Cultivation: I Can Traverse Otherworlds

Chapter 385 - 61: Secret Realm, Spiritual Medicine Garden, Ancient Bell

  • Next Chapter

Near the Earth Abyss.

Three streaks of light flew cautiously through an area filled with spatial rifts before finally landing in a certain spot.

SWOOSH!

The Spiritual Light dissipated, revealing three figures.

They were none other than Pei Jingque, the Sect Leader of the Bright Void Sect; her husband, Zhu Ju; and Zhu Ju’s Outer Body Incarnation, Wukong.

"This place is surrounded by eight mountains, and the Earth Veins are interconnected. It’s the perfect spot to create the Spirit Lock to open the Secret Realm."

As she spoke, she raised her hand and tossed out an object.

The object was palm-sized and two-sided. One side was engraved with flowers, birds, and swimming fish; the other, with gods, demons, and Demon Ghosts.

"So this is the key to the Langya Secret Realm?"

Zhu Ju spoke up.

"To think the Seeking Immortal Sect has the ability to refine the passage to a Secret Realm into a key. It’s truly eye-opening."

"This isn’t a technique of the Seeking Immortal Sect." Pei Jingque shook her head. "The Langya Secret Realm was originally part of the Langya Cave Heaven, one of the Jade Void Sect’s Thirty-Six Cave Heavens. This item was also refined by a senior from the Jade Void Sect."

"A senior from the Jade Void Sect sealed the Secret Realm’s entrance within the key. Descendants can then adjust the key’s Spirit Lock, so only those who know the Spirit Lock can enter the Secret Realm, making it difficult for outsiders to get in."

"And thus, no one knows the Secret Realm’s true location!"

Zhu Ju understood.

The so-called Spirit Lock was really just a password lock; only by entering the correct password could one open the Secret Realm.

The Seeking Immortal Sect had already given their password to the Bright Void Sect, but Pei Jingque wasn’t at ease and insisted on changing it again.

This "password," as it were, was the tidal frequency of the Heaven and Earth Primordial Energy.

Different terrains produced different tides.

Therefore, by finding a place unknown to anyone else and replicating its tidal force, one could create a password that would be impossible for others to reproduce.

This was the place Pei Jingque had chosen.

"Husband."

After casting out several rays of Spiritual Light, Pei Jingque paused and said, "Although there isn’t much inside the Langya Secret Realm, it is a Secret Realm nonetheless. Shouldn’t we ask Fellow Daoist Wukong to step aside?"

"Heh..." Zhu Ju chuckled. With a light wave of his hand, the black robe on Wukong flew up into the air.

It revealed a small, thin body, monkey-like yet not quite a monkey.

"A demon!"

Pei Jingque’s expression froze, then her eyes filled with shock and doubt. "No, it’s not a demon. It has no Demon Qi."

"This is..."

Her thoughts raced in her Sea of Consciousness. Recalling a certain legendary object, an expression of utter disbelief crossed her face.

"A Primordial Spirit Stone Embryo!"

"That’s right." Zhu Ju nodded. "It’s an Outer Body Incarnation hatched from a Primordial Spirit Stone Embryo, so there’s no need to keep secrets from it."

"So it really is a Primordial Spirit Stone Embryo!" Pei Jingque’s expression was complex as she recalled what had happened before. "No wonder you insisted on getting the Innate Spiritual Milk. You needed it to hatch the Primordial Spirit Stone Embryo."

"But..."

"Was all that Innate Spiritual Milk enough?"

"It was already close to gaining Spirituality, so I didn’t use up all the Innate Spiritual Milk last time." Zhu Ju took out a porcelain vial and tossed it over. "There were seven drops left. Here are four of them."

Pei Jingque reached out and caught it. Her voice was tinged with emotion as she spoke, "Husband, your fortuitous encounters are truly extraordinary. To think that such a legendary Curious Object would fall into your hands."

’It’s one thing to obtain it, but to actually be able to hatch it!’

One must understand that a Primordial Spirit Stone Embryo was an incredibly precious Exotic Treasure, even for Golden Core and Nascent Soul cultivators.

Refining a Primordial Spirit Stone Embryo into an Outer Body Incarnation was equivalent to having a second person assisting one’s own Cultivation.

One day of Cultivation would yield the results of two.

Compared to such a miraculous purpose, simply using it as a fighter would be a waste.

"No wonder your Cultivation has progressed so rapidly, Husband. With its help, given time, forget just the Golden Core—you might even be able to glimpse the Nascent Soul Realm."

A Dao Foundation Cultivator has a lifespan of three hundred years.

If one could reach Dao Foundation Perfection before the age of two hundred, they would have nearly a forty percent chance of advancing to the Golden Core Realm.

With the aid of a Core Formation Elixir and a Secret Technique, that chance could rise to fifty or sixty percent.

That was by no means a low success rate.

Unfortunately, even in top-tier Immortal Sects and Major Sects, those who could reach Dao Foundation Perfection before the age of two hundred were few and far between.

But with a Primordial Spirit Stone Embryo, it became exceptionally easy.

The same held true for advancing from the Golden Core to the Nascent Soul Realm.

In short, with the assistance of a Primordial Spirit Stone Embryo, the originally arduous path of Cultivation would become incredibly simple.

"It was a stroke of luck."

Zhu Ju gave a faint smile. "I ran into two Tribulation Cultivators in the East Sea and obtained this treasure from them. I was quite surprised myself at the time."

"It’s said that a Primordial Spirit Stone Embryo can grow indefinitely, and that a truly mature one is an existence even more powerful than a Nascent Soul." Pei Jingque examined the stone embryo with curiosity, poking and prodding it as she spoke slowly, "The so-called Innate Dao Body is merely the result of a single wisp of Innate Qi not dissipating at birth."

"A Primordial Spirit Stone Embryo, however, is formed entirely from condensed Innate Qi. You could call it an Innate Dao Embryo. It might take tens of millions of years for one to form, and each is a natural-born seed for Cultivation."

"Is that so?" A look of surprise crossed Zhu Ju’s face before he gently shook his head. "Even so, a growth period that could last for untold millennia is meaningless for people like us."

"That’s true." Pei Jingque nodded, returning to her senses. "Forget ten thousand years—even a thousand years is an incredibly long time."

"Activate!"

As she uttered the word, she flicked her finger. The surrounding Primordial Energy swarmed toward her, and the key began to radiate a faint Spiritual Light.

A moment later, the Spiritual Light converged, and a massive stone gate materialized before them.

"The entrance to the Secret Realm?"

Zhu Ju raised an eyebrow. "They actually went to the trouble of making a stone gate."

"In the Ancient Era, the Jade Void Sect possessed the legacy of Immortals. To them, a Secret Realm was like a Cave Mansion, so of course they wouldn’t be so casual about its entrance." Having been inside once before, Pei Jingque reached out and pushed the stone gate. "The Langya Secret Realm..."

"It’s said that the Jade Void Sect’s Thirty-Six Cave Heavens are not all in the same world, and that the Langya Secret Realm is not a single location. This place the Seeking Immortal Sect found is just a fragment of the true Langya Secret Realm."

GRRRR...

The heavy stone gate slowly swung open, revealing a barren wasteland behind it.
