Chapter 1122: Age Of Forty-three [Magic Castle Bonus Chapter]

Asher walked out of Azaron’s study room, his footsteps calm as he seemed lost in thought. Before he could walk too far, a butler sighted him and immediately bowed in respect. Asher walked past the man as a smile appeared on his face. He had enjoyed his discussion with Azaron and the fact that the man had shown him something new.

For the past eight months, he had been talking to himself and no one else. A normal person might have gone mad, but thanks to his strengthened will, he was able to last that long.

’I wonder how Lyra is doing,’ he thought as he walked, as he was sure she had made preparations five months ago only to be kept waiting.

’I wonder if she is within the Training Facility or if she is on a mission,’ he thought. Although, he guessed that Lyra would be training and not be on a mission, as he could somehow guess her reasoning behind it.

She was probably considering things like him coming out of training while she was out on a mission, and might have only taken missions for the first three months. After that, she probably stayed indoors training.

As a maid bowed in his direction, Asher stopped as he instructed, "When next you see my personal maid, Lyra, inform her of my return."

The maid bowed yet again as she spoke, "As the Tenth Sun orders."

Asher nodded and continued walking. His earlier plan was to head straight to the Frontier after he exited his training, but after training for so long, he needed to have a long nap. Getting to his room, Asher collapsed upon the bed as the mental exhaustion that he seemed to be suppressing rose and consumed him.

The moment his body touched that bed, sleep claimed him. Hours passed as Asher didn’t move, and for the first time in a long while, Asher slept for more than three or four hours. At this moment, he slept for eleven hours without blinking even once.

His eyes finally fluttered open. As they opened, he sat up and yawned widely, as he hadn’t even known when he had dozed off. Without delaying, he got off the bed and hit the bathroom. He hadn’t bathed in eight months and two weeks. Although Astra Energy replaced the necessity of bathing, Asher loved the feeling of water running down his body and the likes.

Stepping out, he changed into a new set of clothes, then waved his hand and began to eat. It was already 6 a.m. the next day, and since he had nowhere to rush to, he decided to wait for Lyra’s return.

As he ate, he took out his phone, his eyes landing on messages from months ago till the present. Even as he wasn’t replying, William and the rest didn’t seem to care. They continued texting him every week as though leaving the messages for him to reply to at his own time.

Asher’s fingers danced upon his phone screen as he started replying to every message one after the other. He was sure that everyone would be training by this time of the day, as everyone usually trained or cultivated before class. So their replies wouldn’t be coming immediately.

His eyes shifted towards Arianna’s message.

{World Girl: Been texting for two months now, the messages keep showing sent but you aren’t replying, seems you’ve entered seclusion}

{World Girl: Entering my seclusion today, if you reply by the time you are out and I’m out too at the time, I will call you for a spar}

{World Girl: See you in a couple months}

Reading her messages, Asher’s fingers danced through the screen as he replied.

{You: Sighs... no need for the spar, I’m sure you will win. Throughout my training time, I was only able to break through one single sub-Life Rank. It seems I’m not as talented as everyone thinks}

He waited for a reply to see if Arianna was out of her own seclusion, but no reply came immediately. He shook his head as he shifted his attention to eat. The moment he was done, he waved his hand and decided to game until Lyra returned.

Turning on the television and gaming console, he played with a few people online. As the hours flew by, and it became noon, a knock echoed through the room.

"Come in," Asher spoke with a smile as he had sensed Lyra approaching a few meters away.

The door opened, and Lyra stepped in to see Asher gaming. Asher turned off his game as he spoke.

"It’s been a while yet again, Lyra," he stated as a smile remained on his face.

Lyra bowed as she spoke, "I congratulate the Young Master on his progress during the training." Her tone was respectful and gentle.

Asher arched an eyebrow as he asked, "When did I ever say or insinuate I made any form of progress?"

Lyra rose as she spoke with a small smile, "The Young Master doesn’t need to say anything. With the Young Master’s talent, I’m sure he made immense progress," she replied as though certain.

And indeed, she was. Given her own understanding of her Young Master’s talent, she believed her Young Master had made immense progress that kept him longer than needed.

A smile remained on her lips as she too had made progress, happy that she was matching her Young Master’s outrageous speed for a bit.

Asher said nothing as he simply stared at her. After a moment of thought, he shook his head as he spoke.

"Aside from that, I wanted to apologize for giving you the wrong timeline." His tone was calm. "I had thought I would be able to complete what I needed within the next three months. I didn’t know I was going to spend another five months there," he apologized, his tone apologetic.

Although Lyra was just a maid, and many Nobles might not apologize, Asher knew he should apologize, as the wrong timeline would affect her own training. She would have no choice but to exit training on a daily basis just to check if he was back.

That alone breaks concentration.

"No need to apologize, Young Master," Lyra stated, her small smile not leaving. "Personally, I’m glad you stayed even longer," she added.

"You’re glad?" Asher asked, a bit confused.

Lyra didn’t answer. Instead, her presence rose as the presence that seemed akin to that of a higher entity pressed down upon the room. Asher immediately shot to his feet as he couldn’t believe what he was seeing at this moment.

Lyra, his maid, had stepped into the Crownstar Life Rank. She had achieved it after eight months of constant cultivation, and at the age of forty-three. The achievement was a testament to both her efforts and the immense benefits of the training facility.
