Chapter 387 -211: Supreme Profound Celestial Opening Scripture

Taixuan Profound True Monarch spoke of three methods—high, middle, and low—but in his heart, Xuzhuang believed the high Dharma Practitioner was surely the path the True Monarch hoped he would follow.

However, this did not stop Xuzhuang from listening with utmost reverence. Taixuan Profound True Monarch was a great power of the Immortal Family, one who had refined the ultimate Pure Yang and attained eternal, imperishable merit. Regardless of his motives, listening to his advice would surely be beneficial to Xuzhuang.

Yet, the Taixuan Profound True Monarch simply said with profound inscrutability, “The supreme path in this world can only be found by oneself. If not, why would attaining the Great Dao be so difficult?”

This was not what Xuzhuang had expected, and he couldn’t help but be surprised upon hearing it.

The Taixuan Profound True Monarch just smiled faintly and didn’t continue the topic. Instead, he said, “Xuzhuang, you know that I studied the Dao at the Upper Profound Sect in my youth.”

Xuzhuang did not understand his meaning but could only affirm that he knew. The Taixuan Profound True Monarch paid it no mind and continued, “It is undeniable that although I have broken from the mold and forged my own path, the teachings passed down in my sect are still founded upon the Upper Xuan Daoist Skill.”

“But what I desire is to create something from nothing—to pioneer a Supreme Dao Technique that leads directly to Pure Yang, and even allows one to strive for Celestial Immortal Merit. Only such a technique is worthy of being eternally passed down in my Supreme Profound lineage. But of course, this cannot be accomplished overnight.”

Xuzhuang’s heart stirred, and a guess began to form in his mind. As expected, the Taixuan Profound True Monarch said slowly, “All karmic ties in this world are mutual. This is also why I said that there was originally a master-disciple bond between us.”

“Although you cannot become my disciple, it does not mean we cannot fulfill the destiny between us.”

“I have a scripture, the Supreme Profound Celestial Opening Scripture. It has the power to unlock wisdom and evolve the Great Dao, the ability to part the heavens and earth and let all techniques flourish. It can lend you a hand on your path to seeking the Dao, and you, in turn, can help me perfect it. Are you willing to learn it?”

Hearing this, Xuzhuang fell into deep thought. To be able to learn a Daoist skill created by a Pure Yang True Monarch was a heaven-sent stroke of fate. Besides, he had always had the idea of completing his nine orifices and mastering the Nine True Techniques in one body.

The Taixuan Profound True Monarch had spoken clearly. Passing on the Supreme Profound Celestial Opening Scripture was to fulfill their shared destiny, and he also hoped Xuzhuang would help him perfect the Supreme Profound Opening Heaven Scripture. Given the status of a Pure Yang True Monarch, it was impossible that he would deceive or plot against a mere junior like him.

The only thing to consider was that since his Nine-Orifice Pill Formation, the many true techniques he had cultivated all had their own unique origins. This would be the first time he was taught by another, and it was none other than Grand Ancestor Grandmaster Taixuan, a Pure Yang True Monarch.

Although the Taixuan Profound True Monarch said it would fulfill the destiny between them, if Xuzhuang learned the Supreme Profound Celestial Opening Scripture, the reality of the transmission of the Dao would be established. This was something he could not ignore.

After a long meditation, Xuzhuang suddenly smiled. ‘Why all this hesitation? I just need to follow my heart.’ He then raised his hands and performed half a disciple’s salute, saying with a solemn expression, “This junior is willing to learn the Supreme Profound Celestial Opening Scripture. I ask the True Monarch to impart the Dao.”

The Taixuan Profound True Monarch nodded slightly but was not in a hurry to begin his sermon. Instead, he said, “The Supreme Profound Celestial Opening Scripture is still in its nascent stages. It is abstruse and difficult to comprehend, and there is no step-by-step method to follow. I want you to listen to my teachings here for ten years. Do you have any unresolved matters?”

Xuzhuang pondered for a moment before asking, “To be honest with you, True Monarch, this junior came here regarding the matter of my unworthy disciple. I heard that your sect’s Master Quan summoned my disciple, and he has not returned for ten years?”

The Taixuan Profound True Monarch nodded slightly and said, “Quan Liu has a childish nature and acts mischievously, but she meant no harm to Li Changfeng. In fact, it might not necessarily be a bad thing for him, but a fortunate opportunity.”

Just as a hint of surprise arose in Xuzhuang, the Taixuan Profound True Monarch added, “It is just a pity that the destiny was not there, so it could not be forced. I will issue a decree to stop her from causing any more trouble.”

Xuzhuang nodded thoughtfully. Since the Taixuan Profound True Monarch had said this, Xuzhuang naturally had no further need to worry. He respectfully thanked the True Monarch and said, “Other than that, this junior has no other miscellaneous affairs.”

