Chapter 1152: Chapter 1152: She’s My Girlfriend

Just like that day, it was still Zhao Dingli dragging the suitcase, and Li Xiaoyun got into Zhao Dingli’s car again.

Now, Li Xiaoyun finally relaxed completely, no more tangled feelings.

She was even in the mood to feel a little amused, thinking she’d only just come back for about two hours.

Her own place hadn’t even had time to warm up, and she’d already left again.

But this time, there was no more unease in Li Xiaoyun’s heart.

The whole way she felt especially steady and at ease.

After parking, Zhao Dingli got out first to take the suitcase out of the trunk.

Li Xiaoyun got out of the car.

Coming back here again, Li Xiaoyun’s mood was different.

Dragging the suitcase, Zhao Dingli walked to her side and reached out to hold her hand.

He had held her hand before.

But this time was different.

This time, Zhao Dingli directly laced his fingers tightly with hers.

Even the way he held hands was full of intimacy.

"We’re home," Zhao Dingli said, his voice full of laughter.

You could plainly hear how pleased he was.

Before, Li Xiaoyun could also tell his moods from his tone.

When he was happy, when he was frustrated.

But she’d never seen him like this, his emotions this full.

Looks like Zhao Dingli really was especially happy.

Of course he was happy.

Previously, it wasn’t just Li Xiaoyun who felt unsettled, even he himself hadn’t felt settled.

He kept worrying that the day would come when Li Xiaoyun would move out.

Now it was fine—as long as he didn’t act up or make Li Xiaoyun angry.

Then Li Xiaoyun wouldn’t move out.

How could Zhao Dingli not be happy?

The two of them took the elevator upstairs.

It was clearly an apartment building—though there was only one unit per floor, because the building was tall, the total number of residents was still quite a lot.

But whether everyone was just especially busy, or they simply didn’t go out much when they were home.

Ever since Li Xiaoyun moved in, she’d never run into a neighbor.

But sure enough, you really shouldn’t jinx things.

She had just thought that, and right at the elevator doors they ran into a neighbor from some floor or other.

Seeing the two of them, the other person also froze for a second.

It was unclear whether he hadn’t expected to run into a neighbor, or hadn’t expected that Zhao Dingli actually had a girlfriend.

But immediately after, Li Xiaoyun realized it was the second one.

Because the other person quickly broke into a delighted grin: "Mr. Zhao, is this your girlfriend?"

Rarely, she actually saw an unusually proud look on Zhao Dingli’s face.

There was still a smile on his face—you could tell at a glance that he was in an especially good mood.

He said very proudly, "She’s my girlfriend, Li Xiaoyun."

"Miss Li." The other man caught sight of Zhao Dingli dragging the suitcase and guessed he might be picking Li Xiaoyun up to move in?

But whatever he guessed, he didn’t ask aloud.

Other people’s private business wasn’t something you asked about in such detail.

The three of them were all taking the elevator up.

Since Zhao Dingli’s place was on the top floor.

The neighbor, no matter how high he lived, would always get off first.

After seeing him off, they went up a few more floors; then Zhao Dingli and Li Xiaoyun got out of the elevator and arrived at the apartment door.

He opened the door, let Li Xiaoyun in first, then dragged the suitcase inside.

"It’s so late. Why don’t you rest first and sort out your luggage tomorrow?" Zhao Dingli said.

Li Xiaoyun shook her head and said, "There isn’t much stuff anyway. I’ll just sort it now. I took all my clothes away, so the only clothes I have left are what’s in the suitcase for work tomorrow. If I wait till morning, it’ll be too rushed."

So Zhao Dingli didn’t keep trying to persuade her.

Li Xiaoyun sorted out her luggage, and Zhao Dingli stayed with her.

Because she was in a good mood, even packing felt especially energetic, and she finished very quickly.

Li Xiaoyun let out a long breath—she’d put a lot of effort into it.

By the time she was done, even though it hadn’t been that much stuff, her lower back and shoulders were still sore.

After all, taking clothes and things out of the suitcase meant bending over again and again, then walking around to put everything back in its place.

Li Xiaoyun had a bit of OCD—wherever she’d originally planned to put something, it had to stay there.

If anyone messed with it, moved it somewhere else—even if it was just two bottles swapping places with each other—she’d have to change them back.

She put everything back exactly where it had been before.

After all that organizing, aside from there being fewer clothes than before, it was like she’d never left at all.

"All done?" Zhao Dingli came over and asked.

"Mm." Li Xiaoyun nodded. "Luckily I didn’t bring back much, so it was pretty quick to pack."

Zhao Dingli especially liked her using "bring back" to describe it.

He started massaging her shoulders for her.

His grip was strong, so it felt especially good.

Now that everything was out in the open, and since they were officially boyfriend and girlfriend, naturally they didn’t have to be like before, keeping so much distance when they were together.

To make it easier to pack, Li Xiaoyun had scooped her long hair up into a slightly loose bun at the back of her head.

A few wisps of hair fell at her ears and across her forehead, making her look lazily beautiful.

At the same time, it exposed the clean lines of her long neck.

Her fair neck made even Zhao Dingli’s breathing turn hotter.

His hands had a mind of their own; while he was kneading her shoulders, they kept drifting closer and closer to her neck.

Until his thumb couldn’t help sliding along the side of her neck.

Li Xiaoyun shivered, feeling a tingling at her neck.

From the side of her neck down to her arm, up from her neck to her scalp, everything tingled.

Zhao Dingli was forcing himself to hold back.

But it seemed even harder than before.

Before, he could still control himself because she wasn’t his girlfriend yet.

He was afraid of scaring her.

But now, she was his girlfriend.

Someone he was allowed to be intimate with.

How was Zhao Dingli supposed to hold back now?

Li Xiaoyun only felt his hot breath, sometimes light, sometimes heavy, spilling over her neck.

Her own nervous breathing was all over the place.

Sometimes she breathed in deeply, sometimes she didn’t dare breathe at all.

Too timid to turn around and look at him.

Suddenly, she felt his breath move away, and Li Xiaoyun was a little surprised.

She heard Zhao Dingli say, "It’s really late. You should get to bed; don’t you have work tomorrow?"

The two of them had been going back and forth all night.

When he came back, it had already been close to eleven.

Then he went to her place, confessed, talked so much.

She packed at her place, he brought her back here, then she packed again.

By now, it was already close to two.

Even though it was hard for him to endure, he still planned to hold out for a while.

Still the same thought.

He was afraid moving too fast would scare her.

Afraid she’d think he was just some horny guy.

That he’d just started dating her and was already thinking about that kind of thing, trying every which way to take advantage of her.

Li Xiaoyun had actually already made up her mind.

Even though they’d only officially gotten together today.

The time they’d spent together before was already long enough.

She understood and trusted Zhao Dingli, and honestly—who said only men were lustful?

She felt that she herself was also... very captivated by Zhao Dingli’s beauty.

She just hadn’t expected him to be this gentlemanly.

She could feel that he wanted to—after all, he’d made it so obvious.
