Chapter 346: Chapter 215: Jiang Silu Cries in Front of Lu Fan for the First Time, Asking About His Progress with Her Mother
They left the amusement park and got on a bus.
The bus rumbled along, and the streetlights outside the window swept past one after another.
The bus wasn’t crowded. A few passengers were scattered about, all with their heads bowed, looking at their phones.
Wen Wan sat in a window seat, and Jiang Sifan sat next to her.
They held hands, and neither of them spoke.
Her hand was still in his, her palm already sweaty, but she couldn’t bear to pull it away.
She looked down at their clasped hands, blushing shyly.
Holding her hand, feeling the warmth of her palm and the fine beads of sweat, Jiang Sifan’s heart began to pound.
But, ever the gentleman, he was the one who eventually let go.
’After all, we haven’t even defined our relationship. Holding her hand like this... what’s the difference between me and a scumbag?’
Wen Wan, for her part, was even more impressed by the fact that he was the one to let go.
She had always found the class president to be very reliable and gentlemanly.
After the bus had been moving for a while, Wen Wan let out a soft yawn.
Jiang Sifan turned to look at her and asked softly, "Sleepy?"
Wen Wan shook her head, her face flushing as she said, "N-No..."
But she yawned again as soon as the words were out of her mouth.
Jiang Sifan couldn’t help but chuckle. "If you’re sleepy, go ahead and get some rest. I’ll wake you up when we get to our stop."
"O-Okay, then," Wen Wan said, nodding after a moment’s hesitation.
She leaned back against her seat and closed her eyes.
The bus drove on slowly, the lights outside the window flickering from bright to dim.
Wen Wan’s breathing grew steady, but her head began to nod, dipping lower and lower.
After a few dips, she drowsily listed to the side, her head finally coming to a gentle rest on Jiang Sifan’s shoulder.
Jiang Sifan’s body stiffened.
He could feel her head on his shoulder, so light and soft.
Her hair brushed against his neck, tickling him and carrying a faint, sweet scent.
It wasn’t perfume, just the clean, fresh scent of shampoo.
He glanced down.
Wen Wan was asleep.
Her long eyelashes cast a small shadow beneath her eyes.
Her breathing was light and even, her chest rising and falling gently.
Her lips were gently pressed together, the corners turned up in a faint smile, as if she were having a pleasant dream.
She looked so peaceful as she slept, like a child.
Looking at her sleeping face, Jiang Sifan felt an indescribable softness well up inside him.
He just watched her, not daring to move, terrified of waking her.
The bus rounded a corner, and Wen Wan’s body swayed, her head nuzzling against his shoulder.
Her face turned, and the tip of her nose was almost touching his neck.
Her warm breath ghosted across his neck, ticklish and electric.
Jiang Sifan’s breath hitched.
He looked down, his gaze falling on her face.
’She’s so beautiful when she sleeps.’
Her long eyelashes were like a pair of tiny fans, trembling slightly every now and then.
Her fair skin seemed to glow faintly in the dim light of the bus.
Her lips were parted just slightly, revealing a hint of her pearly white teeth. Her pink lips looked incredibly soft.
His gaze drifted down, almost against his will.
She was wearing that long-sleeved white shirt. The neckline wasn’t low, but because of the way she was leaning, it had gaped open slightly.
From his angle, he could just make out a sliver of fair skin and the faint, delicate line of her collarbone.
And just below that, the gentle curve of her chest.
It rose and fell gently with her breathing, creating a soft hint of cleavage.
The curve was subtly alluring, yet it somehow perfectly complemented her innocent aura.
Jiang Sifan’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed hard.
He quickly averted his gaze, not daring to look anymore.
But the images were seared into his mind.
Her breath on his neck, so warm, puffing gently against his skin, felt like the brush of a feather.
The faint scent from her body drifted into his nostrils, mingling with her body heat to tease his senses.
Her soft body was pressed against his, and he could feel her warmth through their clothes—so soft, so warm.
Jiang Sifan took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.
’Calm down, calm down. She’s not your girlfriend. You can’t think like this.’
But the more he tried, the more flustered he became.
He glanced down at her again.
She was sleeping so soundly, a smile still playing on her lips.
’So beautiful.’
Jiang Sifan was suddenly overcome with the urge to reach out and touch her face, to feel if her skin was as smooth as it looked.
But he held back.
He just watched her, his heart melting into a puddle.
After the bus drove on for a little longer, Wen Wan shifted drowsily and mumbled softly, "Class President..."
Jiang Sifan froze, thinking she had woken up.
But when he looked down, he saw she was still asleep. Her brow furrowed for a moment before smoothing out again, and the corners of her lips curled up even more.
’She’s talking in her sleep.’
Jiang Sifan couldn’t help but smile, a warm feeling spreading through his chest.
The bus continued on its way, streetlights flashing past the window one after another.
Jiang Sifan let her continue to lean on him, remaining perfectly still.
When they reached the school gate, Jiang Sifan gently woke Wen Wan.
Wen Wan opened her eyes blearily. When she realized she was leaning on his shoulder, her face instantly turned beet red. She shot upright, apologizing bashfully, "I-I’m sorry, Class President..."
Jiang Sifan smiled and shook his head. "It’s nothing. We’re here. Let’s get off the bus."
They got off the bus and stood at the school gate.
Just then, the evening wind blew past.
It was cool, carrying a hint of a chill.
He walked Wen Wan to the entrance of the girls’ dormitory. Wen Wan looked at the ground, saying shyly, "Well, Class President, I’m going to head in..."
