Corpse Recovery Diver
Chapter 1817 - 326:
Alii looked up and glanced over.
The water snake gave a shiver and, with a splash, swam away into the distance.
The two walked home, and when passing Xiao Hei, they saw it had already started snoring. Li Zhiyuan gently kicked it, and Xiao Hei staggered to its feet, yawning as it followed them home.
After seeing Alii back to the East Room, Li Zhiyuan went up to the second-floor terrace.
The young man's gaze was slightly focused as he looked through the isolating array to see the construction scene inside that seemed to be fast-forwarded.
Lin Shuyou and Run Sheng Tan Wenbin were out of sync, as if they had pressed the acceleration button twice.
Li Zhiyuan returned to his room, where Alii's painting was almost finished. In the painting, a young man stood in the treasury, with burning Zhao Lu Hai before him, while the distressed and despairing ancestors of the Zhao family lay below. The young man held a lamp, watching them calmly.
Three pieces of talisman armor lay spread on the ground, nearly complete, except the special paint on them hadn't dried yet and needed a bit more drying before they could be put away.
Li Zhiyuan held a plastic basin as he went to take a bath, then returned to his room and went to bed.
In the field behind the house.
"Enough, Ah You, enough, Ah You!"
Tan Wenbin called to stop the still laboring Lin Shuyou.
Lin Shuyou had been a bit absent-minded these past two days and, after being called to stop, looked dazedly at Tan Wenbin, instinctively saying:
"I can rush a bit more, and it'll be finished before dawn."
"Every layer's progress needs to be inspected by Brother Xiao Yuan. We're not just building a house that we can casually stay in," said Tan Wenbin as he pointed at Li Zhiyuan's room on the second floor, where the lights were now off.
Lin Shuyou: "But the timeline is already a day late."
Brother Xiao Yuan previously told him that the timeline could be compressed to two days, and today was already the third day.
Tan Wenbin: "Didn't your grandfather call you?"
Lin Shuyou: "Yes."
The heavily injured grandfather called Lin Shuyou to reassure his grandson, stating that while injured, he was not in mortal danger. Additionally, he had already represented their own temple and promised to agree to and combine the temple, and those mysterious people who suddenly appeared weren't making things difficult for them anymore.
Tan Wenbin: "As long as your family's temple is fine, tell me, why should we rush?"
Lin Shuyou: "But my grandfather and my master were..."
Tan Wenbin: "They've already been beaten, and that debt has been noted. It will definitely be settled. Moreover, your grandfather has already said that now those people aren't making things difficult for your family's temple.
So, since those people want to integrate the officials, then let them take the time to do it first.
Who wants a unified temple, who wants the life of a mountain king to be comfortable, and who wants someone to appear above them to control them?
Such thankless tasks, if those people don't do them, then we do them. Let them be the bad guys first and finish the preliminary work, and then we'll pick the fruit."
Lin Shuyou: "This way..."
Tan Wenbin: "This way, we're not going to integrate the officials; we're going to save the officials."
Lin Shuyou: "Brother Bin, I understand."
Tan Wenbin: "So, let's take a break, come on, let's eat a late-night snack!"
Lin Shuyou: "Hmm!"
Run Sheng rode the tricycle, and Tan Wenbin and Lin Shuyou climbed aboard.
They invited Brother Xiao Yuan, but Li Zhiyuan had no interest in going to the riverside to eat a late-night snack. The young man preferred to follow his own schedule, going to bed early and waking up early.
As the three approached the riverside, they saw the distant firelight.
The pot was set, the fire was lit, and cold dishes were arranged. Upon seeing guests arrive, the Big White Rat, wrapped up like a mouse granny, immediately started cooking the hot dishes.
In reality, it was the cook specifically prepared by the Bai Family's Lady for Xue Liangliang, but with Tan Wenbin there to enjoy it, the Bai family town naturally would not neglect them.
Today, it wasn't old yellow wine served; though the wine pot was ordinary, when the warmed wine was poured into the cup, it had a honey-like texture. A sip sent the fragrance from lips to throat and into the stomach, spreading layer by layer, pleasing the senses.
Lin Shuyou: "This wine is delicious!"
The result of the delicious wine was Lin Shuyou getting tipsy.
Early the next morning.
Aunt Liu: "Time for breakfast!"
Tan Wenbin and Lin Shuyou rose from their coffins as if resurrected.
Two wobbled over to the well, with Tan Wenbin fuzzy-eyed, squeezing the toothpaste and handing it to Lin Shuyou, discovering Ah You already brushing his teeth, mouth frothing with laundry detergent.
Tan Wenbin didn't bother to remind him.
After rinsing many times, Lin Shuyou drowsily said: "Brother Bin, today's toothpaste tastes really strange."
Tan Wenbin: "A new type of toothpaste."
After breakfast, Lin Shuyou made another call home, this time strongly requesting his master to answer.
Upon hearing his master's voice, Lin Shuyou felt the last stone in his heart settle.
After hanging up, Lin Shuyou sighed and said to Tan Wenbin: "Brother Bin, a temple was broken last night because it firmly refused the temple union."
Tan Wenbin nodded.
Lin Shuyou: "Next, there should be more temples facing attacks."
Tan Wenbin: "Ah You, you say, since these temples aren't willing to submit to them, would they be willing to submit to us?"
Lin Shuyou: "If we reveal our Dragon King's Court identity..."
"Cough, cough!" Tan Wenbin interrupted with a cough, "You should know, given Brother Xiao Yuan's temperament, revealing Dragon King's Court identity means what."
Lin Shuyou: "Hmm...then they certainly wouldn't submit to us either."
Tan Wenbin: "If I sent you to challenge those temples that don't submit to us, would you do it?"
Lin Shuyou was silent.
Tan Wenbin: "So..."
Lin Shuyou: "I would!"
Tan Wenbin raised his eyebrows in surprise.
Lin Shuyou: "I think allowing Yin God and Divination Child to sit equally, sharing merit, is the right thing. If a temple doesn't understand and still wants to follow the old rules...then I don't want to understand them anymore."
