Chapter 851 – Pushed too far?

"What I want to know is why you can have more than 9 or possibly 10 tails." Mei frowned. This was very important. She already knew some of the information behind the scenes, but she wanted to know more.

"Just go along~" Moon Aiko hummed.

"How about showing her the continental flying ship?" Mei suggested, since they were getting nowhere.

"Good idea." Dai Lu supported that decision, since her brain started to hurt at this point.

"Why- You know what, fine." Mei waved the white flag of defeat, standing up from behind the table.

"Let's go." She would just show everyone around.

The continental flying ship was progressing smoothly.

It was a complete behemoth, about 5 times the size of the previous continental flying ships.

It was supported by several Floating Stones, making it exceptionally stable and sturdy against impact.

The outer hull was made out of wood and metal. All the important compartments were reinforced from the inside and outside for extra protection, but the surrounding areas were also randomly reinforced.

This was to save cost and confuse their enemies at the same time, buying time before they were able to locate the Floating Stones and destroy them.

"It's a bit comical?" Moon Aiko felt like the wood didn't match the metal.

"We will polish the wood later, for now foundation is more important. The main hull had to be reinforced a few times since it always broke in the middle, then sides, and we had to eventually replace the skeleton with metal in order to cope with the sheer weight of this thing." Mei explained as they were walking outside the huge continental flying ship.

"Wouldn't that mean we need more Floating Stones?" Moon Aiko raised her eyebrow.

"I... might have to borrow a few more, yeah..." Mei pursed her lips. If she wanted to float this thing, it would require a lot more than what she had on hand.

"But I want them back later." Moon Aiko didn't mind handing over a few Floating Stones, but she wanted to play with them later on.

"It's only until we cross the ocean." Mei nodded seriously. This was their craft, so nobody would be able to say it was theirs and claim ownership...

It was Dai Lu, using her sword for traversal.

"As you can see, the metal reinforcement is just stuck to it, but it's also wrapped around the main ribs of the continental flying ship. This ensures that it can't be easily peeled back." Mei kept explaining as they landed on the main deck.

"As you can see, we only have the outer shell, but the insides should go quicker as there are smaller parts in play." Mei smiled happily.

A scream and then crash. Whoever was on the other side was sent tumbling down the stairs, crashing repeatedly with strange screams.

"We both know that wild asses need testing." Moon Aiko said seriously before breaking into a sprint and as expected Mei followed her.

"Can you keep your hands to yourself for at least a day?!" Mei was furious for being teased and now this-!

"We both know that if you were in my shoes you would do the same!" Moon Aiko tried to defend herself.

"No! I have common decency!" Mei kept running after her. Neither of them used their bodies to the fullest.

Were they playing around? Probably, but it was damn scary for the other Foxes working on this place.

It seemed like the other Foxes were also chased around by Mei if they broke something or if something serious happened.

"You? Someone who teases me constantly?" Moon Aiko wanted to say that Mei bullied her, but she worried what might happen next if she did that.

"So what? I'm your partner for goodness' sake!" Mei pouted while chasing Aiko.

"So, where are we?" Moon Aiko didn't stop her dash and asked as she passed a few rooms.

They were quite spacious, with many chains inside, but other than that, they were pretty dark and bleak. They also had many Runes scribbled on the walls, making it quite the sight to behold.

"This is the Levitation Stone part, where we line them up in a way- Hold on! You are not getting away with this!" Mei yelled at her.

"And what is that?" Moon Aiko pointed at another room.

It was mostly an empty room, with strange-like apparatus in the middle. Around it was an Array and more Inscriptions. There were 5 'seats' for someone to sit around it.

There were also pillows and other things, to make it more comfortable for those that were working inside this place.

"That's the thrust room, you use- You are doing this on purpose!" Mei glared at Aiko. Speeding up.

Moon Aiko panicked seeing that, so she took a few corners, arriving in front of doors.

She opened them quickly and shut them behind her, breathing a sight of relief.

Turning around to see what this room was all about, she was left momentarily speechless.

This room was huge, probably the captain's room. The walls were made out of lighter-coloured wood, making it more spacious than you might expect. There were even 'windows' made from Illusion that were connected to the outside, so it pretty much mimicked anything and everything that happened outside.

The ceiling was mostly bare, with few colourful paintings here and there. It was obvious that this part was unfinished, but the floor was simply exceptional.

The floor was covered by an incredibly soft fur carpet. Different parts had different lengths, so if you wanted to, you could experience different sensations.

They were colourful and matched the ambience well.

On the sides, there were dressers and other furniture. There was even a long table with low chairs, a couch and few other things.

In the middle of the room was a large bed, with all features that a Fox might need, especially a spacious room all around it, so that they had room for their tails.

"Do you like it?" A soft voice drifted into Aiko's ears, making her jump.

"I-I do." Moon Aiko didn't know why she panicked, but she simply had a foreboding feeling.

And that feeling was right as Mei locked the doors behind her.

"I-I can protect myself!" Moon Aiko felt existential danger from Mei right now as she licked her lips.

"Bad Foxes deserves punishment, don't you think~?" Mei smiled, eating Aiko with her eyes...
