Creepy Pharmacist: All my patients are scary!
Chapter 699: Give Me a Bargaining Chip to Negotiate with You
This was indeed the best path for her.
But she didn’t want to take it.
So he wouldn’t let her!
The aura within those silver pupils surged wildly, and his voice gradually filled with indifference and killing intent.
"I’ve already been very restrained. I know about your bond with Her, which is why I haven’t killed you. But don’t be unreasonable."
Lynn extended a bloodied hand, staring at Him, and said, "I used to be very rational, but now I want to fight for it once. If you two really are twins, then let Her make this decision. Let Her choose for Herself."
Boom—
The violent aura instantly caused the entire void to collapse.
That shadowy figure suddenly turned its head. The suppressed rage in His silver pupils was replaced by fury. He thrust out His hand, and everything in the space, under the force of that savage power, along with the iron curtain, slammed heavily into Lynn.
Even with the protection of the undead curse, Lynn was still blasted by that domineering force, crashing onto the Bridge. Cracks, dense as spiderwebs, spread across his entire body.He was like a malevolent god who had slaughtered countless beings!
The figure descended the steps step by step, walking toward him. The light radiating around Him gradually shifted to a bloody hue with each step.
"You know She has no memories now. You know She isn’t whole yet. And you want Her to choose for Herself?!"
The murderous gaze seemed capable of suppressing the heavens themselves.
"You have no idea what we are. You don’t understand Her at all. Half of the Colossus’s Will is controlled by Her. We represent the future and progress of an entire civilization. Her consciousness carries the hopes of billions of souls who voluntarily merged into one countless years ago!"
"We won’t, and cannot, be swayed by personal will. The ancient tradition has given us the mission to find that Raven. No one can stand in our way!"
Boom—
He extended His hand and clenched it.
The space around Lynn, still under the undead curse, was instantly constricted and locked. The terrifying pressure was like countless Mount Tais crushing down on him. Even the curse crawling on his body let out sharp, ear-piercing shrieks like an evil ghost.
Now, He was an existence beyond the Root level.
Even if He wasn’t whole, even if He was already so weakened that He was barely ten-thousandth of the Colossus at its peak, He was still the one undefiled deity in this Hell!
His status also determined that, at this moment, no one in Hell could rival Him!
The intense pain was almost like his entire body was shattering, but Lynn still stared at Him defiantly, without the slightest retreat or surrender.
Everyone had their own convictions and persistence.
No one was right, and no one was wrong. The only difference was the stubborn obsession in their hearts at this moment.
"You won’t succeed."
Lynn glared at him, his cracks growing denser.
"Even if you revive Her... even if you were the complete Colossus that wasn’t dismembered... you will absolutely, absolutely never break out of this Hell! Because you haven’t seen... what’s outside this Hell!"
His mind kept flashing back to what he had glimpsed when infiltrating the Leviathan, in the high-dimensional domain, as his gaze brushed against the expanse that spanned the border of Hell...
The chaotic colors!
Because just one look—
Had nearly driven him mad.
That expanding, disorderly tearing was like the natural antithesis of all order and all life, severing the sky, isolating the world!
It was a chasm that even gods couldn’t cross, the fate of the fallen!
Even the Colossus, let alone an incomplete version, could never break through those colors, could never ascend to that higher sky!
Boom—
Just as the cracks spread to his eyes, a ferocious purple light, like surging blood, began to seep out bit by bit in the extreme collapse.
And that force, which had nearly crushed him, was slowly forced back by the flowing purple light.
The figure’s silver pupils shrank instantly.
"This is..."
Lynn stared at him, purple light surging through every crack on his body. On his forehead, a purple line gradually took shape, forming a Pupil-less Eye. But it was clearly noticeable that the dot within the line was slightly more distinct than before.
The iron curtain groaned as it was forced back. The invisible power dissipated. Even the undead curse and the desire curse on him began to fade within the purple halo.
He regained his human form.
And landed heavily on the Bridge.
Like a ripple spreading outward, in those eyes filled with mad obsession, countless lines of violet flower buds bloomed fiercely across the void beneath his feet.
"Because I’m terrified. Terrified that if Zuo Zuo, by any chance, doesn’t want to go back, I still need a way to take her away. Last time I clashed with another Root, I nearly died because of that disadvantage."
"So before I even set foot here, I began carving this magic circle into my own bones."
"I thought that if it really came to this, this magic circle could save me one more time, or at least give me a bargaining chip to negotiate with you."
Lynn stood up, gasping for breath.
He walked step by step toward Him.
And with each step he took, the purple magic circle under his feet spread one step further, its suffocating power reaching the heavens above.
"And I’ve also come to understand that we’re not actually talking about the same person. What I want to keep is my Zuo Zuo. What you want to take away is the Her who carries the Colossus’s Heart. There’s no irreconcilable conflict between us. In fact, I should thank you, because without this heart, I would have died long ago."
"But I believe you have a way. I can give you the Colossus’s Heart. Perhaps over time, this heart will generate a new consciousness, just like the other parts, because you are Flesh Ascendants. As long as the flesh remains, consciousness will eventually sprout again."
He panted heavily.
In the purple light surging through his body, he could clearly feel the connection to his physical body outside.
That body closed its eyes. All the injuries suffered in this space seemed to manifest on his external form. Under his control, his cracked hand trembled as it reached toward his own chest.
He thrust it in forcefully, and in the gushing blood, grasped the beating heart.
The silver pupils trembled as He stared intently at Lynn on the magic circle.
Lynn gasped, "And when that time comes, you can try to awaken that consciousness’s memories, let that consciousness become the twin you’re familiar with. But you have to give me Zuo Zuo. My blood and body are already saturated with the power of the Colossus’s Heart. Even without the heart, I can still serve as her temporary vessel."
