Chapter 752: Intercept and Kill

Shen Haoran’s idea and goal were simple: to unite the Fox Race, the Vermilion Bird Race, the Cyan Dragon Race, the Black Tortoise Race, and the Medicine Hall into an inseparable alliance bound by mutual interests. This way, if the Fox Race ever faced hardship, the other four major influences would absolutely not stand idly by. Moreover, with the help of these four powers, the Fox Race’s future development could avoid a great deal of unnecessary trouble.

With this in mind, Shen Haoran began traveling relentlessly between these four major influences to negotiate with their Patriarchs. Thanks to his efforts, the four powers finally reached an agreement with the Fox Race.

In truth, these four major influences were no fools. The strength and Talent Shen Haoran and Lady Ya had displayed proved that their futures were limitless. Once they fully matured, they would undoubtedly become overlords in their own right. It was far better to offer timely assistance now than to simply add icing on the cake later. Cooperating with the Fox Race definitely had more pros than cons.

Two days later, Shen Haoran had arranged all of the Fox Race’s affairs. Early that morning, he and Xue Ling packed their belongings, ready to leave the Demon Race and head for the Human Race.

“Here are a few Brocade Bags. If you encounter anything you can’t resolve, open them. Take care!” Shen Haoran said in a solemn voice, pressing the bags into Lady Ya’s hand.

Gazing at the Brocade Bags, which still held the lingering warmth from Shen Haoran’s hand, Lady Ya nodded. She carefully put them away and said, a little reluctantly, “You two take care as well!”

In the end, Shen Haoran left without alerting anyone else in Central City, aside from Lady Ya.

Within the pitch-black Spatial Passage, Shen Haoran stood aboard the Flying Shuttle, staring blankly at the surrounding Chaos Space. Xue Ling watched his somewhat lonely figure from behind and couldn’t help but sigh. She walked up to him and said, “What’s wrong? Can’t bear to leave?”

“A little. We’ve been together for over a year, after all. Now that I’m going back, who knows when I’ll be able to return,” Shen Haoran said, shaking his head with a smile.

“But I had to leave eventually. The debt with Fallen Valley has been owed for too long. It’s time to collect,” Shen Haoran said. At this, a vicious glint flashed in his eyes, and a chilling killing intent erupted from his body, causing the surrounding Chaos Space to twist and distort.

Xue Ling remained silent. She was well aware of what Fallen Valley had done to Shen Haoran. Although she acted aloof and kept him at arm’s length, she cared for him deeply. She was no less concerned about his affairs than Lady Ya and the others; she just wasn’t good at expressing it.

“What’s your plan? Fallen Valley’s strength isn’t as fragile as the White Tiger Race’s. They’re one of the overlords of the Northern Domain. And this time, you won’t have Lady Ya’s help. Do you have a plan?” Xue Ling asked softly.

“A plan? I do have a plan,” Shen Haoran replied faintly, a devilish smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. The sight made Xue Ling’s brows furrow.

“Who’s there?” But just as Xue Ling was about to ask for details, she suddenly sensed several auras rapidly approaching. She let out a cold snort, her gaze fixed on a certain point in the space.

A moment later, the Chaos Space trembled, and several Flying Shuttles slowly materialized. Dozens of Martial Artists rushed out from them, instantly surrounding Shen Haoran and Xue Ling.

“People from Fallen Valley,” Shen Haoran murmured expressionlessly, his eyes narrowing at the dark skull emblem on the Flying Shuttles.

“Haha, Shen Haoran, we’ve finally found you!” An old man’s laugh echoed through the Chaos Space. An elder then slowly walked out from the group of Fallen Valley Martial Artists, his expression cold and sinister as he stared at Shen Haoran.

Looking at the elder before him, Shen Haoran’s expression didn’t change in the slightest, but killing intent flashed in his eyes. ‘Everyone from Fallen Valley deserves to die!’

“Let me introduce myself. I am Ning Qi, a newly promoted Elder of Fallen Valley! It’s all thanks to you, killing all four of our valley’s former Elders, that I had the chance to obtain this position! However, it’s also because of you that I’ve been stuck in this dark and lonely Chaos Space for a full year. You’ve really been hard to find!” the elder said faintly, looking at Shen Haoran.

“Is that so? It seems Fallen Valley is quite concerned about me. Should I be thanking you properly?” Shen Haoran sneered, his face filled with ridicule.

“Shen Haoran, I have to say, you’re incredibly hard to kill. To survive being swept into a spatial storm… It’s no wonder the Valley Master is so concerned about you. Anyone who poses a threat to my Fallen Valley must die!” Ning Qi said coldly.

“Just with a few lackeys like you?” Hearing Ning Qi’s words, Shen Haoran gave the Fallen Valley members a cursory glance and snorted with disdain.

“We are more than enough!” Ning Qi laughed sinisterly. ‘That makes sense,’ he thought. ‘Just surviving that spatial storm was a stroke of immense luck. He must have spent this whole year recovering from his injuries. Besides, the Valley Master said that even if Shen Haoran didn’t die, he would be a cripple. After all, not even our Valley Master could necessarily withstand such a terrifying spatial storm!’

However, Ning Qi’s attention was drawn to the woman standing beside Shen Haoran. He could feel immense pressure from her. ‘This woman’s strength is likely greater than mine. It seems Shen Haoran’s luck is quite good to have such a powerhouse protecting him.’

“Afraid of her?” Shen Haoran noticed Ning Qi’s gaze and chuckled softly. He turned to Xue Ling and said, “Go back to the cabin for now. I’ll join you in a bit.”

“Okay.” Hearing this, Xue Ling nodded and walked back into the Flying Shuttle without the slightest hesitation.

Seeing Xue Ling leave, Ning Qi was stunned for a moment, but then his smile grew even wider. ‘Now that the troublesome woman is gone, Shen Haoran is just a fish on the chopping block, mine for the slaughter!’

“Shen Haoran, it seems you really are eager to die!” Ning Qi sneered.

“Go! Take him down, dead or alive!” A cruel smile appeared on Ning Qi’s face.

Hearing the command, the surrounding Fallen Valley Martial Artists all drew their weapons and scrambled toward Shen Haoran. Fallen Valley had offered many tempting rewards: whoever took Shen Haoran’s head would be directly promoted to Elder and receive countless Cultivation resources. They would become masters of their own fate, no longer at the mercy of others!

Shen Haoran watched the approaching Fallen Valley Martial Artists as the Soul-devouring Sword abruptly appeared in his hand, its cold edge gleaming.

“Carefree Slash!”

Shen Haoran let out a soft cry, his body transforming into a streak of violet-black light and vanishing on the spot. At the same time, a sharp Sword Aura flared to life, weaving through the Fallen Valley Martial Artists. In the blink of an eye, he was standing before Ning Qi.

“You… you… You’ve broken through and become a Spirit Emperor Powerhouse!”
