But this was a matter that required a slow and steady approach. That was why he had decided to lay the groundwork early. Without delaying his own cultivation, he would make his first move and simply wait for it to bear fruit.

Fang Cheng waved his sleeve, retracting the Soul-devouring Array and the Netherworld Banner. He said to his two sons, "Good. The three of us will go first to lay a foundation, and then we can develop it slowly over time. We won’t stay for too long on this trip."

Jingyuan and Jingxuan nodded in assent.

Fang Cheng rose and pointed at the Ten Thousand Worlds Compass. The Compass immediately flew out of Yongchang Hall, instantly expanding to a thousand feet in diameter. It hung high in the sky like a golden sun, emitting a vast and heart-stopping aura.

The father and his sons walked out of the hall. Fang Cheng then cast several Spells at the Ten Thousand Worlds Compass.

The golden Compass, hanging high in the firmament, began to slowly rotate. The points of starlight on its surface shone with a dazzling brilliance.

The next moment, the Ten Thousand Worlds Compass shot out a blinding ray of golden light, which fell directly upon Fang Cheng and his two sons.

A flash of golden light flared between heaven and earth.

Then, the Ten Thousand Worlds Compass and the three men vanished completely!

A scorching sun burned high in the dome of the sky.

Below lay a vast, boundless desert. The seemingly frozen, unchanging landscape was a sea of winding, undulating dunes.

The surface was unbearably hot, like an inferno. It was a land utterly devoid of life.

Suddenly, several pitch-black cracks appeared in the sky, and then a disk radiating golden light emerged.

The disk slowly rotated, and the space around it shattered and collapsed. Three figures could be vaguely seen stepping out from the golden light.

Fang Cheng waved his sleeve, putting away the Ten Thousand Worlds Compass. His Divine Sense swept across the land, but he detected no fluctuations from any other living beings.

The Sand Soul Realm was mostly desert, with occasional weathered stone mountains rising from the sands.

The Barbarian Race of this realm lived in the crevices of these stone mountains, surviving on underground water sources.

As for the realm’s dominant Soul Race, they resided high above in the Extreme Heaven.

Fang Cheng summoned the Ruyi Celestial Escape Shuttle and, with Jingyuan and Jingxuan, picked a random direction to travel.

The yellow sands stretched on endlessly. The Spiritual Qi between heaven and earth was thin, making it unsuitable for cultivation.

The three of them flew for several hours before sensing the fluctuations of a battle in the distance.

Flying closer, they saw a swarm of white, rainbow-like lights besieging more than ten hulking giants.

These white lights were like living, spiritual beings. Each was dozens of feet long and emanated an illusory white radiance. They moved with silent, graceful agility.

"So this is the Soul Race!" Jingyuan said grimly, his eyes flashing.

According to Qinghao Wanderer, this race could ignore most defensive Divine Techniques, drilling directly into a Cultivator’s Sea of Consciousness to devour their soul.

Only Divine Techniques like Demonic Light, Buddha Light, Divine Light, or True Light could counter them.

And the giants, who stood over ten feet tall with bodies covered in Scale Armor, were the other major race of this realm: the Barbarian Race.

The Barbarians had abundant qi and blood and possessed incredible physical strength. Each one was a veritable furnace of vitality, comparable to a Body Refining Cultivator of the Human Race at the Life Talisman Realm.

At that moment, each of the Barbarians held a string of Bone Beads, which they activated with their qi and blood. The beads bloomed with a strange, blood-colored light, forming a peculiar defensive formation to resist the Soul Race’s assault.

Suddenly, a sand dune exploded, and a gigantic, python-like creature burst out with a piercing shriek.

A Sand Worm!

This Sand Worm was a hundred feet long and yellowish-brown. Its face was ferocious, and its mouth was filled with sharp teeth.

On the Sand Worm’s back, a burly Barbarian wielded a serrated blade, viciously hacking into the creature’s body and ripping it down its spine.

Some members of the Soul Race tried to attack this Barbarian, but they were all blocked by his comrades.

In less than the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, the Barbarian had killed the Sand Worm on the spot. He then deftly chopped it into several pieces and quickly stored them in a bottle-shaped Magical Artifact carved from white bone that hung at his waist.

The Barbarian let out a great roar. His companions immediately broke off their engagement with the Soul Race and began a fighting retreat, sprinting into the distance.

Their bodies were powerful, allowing them to cover hundreds of feet with each leap. They fled across the desert with incredible speed.

But the Soul Race was unwilling to let them go, stubbornly hounding the Barbarians and continuously harassing them.

In a moment of carelessness, one of the Barbarian warriors had his protective blood-colored light broken by a white rainbow. Several more white rainbows silently flew in and instantly drilled into his body.

The next moment, the Barbarian warrior cried out in agony and collapsed, motionless.

Seeing this, the other Barbarians’ faces filled with grief, but they were helpless. They could only lower their heads and continue to flee into the distance.

Fang Cheng saw it clearly. ’Once their formation scattered, the power of the blood-colored light diminished greatly, giving the Soul Race an opening.’

He stepped out of the Ruyi Celestial Escape Shuttle, stretched out a hand, and pressed down.

RUMBLE!

As if the very sky were collapsing, a great hand brimming with demonic intent slammed down, accompanied by a deafening crash.

Netherworld Hand Seal.

All the Barbarians saw were endless waves of darkness surging into their vision. A Demon Light Hand filled their world, blocking out everything else.

It was as if a Nether Purgatory was descending upon them.

The Soul Race bore the brunt of the attack!

Underneath the great hand, the white, rainbow-like lights had nowhere to run. They all dissolved, as if devoured by the hand.

The Netherworld Hand Seal was the culmination of the Yinluo Sect’s Nine Great Ultimate Arts. It integrated the power of the Netherworld Banner, allowing it to refine souls and demonic intent with ease.

The Barbarians, on the other hand, only felt a cold wind brush past their faces. The expected obliteration—being smashed into a pulp by the palm strike—did not occur.

When the lead Barbarian saw the celestial phenomenon vanish, leaving only three "short" outsiders standing in the air, a look of awe appeared on his face. He fell to his knees and began making strange sounds.