“Good.” The Taixuan Profound True Monarch nodded slightly. He suddenly flicked his fishing rod, pulling up a golden-scaled fish. Without pausing his movements, he slowly began to speak, “The Supreme Profound Celestial Opening Scripture. Listen well.”

Xuzhuang’s expression turned solemn, and he focused his mind to listen. As the Taixuan Profound True Monarch began to speak, a line of text seemed to appear in his mind, ‘Thus I have heard. The Taixuan Profound True Monarch imparts the Heaven-Opening Grand Dao Scripture…’

Jiang Han rode the wind through the clouds and soon arrived at a floating islet. Just as he stepped onto it, a childish voice suddenly called out from the side, “Jiang Han! Jiang Han! You’re here again.”

Following the voice, he saw a little girl of about thirteen or fourteen sitting on the branch of an old tree. Her round, jet-black eyes darted about as she said with a grin, “You don’t look so good. Is something on your mind?”

Jiang Han’s expression twitched slightly. He first clasped his hands in a salute and greeted, “Master Quan.” Only then did he say, “This junior is fine.”

“Ohhh—” Master Quan dragged out the sound, shaking her head. “Then you’ve come to ask me to release little Jin’Er and that boy again.”

“Precisely.” Just as Jiang Han affirmed, Master Quan immediately said, “No way! Little Jin’Er and that boy were the ones who told me they wanted to be together always, until death do them part. I’m just letting them experience it ten times. We’re only on the…”

Master Quan was counting on her fingers when Jiang Han said with an impassive face, “This is a decree from our Master.”

“What?” Master Quan jumped, a look of a child fearing their parents appearing on her face. “Is that true? You better not be tricking me.”

Jiang Han took an object from his sleeve and said flatly, “How would I dare to falsely transmit our Master’s decree? Does Master Quan require me to read it aloud?”

“Alright, alright.” Master Quan suddenly appeared in front of Jiang Han and pushed down his raised hand. “I’ll let them go. Come with me.”

Hearing this, Jiang Han put the decree away and followed Master Quan deep into the islet. There, he saw a clear spring trickling down a cliff face, filling a small pool. Li Changfeng and You Jin’Er were soaking in the pool, their hands still clasped tightly together.

Master Quan waved her hand, and the trickling spring was cut off at its source. The water level then inexplicably and rapidly dropped, soon revealing the bottom of the pool. Then, the two people’s eyelids fluttered, and they slowly opened their eyes.

A full quarter of an hour passed before the two seemed to come to their senses. Without a word, they immediately looked at each other. Seeing that the other was unharmed, though no words were spoken, their eyes overflowed with endless affection.

Master Quan pouted and said, “Looks like that ‘together always, until death do us part’ wasn’t just talk after all.”

Master Quan’s voice seemed to startle the pair. You Jin’Er was the first to look up. Seeing the two of them, her face immediately flushed with embarrassment, and she shouted, “Master Quan, I’m going to report you to my Master!”

Master Quan shuddered and cried, “The Master has already scolded me!” She then shot Jiang Han a look and said, “Hurry up and take them away. I still have lessons I haven’t finished, and the Master is going to reprimand me.” With that, she hastily vanished from sight.

Jiang Han couldn’t help but shake his head. He called out, “Junior Sister You, please come up first.” He then cupped his hands in a salute toward Li Changfeng, but his words faltered.

Logically, Jiang Han was a peer of Xuzhuang, but Li Changfeng was the husband chosen by You Jin’Er. For a moment, he didn’t know how to address him. After a short pause, he said, “Master Quan’s mischief has alarmed you, young friend. My Taixuan Orthodox Sect will provide you with satisfactory compensation for this matter.”

You Jin’Er was about to say something, but Li Changfeng gently tugged her hand, a reassuring look in his eyes that instantly calmed her. Only then did he return the salute and ask, “Venerable Xie, may I ask, Venerable, how long has it been since I arrived at your esteemed sect?”

Jiang Han replied, “It has been more than ten years.”

“Ten years…” A trace of melancholy appeared on Li Changfeng’s face, but it vanished in an instant. He smiled at You Jin’Er and said, “A mere ten years in exchange for being with my Jin’Er for three lifetimes. It’s not a loss by any means.”

A complex emotion showed in You Jin’Er’s eyes, and she tightened her grip on his hand. Li Changfeng returned her grip with a firm gaze, then said, “However, I’ve been at your esteemed sect for ten years with no news. I wonder if my Master is worried…”

Jiang Han said, “Fellow Daoist Xu is currently within the sect.”

“What?” Li Changfeng said in shock. “Is that so? Li Mou should go pay my respects to Master at once! Could the Venerable please show me the way?”

Jiang Han’s gaze flickered slightly as he said flatly, “Fellow Daoist Xu has been summoned by our Master and must listen to his teachings for ten years. I’m afraid he will have no time to see you, young friend.”
