Chapter 364: Chapter 220: Jiang Silu Calls ’Dad’ for the First Time, a Relationship Breakthrough

Lu Yao ran over, her voice choked with tears. "Silu, are you okay?"

Song Miaomiao also rushed over and draped her jacket over her.

Liu Shiting handed her a bottle of water so she could rinse her mouth.

Jiang Silu coughed for a long time before she could finally catch her breath.

She looked up and saw Lu Fan squatting in front of her, soaked to the bone. His hair was plastered to his forehead, and water dripped down his face.

He looked terrible, his lips pale, but his eyes were fixed on her, unblinking.

Suddenly, she couldn’t hold it in anymore, and tears welled up again.

She threw herself into his arms, hugging him tightly and crying out, "Dad! Waaaah... I was so scared! I thought I’d never see you again."

Lu Fan froze completely.

’What did she just call him?’

’Dad?’

Although he’d vaguely heard Jiang Silu calling for him back in the water, he had been so desperate to save her that he hadn’t really registered it.

Now, Jiang Silu’s hands were clutching his shirt, her face buried in his chest, and her whole body was still trembling.

Her voice was hoarse and trembling, choked with sobs, but the single word she cried—"Dad"—was crystal clear.

Lu Fan’s eyes immediately reddened.

He reached out, wrapped his arm around her, and gently patted her back. "It’s okay, you’re safe now. Dad’s here," he said guiltily. "I’m sorry. Dad just went to the yacht to get some food. I didn’t get here right away. I’m so sorry."

Jiang Silu hugged him, crying too hard to speak.

Seawater and tears mingled, soaking the front of his shirt.

Lu Fan just let her hold him, not letting go.

Standing nearby, Lu Yao also started to cry.

Song Miaomiao covered her mouth, her eyes red.

Liu Shiting also turned her face away, secretly wiping the corner of her eye.

Jiang Silu cried for a good while before slowly stopping.

She looked up from Lu Fan’s embrace, her eyes and the tip of her nose red, looking like a little rabbit.

"You... You scared me to death just now," she said between sobs.

Looking at her like that, Lu Fan felt a mix of heartache and amusement. He reached out to wipe the water from her face. "You’re the one who scared me to death. Why did you walk so far out by yourself?"

Jiang Silu lowered her head and said in a small voice, "I wanted to look at the little pebbles over there, but then my foot slipped..."

Lu Fan sighed. He didn’t say anything more, just gently patted her on the head.

After this little incident, Lu Fan had everyone return to the yacht to rest.

The girls changed into dry clothes and were now on deck, eating fruit, drinking beverages, and chattering away.

Jiang Silu sat by the gunwale, gazing at the distant sea, still clutching the seashell she had picked up on the beach.

Lu Fan walked over and sat down beside her.

"Still holding onto that?" he asked with a smile.

Jiang Silu blushed and handed him the seashell. "I want to give this to you."

Lu Fan chuckled. "Alright, thank you."

They sat in silence for a moment as the cool sea breeze blew past them.

Jiang Silu suddenly spoke, her voice very soft. "Dad, were you crying just now?"

Lu Fan paused for a second, then smiled. "No, that was just seawater."

Jiang Silu smiled too, not calling him out on it.

After a moment, she added, "From now on... I’m going to call you that."

Lu Fan looked at her, gratified. "Okay."

Jiang Silu lowered her head, blushing shyly.

That evening, the yacht returned to the marina.

Chen He was responsible for driving them back to their dorm.

After everything was settled, Jiang Silu lay in bed and pulled out her phone. She saw a message from Lu Fan.

Lu Fan: [You must have been terrified today. Go get some rest, and don’t rush to work on your drawings tomorrow.]

Jiang Silu looked at the message, deeply touched.

Jiang Silu: [Okay. Good night, Dad.]

After sending it, she stared at the screen, waiting for a few seconds.

Lu Fan: [Good night, Lulu.]

Seeing the name "Lulu," Jiang Silu’s eyes reddened again.

She placed her phone by her pillow and closed her eyes.

’Turns out, calling him "Dad" isn’t so hard after all,’ she thought.

On the contrary, she felt incredibly happy. He had been the first to rush out and protect her in her moment of greatest danger.

As for Lu Fan,

he was just as happy.

After so long, Jiang Silu had finally called him Dad.

He sent a message to Jiang Yixia: [Silu called me Dad.]
