Chapter 1485: Chapter 18: Blitzkrieg (Part 1)_2

Fatty was overjoyed, his expression animated as he groaned, "I don’t believe it!"

Feeling the fiery object in his hand provocatively pulsing, Bonnie spat and let go. She knew in her heart that even a hundred of her wouldn’t be a match for this shameless Fatty.

Throwing a document onto Fatty, Bonnie coquettishly said, "Hurry up and look, Pipi just sent this intelligence."

Watching Bonnie’s slender, jade-white hand release, Fatty regretfully smacked his lips, opened the document, bowed his head to read, then looked at the time.

It was already 10 PM on July 3rd, less than eight hours until dawn.

Just as expected, Bellif’s main force launched a lightning attack on Sunset Mountain after capturing Frenso Town and gradually gained control of most of the areas west of Sunset Mountain through repeated tug-of-war battles, advancing the battle line directly to the foot of the mountain.

In front of Sunset Mountain, about six Western Alliance Armored Divisions were concentrated. In an area of less than three hundred square kilometers, the density of six armored divisions was indeed a bit extravagant.

Evidently, Bellif was determined to take Sunset Mountain. With the Judger in hand and having previously launched the Frenso Town offensive, he didn’t believe that the Fei Alliance Joint Army had enough courage or manpower to invest in Sunset Mountain to withstand his attack.

"We only have one day to complete the strategic encirclement." Bonnie opened the Mecha computer’s simulation program, transferred the data from the folder into the program, and horizontally drew a red line on the operational plan map with an electronic pen. This line went west from Frenso Town, then turned north, crossing the western part of the Sunset Mountain Basin into Seven-star Town and Xiushui River Town.

As the data from the folder was supplemented, intelligence in the area the red line passed through became more detailed. Enemy forces, battlefield situation, troop numbers, terrain, electronic defense and attack strength, SkyNet completeness, and so on were all clearly visible.

From a manpower perspective, the bandit army needed to cross six sectors, stationed with Suss 336, 95th Mechanical Infantry, 19th, 77th, 56th, 141st Armored Divisions, as well as Jiepeng’s Aviation Marine Corps 11th Mechanical Infantry, 155th Armored Division, Army’s 9th, and 210th Armored Divisions.

These maddening and confusing numbers stretched along the winding western defense line of Phoenix City, distributed over an area of nearly ten thousand square kilometers, interlocking like jagged teeth.

For over a month, the western line of Phoenix City’s conflict hadn’t ceased. These Western Alliance Forces had received substantial reinforcements in terms of troops and supplies recently, with the attack momentum quite lively and defenses well-established. Several counter-attacks by frontline units couldn’t inflict any significant damage on them. Annihilating or defeating them wasn’t an easy task.

If time was evenly distributed, it meant the bandit army had to defeat one division and cross its held territory every two hours. And this didn’t include the four Western Alliance Armored Divisions that had already appeared in front of the Second Armored Division.

They were Bellif’s follow-up forces to strengthen the Frenso Town offensive, advancing along the west bank of the Dorai River toward this side, with the vanguard already in contact with the Second Armored Division.

"Twenty-four hours, more than enough!" Fatty opened the Mecha cockpit, watching the troops rushing past him, his eyebrows suddenly twitched. On his honest-looking face, a hint of ferocity appeared.

To hell with you, don’t think Bellif is the only one who can launch a blitzkrieg.

The bandit army, standing atop the pinnacle of this era’s Army, would show everyone what a sweeping lightning offensive truly was!

I don’t have time to waste here with you!

"Order the troops to speed up, quickly!" Jemaine Forbes, Vice Admiral, paced back and forth in the spacious cabin of the Command Mecha with some anxiety.

This Jiepeng Vice Admiral was the commander of the second echelon’s four armored divisions in the Frenso Town campaign. Responsible for leading his troops to increase attack intensity in this direction after the first phase of the Frenso Town campaign ended.

Forbes didn’t like this task. Always hoping for another star on his shoulder, he preferred to go to Sunset Mountain, lead his troops to break through the Fei Alliance’s defenses, and achieve greater merit. Rather than undertaking a flank containment mission and receiving only scraps.

However, the Northern Cluster’s commander was the short and stout Suss Marshal Bellif. In the Sunset Mountain direction, Bellif’s most elite and loyal Suss’s troops were concentrated, and no matter how much Forbes tried, he couldn’t insert himself there. He could only settle for second best and accept the task of attacking the Frenso Town direction.

Due to the large gathering of troops, it was easy to startle the enemy. So, to maintain concealment before the attack, Forbes led the four armored divisions to stay two hundred kilometers behind the front line in the mountainous area, not participating in the sudden assault on Frenso Town by the first echelon.

Although far in the rear, Forbes wasn’t at all worried about the outcome of the Frenso Town battle. This battle had been simulated countless times in the simulation computer before it even began. Every possible battlefield change and every step of the operational plan was in Forbes’ mind.

Previous simulations all indicated that with the powerful offensive capabilities of three armored divisions in the first echelon and a hundred Judgers, defeating Chuckna’s 172nd Division guarding Frenso Town was essentially a sure thing.

In fact, even when he received the news that Frenso Town was captured and started leading his troops, the situation was exactly as he had anticipated.
