[FROLO]

He looked different, was the first thing Katya noticed when the door opened. Sergei looked like something between a disaster and stability, not that the latter was taking much precedence right now.

"Solnyshka," Sergei breathed, making Katya let out a low whine.

Seven days.

It had been seven days since Sergei had called him that to his face.

"Stay back..." Sergei said suddenly when Katya moved to close the distance between them.

And the omega let out a chuckle.

"There’s nowhere to run, Vladimir," Katya said, moving closer, and Sergei scoffed at the omega.

For a moment he was confused.

Then...

Oh shit.

He’d expected Katya to lean into him a little slower, but this menace walking toward him with a smirk on his face and Sergei being self-conscious as fuck thanks to the environment...

This was his creation.

"Listen, lyubim... We... I’ve... Work," Sergei tried, hoping that Katya’s passion for work would save him from his determined omega.

"You do... I don’t," Katya said simply, and Sergei froze for a moment.

"What?"

And Katya rushed to him, pulling the alpha into a hug.

"I resigned," Katya whispered against Sergei’s ear, the sticky alpha still not sure what the fuck his omega was talking about.

"Solnyshka..."

"Won’t be working in Moskowsky anymore," Katya said before he pulled back from the hug, covered in Sergei’s sweat.

He should have been disgusted, yet Katya just stayed staring at his alpha, whose mind was slowly taking in what Katya had said while actively trying to be the reasonable one.

Because Sergei’s rut may have been over, but this omega in his long shirt and socks, with clearly nothing under the damn shirt, was testing his patience and ability to stay a noble man.

Fuck.

"Soln—"

"So, no conflict of interest, alpha," Katya said, kissing Sergei’s lips gently.

"You resigned, so you can have me?!" Sergei asked, clearly the only one with a functional brain after the rut.

Maybe Katya was compromised.

Maybe Katya needed to be out of this manor that had both their scents and a ridiculous amount of air freshener in the air.

"Yes... And no," Katya said, walking backwards to whatever was left of Sergei’s bed in the guestroom.

"The fuck is that supposed to mean? You can’t just throw your career away because of one—"

"Romanov Steel," Katya chuckled at a confused Sergei.

"I start in a week’s time... Told papa I need to make sure my alpha was doing alright," Katya added before he sat on the broken bed.

"I’ll be in the research department," Katya opened his legs.

He. Was. Dripping.

Sergei stilled.

"Won’t be the chairman, though," Katya leaned backward, giving Sergei a view of what he’d left a week ago.

And Sergei stepped forward.

Just one step.

Couldn’t be so bad, right?

It’s not like his already dilated pupils and Anya cursing them outside the door was going to work, right?

"Leadership was never my thing," Katya’s right hand moved to his crotch, touching his leaking hole while looking at Sergei.

The alpha wasn’t looking at Katya’s eyes.

His focus was on the small circles the omega was drawing on his rim.

"Anya didn’t want to approve at f— Ngh... Shit... At fir... St," Katya groaned, inserting two fingers past his rim while he supported himself on his left hand.

Sergei...

Made another step.

Forward.

"But she approved it eventually... Fuck..." his fingers stayed in as he stopped to catch a breath.

Sergei’s nose flared.

"Told her... Alpha said I... Said I could do what I loved the most... Oh, gods," he pushed a third finger in.

But it wasn’t enough.

Wouldn’t ever be enough.

Even as he pulled them out and back in rhythmically.

Even when he curled them inside... Still wasn’t enough.

Yet...

Another step from Sergei.

"A... Alpha said I was... fr... free to do what I wanted," he continued pumping his fingers past his rim.

His shirt had moved up, and his dick was swollen, angry, desperate for a release.

Wasn’t visible for the camera, though; Katya had made certain of it.

"Little wolf..." the alpha growled.

Somewhere outside...

"Turn that shit off and let’s pack up. Our work here is done," Anya sighed tiredly, and the Moskowsky team didn’t try to reason.

She was right.

If they didn’t leave, Sergei would kill most of them.

"Can... Can’t hide from the family business fore—" Katya groaned in frustration.

"Help me," Katya whined, and Sergei paused.

"Solnyshka..."

Katya pulled his finger out harshly, the squelching and popping sound a test of sanity for Sergei Moskowsky.

The omega was red. Ready. Resigned.

"Alpha..." he whined again.

"What if I don’t approve your resignation?" Sergei forced out, and Katya smirked at him knowingly.

"Is alpha scared I’ll find someone better at the family bus—"

He didn’t get to finish that sentence.

Because one moment Sergei was in front of him, and the next, the alpha was four fingers deep into Katya’s rim.

"VLADIMIR?!" Katya screeched breathlessly, but he didn’t even get to relax in it because the barbarian was already thrusting his fingers into Katya.

Harsh.

Fast.

"How you like that now, little wolf, hmm?" the unrelenting alpha grunted, his eyes on Katya, his hands fucking in and out of him.

And Katya...

Ever so breathless and trying to think straight, noticed how normal Sergei’s eyes were.

And maybe that was when he realized he was not getting out of this anytime soon.

"Maybe... Maybe a research partner... An alpha too," Katya said, locking his lips while Sergei constantly knocked the breath out of him.

"I’ll kill them," Sergei said coldly.

"Committing murders for your omega?... Crazy alpha," Katya teased, and Sergei lifted him off the bed with his free hand while the other stayed in Katya’s rim.

The alpha switched the positions so he was the one sitting on that broken furniture.

While Katya...

He was seated on the alpha’s lap.

’Finally,’ the omega breathed.

"You don’t know the half of it," Sergei groaned, pulling Katya’s shirt to the side with his free hand, while Katya just laughed softly at him.

More like tried to, because the moment Sergei’s mouth found Katya’s chest, teeth clamped on his nipple, hand on waist while the other deep in Katya, the omega knew he was doomed.

Yet he still was defiant.

Still stubborn even when his body was falling apart in Sergei’s hold.

"We’d find a new breakfast rout— owww you barbarian!"

Sergei pulled his nipple with his teeth harshly, before letting go while Katya glared at the man who was biting him into silence.

"You keep talking about some alpha lab partner, and I’ll hunt them all, Solnyshka. Don’t try me," the alpha warned as Katya clenched harder around him.

His omega was close.

"You need to be reaso— Al... Alpha..."

Sergei watched in awe as Katya fell apart in his hands, as his eyes rolled to the back of his head in pleasure.

His Katya was beautiful.

So very beautiful.

"Now you smell like me," he whispered, territorial, as he pulled his fingers from between them, sitting Katya on the dent in his pants gently because he knew the little thing was sore again.

"Alpha... treats... Treats me good," Katya laughed breathlessly as he rested his head on Sergei’s neck, postponing any attention he had on how sweetly he sat on Sergei.

"My little wolf deserves the best," Sergei chuckled.

"Even a knot?"

"Not today, though... You’re still a bad boy."

"I’ll be good, alpha."

"I know," Sergei said before he carried the omega out of the room, happy for the changes yet horrified for what his future looked like with an insanely beautiful omega who knew who he belonged to.
