Contract Marriage: Married to My Ex-Husband's Alpha Stepfather [BL]
Chapter 326: Lead Us Not Into Temptation…
[FROLO]
Sergei felt it before he could even put it into words.
"Impossible," he mumbled, pulling himself off of Katya like he was terrified of being the omega. Like he didn’t want to be responsible for hurting Katya even more.
But he was hazy. His head was spinning fast. He could hear his heart beating in his own head. And as he tumbled and fell to the floor, Sergei knew this was not good.
At all.
Katya sat up worriedly, but it didn’t take long before he clocked what was happening.
"Run, Solnyshka. RUN!!" Sergei growled, pushing himself to the farthest corner of the huge room. Putting as much distance between Katya and him.
It wasn’t supposed to be like this.
Fuck, he’d had it all under control.
For thirty years, he’d lived a fairly normal life. He knew the dates. And he took pills and went on murder sprees while pretending his spine wasn’t going to wreck him through it all.
And the past four years? He’d survived solely on Katya Romanov’s scent. And pills that Anya made sure to bring him because she didn’t want him to go feral over Katya’s scent.
It had worked.
So good.
So, well.
But now...
"Didn’t you hear me, omega?!" Sergei shouted, his first instinct screaming protection.
He couldn’t hurt Katya.
But he didn’t trust himself like this in the same room with him.
So, Sergei, in his desperation, pulled out his phone.
He couldn’t even see right. So, he pressed his phone’s power button thrice.
SOS. He had to send it.
It was the only way.
And moments later, his phone rang.
The alpha stayed clear-headed enough just to swipe the call to receiver mode. And when he did, he heard Anya on the other end.
His anchor.
His guide.
"Old Romanov manor... Come for him. I won’t last long, Anya... Please... don’t let me hurt him," Sergei said into the phone.
He was trying so hard.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Sergei asked when, instead of being out the door, he walked to where Sergei was.
And like someone who really loved playing with danger, Katya pulled the phone from Sergei’s ear.
"Don’t come. I’ll handle it," Katya said, his determination scary.
"Romanov, you’re in danger. You need to get out of there, now," Anya warned, as if that was supposed to make Katya sensible.
But maybe Anya was right.
Thirty years of discipline had been undone.
Anya hadn’t even asked how it happened. Or even what was going on.
Sergei had lied to her that he was getting into bed. So of course, she knew what had happened. Or she suspected what could have happened.
Because where Katya Romanov existed, the chances of Sergei Moskowsky being triggered were always higher than the odds of Katya using an umbrella in the rain.
"No. I’m not leaving," Katya said intently, staring at Sergei, who was fighting so hard to hold back.
The buttons on his shirt had already started popping from too much pulling. The cufflinks had long fallen somewhere on the old Romanov manor floor. It was like a premise for the greatest disaster.
The rainforest scent had started filling the room in huge bouts, and if Katya wasn’t careful, he’d get hurt.
Anya was right.
"You triggered him, Romanov. Run while you still have the chance," Anya reasoned, and Katya refused.
"I’m not leaving him alone. You know where we are. I don’t care if you bring a whole community. I’m not leaving his side," Katya said, hanging up.
And Sergei...
Still scared of hurting Katya.
Still worried that this wouldn’t end well.
Still horrified by the triggers, just stood in the corner, head between his hands, rubbing his temple like he was summoning his common sense.
But there was nothing.
Only a dangerous need.
One that he was fighting so hard not to snap into.
Because Sergei knew himself. Better than anyone ever could.
And he knew Katya needed to run.
So, when the omega didn’t make a move.
When the omega didn’t try to leave, Sergei staggered to the door in the room, ignoring Katya’s hand on his arm. Ignoring the sweet burning sensation of the omega’s hand on him.
He had to focus.
It was the only way.
When he got to the door, he was tempted to break it and let Katya be free. Because his Solnyshka deserved better.
