“You’re here again.”

Star God shrugged and waved his hand, saying, “The true founding master of martial arts can only be you.”

“It was you in the past, it is you in the present, and in the future… it will still be you.”

“This is universally recognized. What does martial arts have to do with me?”

Saying this, Star God paused, then continued, “Just tell me, without you, would there be martial arts as it is today?”

Su Wen countered, “Without you, there wouldn’t be martial arts as it is now, would there?”

Star God raised an eyebrow and stated seriously, “Are you trying to debate this relationship with me? If you want to debate, let’s make a bet and add a wager; otherwise, just arguing with words here isn’t interesting.”

Su Wen: “……”

Debating with Star God? Isn’t that asking for trouble?

How foolish must he be to even think of debating with Star God?

To put it bluntly, even if he had the moral high ground in this matter, Star God could easily shift the advantage to his side with just a few words.

Even someone as straightforward as Fighting God knew not to engage in a debate with Star God.

Otherwise, if he got led astray by Star God’s words and entered his logical circle, it wouldn’t be long before he became ensnared in it.

“However, your martial arts talent can surely crush any opposition.”

Su Wen changed the subject and said with a grin, “With your addition, it might just break the Demigod bottleneck this time.”

Star God did not respond.

He found it very precarious; according to the future experiences of God of Wealth over the next five hundred years, the upper limit of martial arts still stalled at the Demigod level.

How could the martial arts cultivation system undergo such a tremendous change just because God of Wealth knew some trends about the future?

It’s not like God of Wealth brought back the martial arts achievements of five hundred years into the past.

Based on those martial arts achievements, they might break the Demigod bottleneck after developing for another five hundred years.

But for now, forget it!

“By the way, how’s the communication going on the river of time?”

Star God asked softly while watching the cheering crowd ahead.

“Same as before.”

Su Wen slightly shook his head and sighed, “They don’t care about the resources I refined from the sub-timelines, and even when I used threats and temptations, they only agreed to let me use the resources from the sub-timelines to buy things.”

“And as for the resources from the main Time and Space, they are very covetous!”

“Dark river has tried more than once to sign a no-interest loan agreement with me.”

“This means the resources I use here don’t need immediate payment; I can pay it all back in one go after I return to my identity in the main Time and Space.”

As he spoke, Su Wen paused, then added, “What’s even more outrageous is that dark river even said that if I agreed, he could reduce the price by ten times!”

“To be honest, I currently have an idea.”

“Is dark river trying to leverage my experience with future memories to connive a way to fleece money from me?”

“After all, I am currently the consciousness of the main Time and Space. If I agree, then the money I saved in the main Time and Space will probably be lost.”

“Don’t mention him reducing the price ten times; even if he reduced it one hundred times, that little resource wouldn’t cover our expenses for over four hundred years!”

After a moment of silence, the Star God suddenly asked, “So, would you sign this agreement?”

Upon hearing this, Su Wen fell silent as well.

Should he sign?

If he signed, it would mean he would use the resources from the main Time and Space to subsidize the sub-timelines.

This was contrary to his original intent and his initial decision.

But to be honest, he had considered it.

After all, this Time and Space is almost identical to the main Time and Space where he grew up.

The only difference is that he cannot cross time and space anymore.

Especially after living here for eighty years, he has developed deep feelings for this Time and Space.

Rationality tells him that the main Time and Space is everything!

But emotions can sometimes lead rational thoughts astray.

Eighty years, eighty years of time, for him… has become almost all of his life experiences.

If this continues, will he rely on the resources of the main Time and Space to overcome crises in the future?

He doesn’t dare to think about it, but he feels that if that day really comes, perhaps he would.

After all, his heart has feelings.

Though it’s called the sub-timelines, does everything here differ from the main Time and Space for him?

“Just kidding!”

The Star God laughed heartily and teased, “Look at you, you’re hesitating!”

“When this idea pops into your head in the future, don’t hesitate!”

“Perhaps from our perspective, there’s no difference between sub-timelines and main Time and Space.”

“But how can the sub-timelines be equated with the main Time and Space?”

“One is an extension, the other is the main vein!”

“If the extension is gone, as long as the main vein remains, then the extension still has a future!”

“But if the main vein dies, then… does the extension still have a future?”

Saying this, the Star God waved his hand in front of Su Wen.

“Though you’ve spent eighty years here, remember, you are merely a visitor in our world.”

“This place is not your roots.”

“So… God of Wealth, you need to be a bit heartless.”

“Don’t be too sentimental, or I will worry about whether you can continue on in the endless battlefields of Time and Space in the future.”

“After all, our experiences here may just be the beginning for you.”

Su Wen looked up at the ceiling of the laboratory as he heard this.

After a moment, he softly asked, “So, if in the future you’re in a life-threatening danger, and I could use the forces of Time and Space to save you, but I choose not to because it’s the rational decision, do you think I’m doing the right thing?”

The Star God didn’t hesitate. “You are.”

“Not even a little wrong?”

“Not at all.”

“Then, should I not feel even a hint of guilt?”

“No need. Among the sub-timelines, I’m just one of the many sub-timelines Star Gods who haven’t achieved much. There’s no reason to feel guilty for me, or for any of us.”

“……”

“God of Wealth, your path is a hard one. So no matter what decisions you make, even if they’re wrong, I’ll stand by you.”

“……”

“In the future, when you face tough choices, don’t doubt yourself, don’t hesitate. Be firm, do what you have to do. We’ll all understand.”

“……”

“We’re your comrades. Our existence should never weigh on your emotions or become a source of pressure for you.”

“……”

Su Wen’s gaze shifted to his right hand, raised in the air.

The Star God stood beside him, silent.

They stayed like that, quietly together, and the strange tension between them soon caught the attention of the celebrating crowd ahead.

Suddenly, the cheers stopped.

Though they didn’t know what was going on, it was clear that the God of Wealth and the Star God didn’t seem too happy.

So, ending the celebration and returning to their workstations to continue their research seemed like the smartest move.

After a long pause, Su Wen let out a quiet sigh.

“I get it now.”

“Truth is… I already knew all this. I just didn’t want to admit it to myself.”

“Ah well, I’m over a hundred years old. I can’t afford to be as carefree as a child anymore.”
