“So, essentially, you’re still the God of Wealth in the main Time and Space, right?”

After a moment of thought, the Star God asked uncertainly.

Su Wen was startled; had the Star God figured it out so easily?

“What do you mean?”

Nearby, Fighting God chimed in, confused, “Star God, why are you saying that?”

“I’m a bit lost here.”

“Didn’t the God of Wealth say we’re in the sub-timelines now?”

“Why are you saying the God of Wealth is fundamentally from the main Time and Space? What’s that supposed to mean?”

The Star God glanced at Su Wen and, seeing no objection, his eyes flickered with realization.

It seemed his hunch was right.

“It’s simple.

Since the God of Wealth said we’ve become part of the sub-timelines, logically, the God of Wealth should also be the sub-timeline’s God of Wealth.”

“But he also mentioned he returned with knowledge of future trends and events from five hundred years later.”

“At first glance, that seems fine.”

“But think about it—the God of Wealth can naturally cross time and space to reach the future.”

“This means that just before our time and space became a sub-timeline, we were still in the main Time and Space.”

“The God of Wealth, as the God of Wealth in the main Time and Space, has explored the sub-timelines multiple times, witnessing their tragic futures.”

“So even in the sub-timelines, the God of Wealth has some ability to foresee the future.”

“But based on what we know about the sub-timelines’ recent state, the last timeline hasn’t even reached five hundred years yet.”

“This suggests that the future the God of Wealth knows—five hundred years ahead—is the future of our own, continuously advancing sub-timeline.”

“But if that’s the case, the limitation preventing the sub-timeline’s God of Wealth from traveling to the future is broken.”

“It’s a contradiction!”

The Star God turned to Fighting God and asked, “Still not getting it?”

Fighting God shook his head, looking utterly baffled.

He seemed to grasp a bit of it, but it still didn’t fully click.

“What Star God means is that the God of Wealth we’re seeing now has just returned from the future of our time and space using time-travel methods,” the God of Theater explained.

“He knows the future of this time and space but has lost the ability to create more sub-timelines.”

“So he’s the sub-timeline’s God of Wealth, but he’s different from the others.”

“And the one who can go five hundred years into the future and understand our time and space’s future can only be the God of Wealth in the main Time and Space.”

“That’s why Star God says the God of Wealth’s essence is still that of the main Time and Space.”

“Got it now?”

Fighting God scratched his head and asked, “Are you guys talking about the relationship between sub-timelines and the main Time and Space?”

The God of Theater stayed silent.

He suddenly realized that Fighting God was much easier to talk to when he was in combat mode. No matter what you said, he’d get it right away. But in his normal state, Fighting God seemed a bit… slow.

“God of Wealth, are we on the right track here?” Star God turned his gaze and asked.

“Pretty much,” Su Wen nodded. “In the main Time and Space, I traveled five hundred years into the future. Then, in the God of Martial Arts’ office, I came across a memory crystal left by the ‘me’ from that future. So, technically, I’m now processing everything that’s happened over those five hundred years.”

Star God chuckled. “Are you saying our reactions right now are just part of some predetermined script?”

Su Wen shook his head. “I don’t know.”

He then explained his earlier actions, like throwing things around and even snatching snacks from Wind God. He also shared his theory about the river of time’s “compensation” behavior.

“Since you can communicate with the river of time, why don’t you go ask it yourself later?” Star God said with a serious nod. “Everyone, since we’ve confirmed we’re part of the sub-timelines now, we need to take on the responsibilities that come with it. For the main Time and Space, we have to find the most effective path to survival.”

Across the room, the God of Theater frowned slightly but didn’t argue.

“Wait, so we’re sub-timelines now?” Fighting God stood there, looking confused. Then it hit him. He turned to Su Wen and said, “Brother God of Wealth, does that mean you’re both the sub-timeline’s God of Wealth, our ally, and also the God of Wealth from the past in the main Time and Space? Is that it?”

Su Wen raised an eyebrow. How did Fighting God figure that out so quickly? That wasn’t like him. But he nodded anyway, confirming Fighting God’s guess.

Su Wen then shared everything he knew. No matter how strange things were, or what had gone wrong with the memory legacy, he was here now, able to control his actions based on his memories and even influence Star God and the others. He wasn’t going to waste this chance. If the river of time’s power could help him make changes here that might fix things in the past, that would be even better.

“So, you barely spent any time in the future, didn’t even get to learn about the development of martial arts, and just went straight to the God of Martial Arts’ office to accept the memory legacy?” Star God asked, his tone heavy. “If all you know is the general direction of the future, then this trip doesn’t seem all that meaningful.”

Su Wen sighed. “I know. In martial arts theories, all I’m aware of is that Wealth Shadow Zhao Tianhan founded Visceral Martial Arts, and a few names tied to him. I also know about his betrayal, Fighting God’s death, and the God of Theater’s personality change, but I don’t know the reasons behind any of it.”

“This time, I was a bit reckless,” Su Wen admitted softly. “I came to accept the memory legacy to learn more about these things. I didn’t expect it to turn into such an unusual experience where I could control myself.”

Star God smiled. “It’s fine. Knowing these things is still useful. And since you have some insight into the future, it’ll help us prepare better. At least we’re better off than the God of Wealth from our original timeline, who knew nothing, right?”

Su Wen fell silent, feeling a bit uneasy about Star God’s words. Comparing himself to his past self always left him feeling like the loser.

“Alright, everyone,” Star God shifted the topic, looking at Fighting God. “Fighting God, Li Wenze still hasn’t awakened, and that’s on you. When he gets back, give him a hard time, maybe even a few punches. Then, based on the legacy experience the God of Theater has, let’s see if we can drag the true God of Fate out of his little room. A God of Fate shouldn’t be so reclusive!”
