Cultivation: I Have a Golden Talisman

Chapter 502 - 17: Tea for the Master

  • Next Chapter

How could an ordinary Dharma Cultivator possibly block a Tier Five Flying Sword?

Much less multiple Tier Five Flying Swords formed into an Unparalleled Sword Array?

The moment Xia Guming, Cangjiezi, and Sun Heyan were trapped by the Sword Array, Cangjiezi was struck. His head was severed, and he died on the spot.

Soon after, Sun Heyan also failed to hold out for long before a streak of sword light coiled around his waist, slicing him in two.

Xia Guming only escaped disaster by relying on the protective golden radiance emitted by the Tier Five Magical Artifact in his hand, the Reincarnation Mirror.

Seeing Cangjiezi and Sun Heyan fall one after the other, he was terrified. Without hesitation, he slit his palm, smeared his essence blood on the Reincarnation Mirror, and cried out, "Ancestor, save me!"

「A few breaths later.」

An ancient sigh echoed from the Reincarnation Mirror, and then a large hand reached out from within its golden radiance.

The hand swept through the Sword Array, parting the brilliant sword light and opening a path for Xia Guming to escape.

Xia Guming was overjoyed. Leaving an afterimage behind, he instantly fled the Sword Array and vanished over the horizon.

The Sword Array slowly came to a halt, splitting into three streaks of sword light that flew back into the Qianhuan Immortal Mansion.

The great battle was over.

Silence fell over the sea and sky.

A Female Cultivator flew out of the Immortal Mansion. After collecting the mutilated corpses of the members of the Ancient Evil Race and the Human Race Dharma Cultivators, she looked down at the distant Life Soul Cultivators and said indifferently, "Are you not leaving?"

At her words, the crowd of Cultivators scrambled to flee into the distance.

Li Huan stood in the void, gazing at the lingering phantoms of spiritual light and the traces of auras left in the sky, a complex expression on her beautiful face.

For a moment, she was overcome with the feeling that she had chosen the right person to follow.

Her master’s strength had shattered the upper limits of her expectations time and time again.

Today, witnessing the grand feat of him slaughtering a host of Cultivators while simultaneously refining the Immortal Mansion, her heart was filled with nothing but endless adoration, beyond just shock.

Though men and women are different, their desires are the same.

Men covet a woman’s beauty; women admire a man’s worth.

’When word of this battle gets out, Master’s name will shake the world.’

Li Huan’s beautiful eyes shimmered, her heart filled with anticipation.

Not long after, the Qianhuan Immortal Mansion suddenly erupted with boundless, treasured light. Then, with a soft tremor, it abruptly shrank into a speck of dust and vanished.

Fang Cheng’s figure appeared leisurely in the sky, a smile on his face, unable to conceal his delight at his gains.

"Let’s go."

He called out, then used the Void God Gu to conceal his and Li Huan’s figures before returning to the Gloomy Valley on the West Shore of the Illusory Sun Sea.

...

Deep in the Gloomy Valley, a waterfall cascaded down.

On Ping Lake, where jade-green waves rippled, a small boat glided slowly across the water.

On the boat, Li Huan knelt at the bow. Before her was a small jade table, upon which a pot of Spirit Tea was brewing.

Beneath her cyan dress, the Female Demon Emperor’s long, fair thighs were dazzling, glistening as if carved from jade. Her full, peach-like buttocks strained against the fabric of her skirt as she rested on her delicate, snow-jade feet, tracing a perfect, rounded curve.

Fang Cheng sat cross-legged opposite her, taking stock of his recent gains.

The five members of the Ancient Evil Race, along with Cangjiezi and Sun Heyan, carried nothing more than some Spirit Stones, Fourth-rank Talismans, and Spirit Pills, which served to replenish Fang Cheng’s own stores.

Beyond that, there were their corpses.

The bodies of Tier Four members of the Ancient Evil Race and Human Race Dharma Cultivators were all rare materials for refining treasures.

Unfortunately for Fang Cheng, the Resentment Demon Bead in his Qi Sea now looked down on "blood food" of this level.

So, Fang Cheng simply had Li Huan collect the remains in her jade flask to feed the Tier Four Demon Beast inside.

The greatest gains this time, however, were the legacy treasures left behind by the Tribulation Realm Great Power, Ascendant Qianhuan.

The first was one hundred and eight Fourth-rank Demon-Subduing Pillars.

It was unknown how long it took Ascendant Qianhuan to refine so many Fourth-rank Magical Artifacts, but since Tribulation Realm Great Powers had nearly infinite lifespans aside from their heavenly tribulations, it wasn’t particularly surprising.

Each of these one hundred and eight Demon-Subduing Pillars could suppress a Tier Four Celestial Demon. Once assembled, they could be used to lay down a Five-tiered Demon Suppression Array, a treasure for protecting one’s home and sect.

