic records was, or what it represented. It was, in effect, a record or in this case, a library. A infinitely massive library that houses all past, present, and future events, thoughts, emotions, and intent.

It was basically a library that houses the sum of all knowledge. All knowledge in the DC multiverse could be found within this library. No matter how rare, how impossible, or how obscure it is, you can find knowledge on it inside.

And now she knew why it took Death so long to set the date up.

She had to get acceptance from the Presence himself to enter this place. For it was an important aspect of existence, and was one so important that nobody but the Presence and Destiny himself could enter the place. Well, mostly.

There was a few others, like Lucifer, Michael, and the other archangels. But the latter had limited access, with even Lucifer and Michael not being able to enter certain areas.

But Wanda was here now, in a place that only maybe a dozen or so others had ever been able to enter.

It was like a dream come true. The totality of knowledge in this multiverse.

Her own divinity was singing at the access. As there was knowledge inside that not even she, a primordial, could get access to. Knowledge of things like the true name of the Presence and certain other entities. Information on Perpetua and the truth of her creation.

Information on how to make certain energies, or how to unmake them. Information on the dark multiverse and how to control it in it’s entirety. All sorts of information that would be very very very bad if anyone ever gained access to it.

Anyone bad, at least.

And obviously enough, the big man did not see her as evil or bad, if he was willing to let her get access to the infinitely large library with knowledge you cannot find anywhere else in creation.

Wanda looked over at Death.

"I hope you know that I am going to fuck you until you cannot walk after this" Wanda said bluntly. She had been long ready to go all the way with the woman, and with Raven being 100% okay with it, she was more than willing to have fun with Death now.

Death couldn’t stop her blush from forming at her words, already imagining what was going to come later that night.

She had to press her thighs together slightly at the thought of that.

"So uh...you wanna look around for a while?" Death asked, trying to ignore what just occurred.

She was supposed to be leading this date.

Either way, Wanda just smirked - having noticed Death’s reaction - and responded.

"Of course...now lead the way!"
