“Domain Lord Wantian, should we send people to investigate? Or perhaps just wipe them out? Alternatively, we could publicly announce that we have nothing to do with them,” one elder suggested.

“Publicly announce that we have nothing to do with them?” Domain Lord Wantian asked calmly. “Do you think anyone would believe it?”

Domain Lord Wantian was a middle-aged man of the Phantom God Clan, extraordinarily handsome. His bloodline ranked among the top, and his cultivation had reached the late stage of Mid Heavenly Venerable—a truly formidable level.

“Probably not…” the elder replied awkwardly, chuckling. Even he wouldn’t believe such a claim.

“Exactly. As for wiping them out, the cost would be considerable,” Domain Lord Wantian continued, waving his hand. “Instead, let’s do this: send people to negotiate. After stating their purpose to the guards, the envoy was led into the grand hall.

He simply chose not to expose it directly.

“I am an envoy from the Wantian God Domain. Domain Lord Wantian sent me here to discuss matters of cooperation,” the envoy said politely, without the slightest hint of arrogance.

This was the difference in strength. The Three Realms God Domain constantly projected an imposing confidence, leaving no room for condescension.

“What kind of cooperation?” Yi Tianyun narrowed his eyes. He had long expected Wantian God Domain to send someone. With matters having grown so large, they had been carrying the blame all this time.

Either they would seek cooperation—or turn hostile. Clearly, they had chosen the former.

“It’s quite simple,” the envoy replied with a smile. “Since there’s still time, we hope you will join our Wantian God Domain and participate in the God Domain War together. Later on, there will still be a chance to ascend to the Inner God Domain. Even if that fails, we will take care of you on the Inner God Domain side. You will definitely not be treated unfairly.”

As for how the token core would determine who was truly on the same side, that remained uncertain. Joining decades in advance only meant there was a chance. Whether they could ascend together was another matter entirely.

“Thank you for your invitation,” Yi Tianyun said with a smile, “but we do not intend to join any other faction.”

Join Wantian God Domain? That wasn’t his style. Moreover, there was no guarantee they would ascend together. If it were assured, cooperation might be worth considering—but the chance was far too slim.

The envoy’s smile stiffened. He quickly added, “We are Wantian God Domain. I know the Three Realms God Domain is strong, but in the God Domain War, what matters is overall strength! Our Wantian God Domain can provide excellent protection—”

“No need,” Yi Tianyun interrupted calmly. “We’ve already made our decision. We will not join any faction. However, if you wish to join us, you are more than welcome.”

“Are you really refusing to reconsider?” the envoy said, clearly displeased. “You should know that rumors are spreading everywhere, saying you’re connected to us and only surviving under our protection. If we publicly announce that we have nothing to do with you, the consequences should be obvious.”

The envoy was clearly unhappy. A mere first-grade God Domain dared to be so arrogant—truly ignorant of what was good for it.

“That’s fine. Announce whatever you like. I don’t mind at all,” Yi Tianyun said with a shrug, utterly unconcerned.

The envoy froze. He hadn’t expected Yi Tianyun to be so decisive and resolute—it genuinely startled him.

“Very well…” The envoy could only give up. With Yi Tianyun’s stance so firm, there was nothing more to say. He would have to return and report that the Three Realms God Domain had rejected the invitation and refused to join Wantian God Domain.

The envoy soon departed. Watching his retreating figure, Yi Tianyun smiled faintly.

“Recruitment, huh… If I can win this war myself, why would I join another faction?”

Yi Tianyun shook his head. These forces truly believed themselves invincible. Moreover, if he joined them, his title would become meaningless—and that was something he absolutely did not want.
