"I...!" Ling Yueyue was just about to say "it’s okay!" when she suddenly remembered the child in her belly and had to forcibly shut her mouth, letting Huo Junmo move away from her.

After getting off the bed, Huo Junmo took a bathrobe from the chair next to him and put it on, then left the room! Worried that Ling Yueyue might be seen by others, he made sure to close the door properly when he left the room!

Ling Yueyue lay on the bed, listening to the sound of the door opening outside, followed by the sound of a dining cart being pushed, then the conversation between Huo Junmo and the waiter, and finally the sound of the door closing again!

The sound of the door closing hadn’t lasted long before the room was once again opened by Huo Junmo from the outside.

Huo Junmo glanced at Ling Yueyue, who was lying on the bed stark naked without moving, and gave a subtle smile, speaking softly, "Get up and eat! If you laze around any longer, the food will get cold!"

"Oh!" Ling Yueyue lazily responded and got up from the bed, walked to the bathroom, grabbed a towel to wrap around herself, and then left the room to dine with Huo Junmo!

"I know you can’t eat seafood, so I ordered Chinese food earlier! Eat quickly! You haven’t eaten anything since this morning; don’t go starving yourself!" As he spoke, Huo Junmo led Ling Yueyue to the dining table and personally served her rice and dishes!

Ling Yueyue nodded. She already ate ravenously, plus she was genuinely hungry, and before long, she had finished off two large bowls of rice!

Huo Junmo watched her eat with a resigned look, a strong sense of amusement in his eyes!

After eating to her heart’s content, Ling Yueyue burped without any semblance of grace, rubbed her round stomach, wiped the oil stain from the corner of her mouth, stretched her arms wide, and lazily stretched her body.

Seeing Huo Junmo eating unhurriedly, elegantly and composedly, Ling Yueyue impatiently stood up, winked at Huo Junmo with a flirtatious glint, "Hurry up, husband, eat faster! I’ll be waiting for you in the room!"

Hearing this, Huo Junmo paused his actions, looking at Ling Yueyue in surprise!

Seeing his expression, Ling Yueyue couldn’t help but burst into laughter, "Oh, don’t misunderstand! "Cough cough...!" Listening to Ling Yueyue’s bold and straightforward words, Huo Junmo choked on the food in his mouth, uncomfortably coughing! Due to the coughing, a bit of food from his mouth inevitably sprayed out!

Embarrassment combined with the cough made Huo Junmo’s handsome face turn red!

Seeing him like this, the smile on Ling Yueyue’s lips deepened, quickly pouring him a cup of tea and handing it over. While Huo Junmo drank, she gently soothed his back, "Husband, take it easy; how did you manage to choke without even really eating?"

Huo Junmo simply smiled without speaking, gazing at Ling Yueyue with eyes full of tenderness.

Ling Yueyue asked with a cheeky smile, "Mr. Huo, do you think my words are too straightforward for you to handle?"

Huo Junmo mentally cleared his throat, and softly replied, "I love your forthright nature, not hiding anything! I’m just not used to it right now—give me some time, I’ll gradually adapt!"

"Good boy!" Ling Yueyue lightly patted Huo Junmo’s handsome face as if comforting a child, continuing, "Actually, don’t misunderstand that I’m a casual woman! I’m not like this with everyone; I’m only like this with the man I love! So, you ought to feel lucky!"

"Oh!" Huo Junmo replied softly, asking with hidden meaning, "Really? So how many men have you loved?"

Upon hearing this, Ling Yueyue was instantly outraged, "Hey, what do you mean by that? What do you mean by how many men have I loved? I’m only twenty years old—normally, I’m either in school or working. Where would I find the time to love men? I don’t have the leisure!"

Huo Junmo raised an eyebrow, grinning, "So you’re saying I’m the first man you’ve loved, and the first man in your life?"

Ling Yueyue replied matter-of-factly, "Of course! Despite my carefree nature, I’m someone who loves deeply. Once I fall for someone, it’s a lifetime commitment—never changing!"

"Oh!" Huo Junmo nodded and, after a while, suddenly asked, "Then why did you choose to marry me in the first place? Was it... love at first sight?"

"...!" Being asked so directly by Huo Junmo, Ling Yueyue’s face flushed red, her eyes flickered as she stammered for a while, not knowing how to respond. So, she opted to stand up with a smile and said, "I’m going back to the room to wait for you—take your time eating, no rush, no rush!" With that, she didn’t wait for Huo Junmo’s reaction and dashed back to the room as if escaping.

Looking at the closed door, Huo Junmo helplessly smiled, shook his head, and continued dining!

Back in the room, Ling Yueyue lightly patted her wildly thumping heart!

That was close—almost, almost she was going to let Huo Junmo in on it! Almost, she couldn’t help but tell Huo Junmo she chose to marry him because she’s carrying his child!

Thankfully, she stopped herself at the last moment.

The reason she didn’t tell Huo Junmo back then that she was pregnant was firstly out of fear he wouldn’t take responsibility and would ask her to abort it; and secondly, out of fear he would marry her just because of the child!

The reason she isn’t telling him now either is that she doesn’t want Huo Junmo to treat her well, to love her because of the child!

She wants Huo Junmo to genuinely love Ling Yueyue for who she is before she tells him about the child she’s carrying!

Luckily, the child in her belly has been really good—up till now showing no signs of pregnancy whatsoever, as if she’s not pregnant at all!

After calming herself down, Ling Yueyue went to the bathroom to wash her face, wrapped herself in a towel, then lay on the bed, playing with her phone while waiting for Huo Junmo to come in!

While scrolling, her mind inadvertently wandered to her parents back home!

I wonder if my big sister’s issue has been resolved yet? How much was paid in the end! Ever since changing my phone, I’ve lost all contact with them! I really have no idea how things are going over there!