He didn’t care that Katya was still holding onto him, saying things that Sergei couldn’t exactly hear over the citrus scent from Katya to even Katya’s slick that was driving Sergei nuts right now.
The alpha let his pinky claw out and inserted it into the lock, forcing the door open.
"Go," he strained out, as if his instincts didn’t demand something else.
"No," the omega stayed defiant.
"That’s not a request, little wolf," Sergei gritted, his eyes turning golden in one eye and red in the other.
Sergei Moskowsky was an alpha.
One whose grief had forced him to pretend he was never a rutting alpha.
One whose sorrow had driven him so mad that he chose to pretend that he didn’t function like a normal alpha. That he didn’t have the desire to claim and take what he needed. He’d been a good father for years.
And he’d hidden behind the banner of fatherhood through it all.
Even when his heart had chosen another.
Even when he finally found a real purpose.
He still used fatherhood as an excuse to suppress himself. To contain himself.
Because...
What if Yaroslav needed him and he wasn’t there, right?
What if he were so stuck in his rut that his enemies tried to hurt his son? His only reminder of Vitya. The only piece of his greatest love once upon a time.
And it had worked.
For thirty years.
And then a beautiful blond-haired boy looked at him like he wasn’t a monster, despite knowing that he really was a monster.
A sweet little omega looked at him and saw what only his son had ever seen and, worse, saw more, like Vitya only ever had.
And then his little omega cried about neglect, about being unworthy, about being looked at differently.
And Sergei...
He had only wanted to live in the moment with him. To remind Katya that he was a good omega. That he was worthy of being loved. That looking at Sergei differently didn’t make him weak or pathetic.
But then he hadn’t seen a mark on that smooth neck in his attempt to soothe things and fix his omega. And hovering over the omega like that made him breathe directly from the source.
Pure unfiltered citrus.
It would have been okay. Normal. Perhaps.
If Sergei hadn’t smelled raw desire.
If he hadn’t looked down and smelled that citrus slick.
Now he was fighting for his desire while trying to maintain his omega’s dignity. Yet the omega in question looked at him like he wasn’t about to go anywhere.
"Your eyes are beautiful," Katya said, and Sergei tried.
To keep the door open.
To let Katya leave.
But Katya cupped his face in those little hands, tracing Sergei’s eyebrows like suddenly the alpha was a piece of art.
"I’m not good for you, Solnyshka," he tried.
"I’ll hurt you," he insisted.
"It’s been thirty years," he reasoned.
"Then take what you need, Vladimir," Katya said, kissing his cheek.
"However you want it." Katya unbuttoned Sergei’s shirt.
"I’m not a good person, Katya," Sergei still tried.
"I prepped myself for you tonight," Katya mumbled, kissing Sergei’s bare chest as he forced the shirt off the alpha.
"I’m too dangerous," Sergei mumbled, his words slowly leaving him when Katya’s hands reached his waistband.
"Don’t hold back, Vladimir," the omega said as he went on his knees before the alpha, unzipping the suit pants, while his eyes looked up at the alpha, whose eyes were slowly turning gold, even the red one.
"Run, Solnyshka," he begged when Katya pulled the suit pants down.
"I’m already at my stop, Vladimir," Katya said, his hands lingering on the huge tent in front of Sergei. And Sergei’s hands went to Katya’s messy bun, gripping softly, like he was terrified of hurting Katya.
Meanwhile Katya...
His focus was elsewhere.
Gods, this man was endowed.
Will it fit? Katya dared to think as he licked his lips, hungry for something that would probably break him.
"I don’t want you to regret this tomorrow," Sergei breathed softly.
"And I didn’t steal your clothes because I ran out of clothes," Katya said, resting his chin on the tent.
"Such a bratty mouth," Sergei chuckled darkly.
"Then shut me up and teach me my worth, alpha," Katya dared.
And Sergei...
Formerly composed, forgotten restraint, always hungry for Katya Romanov, rutting Sergei...
"No more running, little wolf," the alpha growled.
And of course...
The little brat giggled again.