The second was the Ancient Demon Egg.

According to Li Huan, this Demon Egg came from beyond their realm. It was a rare treasure comparable to a Tier Five Spiritual Object and could hatch a Tier Five Magical Beast.

Most importantly, this Tier Five Magical Beast would be completely obedient to the one who refined the Demon Egg.

Back then, Ascendant Qianhuan had obtained this treasure but perished under a heavenly tribulation before he had the chance to hatch it, which was a real pity.

The giant egg was about ten feet tall, dark yellow in color, and slightly crystalline. It was surrounded by a dazzling Demonic Light, with phantoms of countless ferocious beasts transforming into runes that circled it, giving off a malevolent aura.

Fang Cheng planned to properly nurture and hatch it before the Feathered Immortal Tree appeared.

The third treasure was the Qianhuan Immortal Mansion itself.

This Tier Five Immortal Mansion was also a rare treasure. Not only could it fly through the heavens and burrow into the earth, allowing one to roam the world, but its interior was also vast and profound, a magnificent spectacle.

This treasure could automatically devour the Heaven and Earth Spiritual Qi, converting it into a Tier Five Spiritual Vein, making it a veritable mobile cultivation Sacred Land.

Furthermore, the Immortal Mansion could conjure a thousand different manors, forming an Immortal City Formation of infinite variations to trap and kill any intruders.

But the item that Fang Cheng was most unsure about was an ancient cauldron located next to the Immortal Mansion’s central hub.

This was the fourth treasure left by Ascendant Qianhuan.

The ancient cauldron was only two or three feet tall and was entirely golden. A strange beast crouched on its lid, and its body was covered in carvings depicting exotic birds and beasts, mountains, clouds, wind, water, and fire. There were also many ancient scripts and talismans. Its form was strange and ancient, and it glowed with a brilliant light.

Fang Cheng gently patted the side of the cauldron. Instantly, countless cries of birds and roars of beasts erupted from it. Chirps, calls, angry roars, and long bellows all mixed into a complex chorus, with what sounded like thousands of different species.

Li Huan watched from the side and said softly, "Master, this cauldron should be the legendary Nine Yi Cauldron, the treasure Ascendant Qianhuan used to make his name."

Fang Cheng examined the Treasure Cauldron closely and saw that the images on its surface were constantly changing; each time he looked, they were different. He then realized that the forms displayed on the cauldron were all-encompassing, as countless as the sands of the Ganges, and utterly endless.

Looking again at the creature coiled on the lid, he saw that it had the head of an ox, the body of a snake, the trunk of an elephant, and the tail of a lion. It had six feet and four wings. Its front legs were raised high while the other four were crouched low, giving it an extremely ferocious appearance. Though the lid was small, the creature radiated a fierce divine might and seemed poised to take flight, looking incredibly lifelike.

"Oh? You recognize this treasure?" Fang Cheng glanced up at Li Huan. "What can it do?"

Li Huan’s beautiful eyes danced as she poured tea, and she replied with a sweet smile, "It is rumored that this cauldron possesses supreme power and infinite wonders. It specializes in collecting all kinds of treasures."

Fang Cheng’s eyebrow twitched with interest. He reached out and slightly lifted the cauldron’s lid.

Unexpectedly, the moment a crack appeared, boundless golden stars and red threads spun like a whirlwind of lightning, threatening to burst from the opening. The light was so intense it was blinding. At the same time, a deafening roar, like the crash of ten thousand thunderbolts, erupted from within, echoing endlessly through the Gloomy Valley. The commotion was terrifying.

Fang Cheng hastily slammed the lid shut.

In that fleeting glimpse, he had already seen clearly what was inside the cauldron.

Within that blinding radiance was a sparkling object—a round, egg-sized bead filled with a chaotic mixture of azure and white light.

The bead rotated occasionally, its azure and white light sometimes separating and sometimes merging.

When the two lights separated, the azure light rose and the white light sank. Within the azure light were countless celestial phenomena—sun, moon, stars, wind, clouds, thunder, and rain. Within the white light appeared the terrestrial forms of mountains, rivers, lakes, seas, and all living things, whether they flew, swam, or grew from the ground.

It was much like the carvings on the cauldron’s exterior, but everything within the bead seemed alive, albeit moving in slow motion.

When the bead rotated and the azure and white lights merged once more, everything within returned to chaos.

With just that one glance, Fang Cheng knew this was an extraordinary treasure!

If the Nine Yi Cauldron truly had the supreme ability to collect all sorts of treasures as Li Huan claimed, then he had undoubtedly gained another trump card.

Fang Cheng returned to his senses, Li Huan’s gentle and charming voice sounding by his ear, "Master, have some tea."
