Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1971 Altered Enviorment

Chapter 1971  Altered Enviorment

Knowing that the situation wasn't too troublesome to deal with, with his current strength, and could even be considered beneficial to the Star Shattering Sect if he was able to take proper advantage of the situation and use it to display the strength of the Star Shattering Sect. Truly elevating the image of the set that remained obscure and intangible without any real show of power to most major powers within the Northern Central Region, outside the few who had ended up personally interacting with the Star Shattering Sect over the past few years. Xuan Hao felt a sense of appreciation towards those neutral factions who might have unknowingly ended up lending him a hand.

Although those neutral factions should still be punished to some extent according to Elder Song, it could at the very least be lessened considering that the situation would end up becoming beneficial for the sect in the end.

Of course, Elder Song still clearly had no clue about any of his thoughts and was still looking towards him with a sense of worry he hadn't seen before on the face of the old man who always seemed to have some kind of solution to whatever problem the sect ended up running into. For once, he couldn't do much to solve the problem with schemes or other methods. The only real way for the Star Shattering Sect to get out of the current situation was through a proper display of strength.

In a way, this situation had also ended up igniting the old man's drive for strength, as it was clear that he would set aside more time for cultivation in the future to avoid this kind of situation where he could essentially only remain waiting for someone else to show up and help solve the problem that he had unknowingly ended up help create.

To Xuan Hao himself, this was a good thing, as Elder Song couldn't lack too far behind the elders of the sect now that he had become the vice sect leader and had essentially turned into the single person with the greatest power in the sect bar none. Even Feng Chen had nowhere near the same sway and power as Elder Song, let alone someone like Xuan Hao who rarely ever interacted with the elders of the sect.

Because of this, after seeing this fire being lit in the eyes of the old man, Xuan Hao decided to not linger around the ascension secret realm and soon enough left for the now rather chaotic Blue Sea Empire after giving Elder Song a few ideas on how to potentially handle the aftermath of what was to come. Although, he understood deep down that the old man would undoubtedly be able to find some other way that was far more effective to help elevate the reputation of the Star Shattering Sect after he helped calm the situation in the Blue Sea Empire.

The only worry that was left being the fact that someone might attempt to ambush the sect while he was gone and although there was no way it would work against the Shattered Star Peaks that had the direct protection of the chaotic qi formation, the same couldn't be said for the rest of the Star Shattering Sect's territory.

But… There was nothing to do about this situation, as the Star Shattering Sect didn't have anyone other than himself capable of handling a potential enemy at the Land Creation Realm–or that was at least what he would have said in the past, but now the sect had another ancestor figure.

The ancestor in question wasn't exactly human and was instead a certain demon beast that had been captured by him before ending up being appointed as an ancestor of the sect to help him complete the main sect quest from the system.

Still… After settling down on the Shattered Star Peaks along with the guidance from Meng Jie, the disciple of Huo Fen whom he had ended up encountering in the past during the beginning of his long, drawn-out journey from the Western Central Region all the way to the ancient alchemy sect ruins at the Eastern Central Region.

Under normal circumstances, it might have been difficult to command a Land Creation Realm demon beast that was no less intelligent if not more intelligent compared to a normal human, but after having spent who knows how long in isolation on its own, the Land Creation Realm demon beast had ended up being tamed by someone far weaker than itself with relative ease, as Meng Jie, this little disciple of Huo Fen could now be considered the master of this terrifying demon beast.

All that was to say, the sect was able to fully mobilize this powerful demon beast that had slowly grown to enjoy the treatment and environment of the Star Shattering Sect since it had settled inside a comfortable valley it claimed for itself.

So, even if he might have had to worry about leaving the Star Shattering Sect defenseless in the past, he could now leave the sect with far more ease compared to the past, as there were not many people in the Northern Central Region capable of taking on a Land Creation Realm demon beast.

Not to mention, even if there might be someone capable of taking down the demon beast ancestor of the sect, it should buy him more than enough time to rush back to the sect with his current comprehension of the Dao of Space essentially being capable of taking him anywhere within the Northern Central Region in fifteen minutes or less…

Arriving at the edge of the Blue Sea Empire's territory only a short time after leaving the ascension secret realm, Xuan Hao could not help narrowing his eyes somewhat as he gazed towards what should have been lush plains now turned into a snow covered wasteland not much different from the Frozen Wastelands, outside of the bits of green that still poked up through the thin layer of snow that had covered the once expansive sea of grass that served as the geological border between the territory of the old Sky Empire and the Blue Sea Empire.

If it was just this, it wouldn't have been enough to cause him to stop, as he already understood that most demonic cultivators were proficient in ice-related techniques and the sight before him might have been the result of a battle unknowingly affecting the surrounding environment.

But what he sensed from the snow covered grass plains in front of him was different, it wasn't the after effects caused by a powerful demon cultivator proficient in the Dao of Ice fighting, that much he could tell from a glance thanks to his own relatively high comprehension of not just the Dao of Ice, but also the Dao of Yin.

Instead, it would be more apt to describe the change in the environment as something that had been done deliberately through some kind of large-scale formation capable of permanently altering the terrain of a given area.

No… maybe it wasn't that some formation had been used to permanently alter the environment of the Blue Sea Empire's territory, but instead that the environment of the Blue Sea Empire had already been permanently altered in the past and had now just been forced back to its original state.

Although the implications behind this were massive, it wasn't that surprising to him, as he had already suspected that there was something off with the Northern Central Region or the entire northern region for that matter.

After all, though it was called the northern region of the continent, outside of the Frozen Wastelands, there wasn't anywhere cold or covered in snow. Instead, the environment of the northern region of the continent was similar to that of the eastern or western region of the continent that he had visited in the past, if not more comfortable.

Now, it seemed like the uninhabitable state of the Frozen Wastelands might have been the original state of the northern region of the continent before it had been forcibly changed in the past.

As for how such a large-scale alteration of the continent was even possible in the first place, Xuan Hao had no idea and only understood that whatever could accomplish something like that undoubtedly belonged to a realm above the Profound Immortal Realm. Even the Venerable Realm he had only heard about and had little to no information on seemed incapable of permanently altering the environment of such a large region.

Not only would it require a profound cultivation, but it would also require a terrifying comprehension of the Dao of Formations far above any formations he had encountered so far to forcibly create something capable of altering such a large section of the continent and keep it that way for tens of thousands of years without leaving any traces behind.

The only reason why he had even been able to sense that there was some kind of formation behind this alteration of the environment in the first place, was because the demonic cultivators had forcibly removed the influence of that formation within the now conquered Blue Sea Empire.
