Creepy Pharmacist: All my patients are scary!
Chapter 688: Bitter Fight to the Death
No one knew exactly how much time had passed.
Two people madly harming each other, amidst the distortion and frenzy, wildly venting the rage brought by failure.
From the initial fury of wanting to tear the other apart, to the chaos of being completely controlled, blood and vines intertwined, constructing a terrifying scene like something out of hell.
Like a absurd and terrifying nightmare.
No one knew how long it took.
As the surging vines wildly tightened around his body, he could even faintly hear the crackling sound of his own bones shattering.
Then his consciousness crashed with a loud bang, plunging into pitch blackness.
Like an absurd and terrifying nightmare.
Dead in that great battle.
But just before his consciousness fully sank into darkness, he vaguely saw those emerald-like eyes, complexly opened amidst drooping willow-like branches....
That should be death, right?
Just like every death he had experienced before, cold and empty.
Or rather, death didn't actually feel like much at all. The cold and emptiness were just illusions created by his lingering consciousness.
Because he knew he wouldn't die.
He would never leave himself without an escape route. As always, he had left himself two chances for resurrection.
But this time, for some reason.
His resurrection didn't come as quickly as the previous times. Instead, it felt like waiting for a long time, as long as an entire century.
Until the continuous system prompts finally sounded in his ears.
[Ding! You have received a supplement of Flesh Plague power. Your Constitution stat has increased by 100 points. Your ability to control flesh and blood has improved!]
[Ding! You have received a supplement of Flesh Plague power. Your Constitution stat has increased by 150 points. Your ability to control flesh and blood has improved!]
Similar prompts kept ringing in his ears, followed by the sound of cracking bones and squirming flesh.
Agony!
Unimaginable agony!
It felt like his external body was being chewed by a giant spider, crushed bit by bit in its terrifying maw, then reassembled again.
This process seemed to last an eternity.
Only when the system prompts gradually ceased did the intense pain begin to fade. And just before his consciousness sank into nothingness again, he only remembered the last sound ringing in his ears.
[Ding! You have obtained a trace of divinity.]
[Ding! Your recovery level is 9%...]
...
"Brain! Stupid Brain!! Stop playing dead!! What's wrong with you?! Did you explode?!"
"Why are you lying naked in this ghostly place!! Wake up!!"
No one knew how long it had been. A burst of noisy, irritating screaming finally began to stir his hazy consciousness.
His eyelids slowly opened.
But just as they opened a crack, before he could even see what was happening, a heavy slap came flying over. It smacked directly against his head, twisting it in another direction.
(ヾノ꒪ཫ꒪)—
"Brain! Brain! Brain! Wake up!! Wake up!!"
Accompanied by shouting.
On an open space wrapped in thick blood mist, a little girl with black hair was frantically grabbing Lynn by the neck, sitting on the ground, slapping him over and over.
The consciousness that had just started to stir was soon slapped right back out.
Beside her, Big Tongue involuntarily swallowed a mouthful of saliva. Then, crookedly using the few words Sir Aiwen had taught him, he curled a sign with the words written on it:
"Boss Zuo Zuo, even though I don't like him either, beating him like this will probably kill him."
Zuo Zuo stared with wide eyes.
She stopped.
Beside her, a young man dressed in ancient medieval noble attire knelt on one knee, propping up Lynn's shoulder, and said thoughtfully:
"I just examined his body. Aside from the kidney area, nothing else seems seriously wrong. And it looks like he just used up that one resurrection chance given to him by the Matriarch. Before this, he must have died once. But strangely..."
The young man pondered, studying Lynn's body.
"His Constitution seems to have received a huge boost. Compared to before, now he..."
Then, under the wide-eyed gazes of Zuo Zuo and Big Tongue, the young man thoughtfully reached out his hand. With a flash of light, a butcher's knife suddenly appeared in his hand with a swoosh.
Zuo Zuo asked blankly, "Sir Aiwen, what are you doing?"
But before she could finish.
With a sound of *puchi*.
Zuo Zuo: "(ΩДΩ) Wahhh!!"
Blood splattered everywhere.
Lynn's hand was directly chopped off by Sir Aiwen with one swing. Blood spurted all over the place.
But a strange scene appeared. The spurting blood seemed to have a life of its own. It crawled and gurgled, then, like ants returning to their nest, it rapidly gathered toward Lynn's severed arm. The hand itself also began to squirm with cracking sounds, as if trying to reattach itself.
Zuo Zuo and Little Treasure were both stunned by the sight.
Sir Aiwen squinted.
Watching the severed arm slowly extend tendrils of blood-and-flesh vines, watching them probe toward the severed hand, then smoothly connect together. The wound on the wrist also began to heal at a visible speed.
But just halfway through healing, the wound suddenly seemed to remember something. A blood vessel extended out from within.
*Pei—*
It spat at Sir Aiwen.
Then it quickly retracted, and the arm healed rapidly.
Sir Aiwen: "..."
Zuo Zuo: "..."
