Chapter 335 - 180: Searching for Demon Fiends, Phoenix Feather Vermilion Fruit
The Phoenix Feather Vermilion Fruit. Legend has it that this Vermilion Fruit is stained with Phoenix Essence Blood and grows in a Land of the Yin Pole. It is formed over countless ages, condensed under a unique confluence of celestial timing, terrestrial advantage, and various other special conditions.
The energy it contains is immense, enough for a Cultivator in the True Martial Realm to achieve consecutive breakthroughs. Consuming it even offers a slight chance of obtaining Phoenix Flame Power. The sheer amount of energy it holds is so great that it would even be beneficial to a Tongxuan Realm Cultivator!
"The heavens are smiling on me! I have a chance to reach the Tongxuan Realm!" the gray-robed man exclaimed in excitement.
At that moment...
"Hahaha, it really is the Phoenix Feather Vermilion Fruit!
I was right! There really is a peerless opportunity near the Silent Extinction Abyss!" Just then, a middle-aged man in black robes streaked across the sky like an ethereal, otherworldly light, abruptly descending upon the area.
"Hmm?!"
At this sight, the gray-robed man’s heart sank. Without a moment’s hesitation, his figure flickered and vanished, reappearing in an instant before the Phoenix Feather Vermilion Fruit. The fruit pulsed with a scorching, fiery glow, radiating an immensely vast energy. He reached out his arm, just about to pluck it.
"You’re courting death! This Phoenix Feather Vermilion Fruit is fated to be mine. Do you think you can just touch it as you please?
You’ve just signed your death warrant!"
A cold glint flashed in the black-robed man’s eyes. The True Yuan within him roiled like a serpent, and the full power of his True Martial Seventh Layer Cultivation erupted. The very space around him trembled violently, as if battered by a torrential flood.
In the next instant, he clenched his fingers, condensing a sphere of profound True Yuan. With a savage thrust, it tore through the void. The ball of tyrannical power slammed into the gray-robed man’s chest, brutally smashing him into the ground below. A deep crater formed, and dust billowed into the air.
"Piece of trash, daring to touch the Phoenix Feather Vermilion Fruit," the black-robed man muttered. His gaze then shifted to the fruit itself, which was wreathed in a hazy, fiery glow. Amidst the swirling light, the illusion of a phoenix seemed to drift, radiating an exceptionally vast energy.
A flicker of greed crossed the black-robed man’s eyes. ’I can reach the Tongxuan Realm! The Beast Taming Sect will finally rise!’ The thought sent a thrill of excitement through him, and just as he moved to take the fruit...
WHOOSH! WHOOSH!
Several streaks of light shot through the air, instantly appearing in the sky above.
"Just as expected. It really is the Phoenix Feather Vermilion Fruit! Wang Jiu, you’ve done well," said a powerfully built man with a hint of excitement. He was sturdy as a brown bear, clad in blue robes, and exuded the aura of the True Martial Realm Eighth Layer.
"Hmm?!"
The black-robed man, Wang Jiu, whipped his head around to look at the gray-robed man in the crater. He saw him defiantly clutching a faintly glowing Communication Talisman.
Wang Jiu’s face darkened instantly. He turned to the brawny man and said, "Sir, I saw this Phoenix Feather Vermilion Fruit first. Surely you understand the principle of first come, first served!"
"Hahaha! What bullshit ’first come, first served’?
Treasures have always belonged to the worthy!" the brawny, blue-robed man boomed, laughing as if he’d just heard the world’s greatest joke.
As he spoke, the full force of his True Martial Realm Eighth Layer Cultivation erupted from him, his entire being radiating a powerful momentum that showed he was ready to fight!
Wang Jiu gritted his teeth. A look of grim determination flashed in his eyes as the aura around him suddenly erupted.
’I’ll risk it all for the Phoenix Feather Vermilion Fruit,’ he thought. ’This opportunity is right in front of me. I have to fight for it.’
For a moment, the valley, bathed in the light of a crescent moon, was saturated with astonishing battle intent, threatening to erupt at any second.
Suddenly, a voice like a great, sonorous bell rang out, piercing the heavens. It was a Dao Sound, imbued with supreme Divine Power, that echoed between heaven and earth.
"A fine sentiment, that ’treasures belong to the worthy.’"
"This Phoenix Feather Vermilion Fruit is fated to be mine. Does anyone have an objection?"
A figure in white robes hung suspended in the sky above, wreathed in a hazy, ethereal glow that obscured its face. It was as if one of the Immortal Gods had descended. An incredibly terrifying Dao Rhythm radiated from its body, causing the very heavens and earth to tremble.
