Chapter 1473: Chapter 14: Duel to the Death (Part 2)_3

The same Mecha, the same fierce fighting skills—these damned Devil Mecha were like demons in the jungle, clinging to him like a lingering ghost.

Wood didn’t choose to run, because this time, he was the one who rammed straight into the enemy’s encirclement. He didn’t even have a chance to shake them off. The only option was to fight to the death!

Boom! The downward chop of the ion light saber was dodged by the Devil Mecha that pulled out two Phantoms at the last split second. Before Wood could pull back his blade and change moves, he saw that Devil Mecha flicker like a specter to his right, its fist slamming toward his waist and abdomen.

"Die!" Wood bent his knees and kicked out, his Mecha blasting forward like a shell leaving the barrel, slamming into the Devil Mecha. His bent iron knee, carrying an unstoppable, ferocious momentum, drove straight toward the opponent’s face.

The violent impact he imagined never came.

The Devil Mecha turned fist into palm, its hand drifting down like a sheet of gauze, pressing against the Judger’s knee.

That feather-light touch at its absolute peak felt like a giant net catching a shell in mid-air. The Judger’s knee strike had just reached full power when it suddenly became a spent arrow. With that gentle press from the Devil Mecha, the Judger’s knee was forced down, and it almost staggered and fell to the ground.

In the blink of an eye, the Devil Mecha borrowed that force to spring up, snapping out a side kick that, in a flash, reached the Judger’s head.

"Boom!"

Only then did a deafening blast erupt.

The Devil Mecha’s side kick viciously lashed against the Judger’s raised arm that was guarding its head.

Fast—too fast. Zeng Xu and Hamshik, lying on the mountaintop, felt like even their breathing was about to stop.

That Devil Mecha brought them a shock that could hardly be put into words. Those Mecha Fighting moves were downright unbelievable. For thousands of years, Mecha—this kind of combat weapon made of engines and machinery—had relied on speed and power to crash and smash as the standard of combat. Now, with just that light tap and press from the Devil Mecha, that entire standard was completely overturned.

And Binart’s Judger was indeed worthy of its legendary name.

Under such a stunning assault from the Devil Mecha, it still managed to block that almost guaranteed Absolute Kill at the last moment. Its speed had already been pushed to the extreme.

The two Level 7 Mecha Warriors felt like their eyes were almost unable to keep up anymore. Only the long-range viewer they had activated was still faithfully recording this unexpected clash that had erupted out of nowhere, yet was destined to be written into the history of the bandit army and the Judger.

Maybe because they both knew how terrifying the other side was, by this point, warriors on both sides had already brought out everything they had. This was no longer an ordinary battle. When both sides’ Twelfth Generation Mecha, using different control modes, different techniques, and different formations, crashed together and fought for the Honor of their respective groups and for their own lives, this became a death match.

Both sides knew the other was their most formidable opponent, and both knew that when enemies meet on a narrow road, it ends only when one side is dead. So from the instant this battle erupted in the jungle, it had entered a white-hot stage.

The Judger, with no way out, threw out every move as a life-for-life exchange. Their speed had already been pushed to the limit; their Mecha actions had long surpassed the standard of seventy moves per second. Seen from the side, these Black Mecha, these steel Spartan Warriors crowded together, looked like a bull caught in the Wolf Pack’s encirclement.

However, the Judger’s ferocity didn’t scare off the Bandit Army mecha pilots.

Although in terms of Mecha movement frequency the Judger mecha pilots still held the upper hand, the Judger’s speed advantage was largely offset by the bandit army’s superiority in numbers and fighting skills.

More importantly, when the Bandit Army mecha pilots went all out with their lives on the line, they were even more ruthless than these Judger.

Dirt flew as one Judger sidestepped the attack from another Devil Mecha nearby, then viciously hacked its blade toward the opponent in front of it. That strike was as sharp as it could possibly be; once it landed, the outcome would be a clean slice into two halves.

Facing the Judger’s attack, the bandit pilot in front did not retreat. He knew that if he took just one step back, this Judger whose stride had just been forced to slow would speed up again. Meeting the opponent’s ion light saber head-on, he strode in bravely, his body turning slightly to avoid vital points, while the ion dagger in his hand thrust straight for the enemy’s heart.

Zeng Xu and Hamshik could barely stop themselves from closing their eyes.

But before they even shut them, the outcome was already decided.

The Devil Mecha that had its shoulder cleaved by a single blow saw its energy shield, in that instant, turn into a few butterflies that shifted from blue to red before finally dissipating. Its entire shoulder section was split open with a massive gash. The Mechanical Hand was almost completely severed.

Yet his ion dagger still struck the Judger’s chest.

The Judger twisted its body just as fast, avoiding having its chest run through. However, as two other Devil Mecha at his side coordinated their intersecting attacks with perfect timing, he still couldn’t escape the encirclement. At the instant his energy shield shattered, his body was sliced into two!

A pillar of flame shot into the sky, flaring in the jungle.

This was the first Judger to be killed.

Perhaps provoked by their comrade’s death, the remaining six Judger went berserk with their attacks.

The two sides tangled into a single knot, the shrill clash of metal on metal and the roar of engines making the battlefield even more bloody and brutal. One Black Mecha after another hurled themselves at each other in a death frenzy. Exploding balls of light, pillars of flame shooting skyward, ion blades flashing and dancing, shadows leaping and twisting—all of it fused into a blood-soaked, bewildering scene.

Boom! Another earth-shattering explosion. This was the second Judger to be destroyed.
