Chapter 1183: Purple Mist’s Interest - Who Is Quasi Cipher Pol’s Contestant?

  • Next Chapter

Months ago,

Before the arrival of the Inquisitors in Harry Potter Bubble.

"One of the Storm Pirates—" Purple Mist told Red. "Acnologia."

Despite being a King-level Contestant herself, she could still recall experiencing that Sadness for the first time.

Acnologia hadn’t been an Above-the-Pillar existence, then.

In fact, among the Storm Pirates, perhaps only Ben Tennyson from the Graveyard of Kings had possessed the strength of an Emperor from the get-go, the closest candidate being Princess Serenity, Sailor Moon.

Purple Mist couldn’t say for sure, as Alan hadn’t taken her with him for those adventures in the Cartoon Bubbles.

After what had happened in the Fate Bubble — where he had become The Banisher — he had stopped letting her tag along.

Still, Purple Mist had been there with him for the most part.

She had been there when Alan had butchered his way through the Bleach Bubble, saving Yhwach from a Corrupt Soul King.

She had been there when Alan, single-handedly, conquered all the Pillar timelines of the Naruto Bubble, befriending Madara along the way, before losing interest in ruling them.

She had been there when Alan had earned the respect of Gold Roger, the Pirate King, before giving up on reaching One Piece, shocking the entire Primordial Tower.

Purple Mist remembered the battle between Alan and Meruem that still held the record for the most Contestants killed in a single day, from both Chaos’s and Order’s sides!

Then there was the unique case of Julius Novachrono from the Black Clover Bubble, who had personally sought out the infamous Storm Pirates before proceeding to fight each one of them, including Alan.

With that fight, the Wizard King had become the last member of the Storm Pirates.

Purple Mist had always remained curious about the positions of Princess Serenity and Ben Tennyson in the crew.

But by the time their presence among the Storm Pirates had publicly come to light, she had already become a 6th Set Contestant.

She had never regretted Alan distancing himself from her, though.

If there was someone she blamed, then it was that bastard — Zelretch.

Still, it would have been... desirable if Alan had once... only once... called her his daughter.

That’s why Red intrigued her so much.

In the last two thousand Tower Years, she didn’t remember Alan acknowledging any of his descendants in the Primordial Tower, other than herself.

However, with Red, not only had The Banisher done the same, but He had gone as far as to pick a fight with The Existence of the Temple of Hastur.

Alan had picked a fight with Zelretch and many other Deep Ones for her as well, Purple Mist remembered.

But there was a difference, she acknowledged.

The battle in the Fate Bubble had been less about her and more about Alan aiming for the realm of Emperors.

The battle that had occurred on the 19th Floor only recently felt more... personal.

Which meant, even if Red was just another descendant, hundreds of generations down the line, the boy deserved all her attention.

Still, Purple Mist wouldn’t mindlessly involve herself with the boy.

The matter of the Inquisition had already proved that it was best to keep herself on the sidelines of his fate and see how far he went.

It would be best if Red managed to reach a level where he could become her student.

Using the Rule of Two, she could then, perhaps, finally break through the last parts of her Main Mission, becoming an Emperor.

But if he ended up dying before that, then she wouldn’t go out of her way to help him, either.

Compared to all that, these little questions were nothing.

In fact, Purple Mist was looking forward to how Red would survive this doom, because being a Celestial had never helped even her when she had truly boasted of this status.

"Thank you for the assistance, Your Majesty," Red said. "I... do have one more request."

"Speak," Purple Mist said, most of her mind still reminiscing about the time she had spent with Alan and others, bringing a smile to her face.

"I want to know who the 12th Floor Contestant sent by Quasi Cipher Pol is," Red requested.

Purple Mist instantly narrowed her eyes.

That was quite unlike her brother.

"I... sensed a familiarity from her," Red explained. "Like seeing a blurry figure in thick fog. For me not to recall her instantly..."

It wasn’t ego.

From Red’s words, all Purple Mist sensed was confidence.

So, she paused the call and looked at her Viceroy through the purple mist before repeating the question.

Shadow Origin instantly took out a set of documents.

Which meant he must have already collected the information without her even asking him.

Pleased, Purple Mist let the documents glide in and went through them.

Black Ghost, Mang Jian, and Darth Kars’ identities she had already learned about after Red had faced them.

The moment she saw the info on Cash, though, she brought out notifications from the leader of Flowers of Doom from the 15th Floor requesting a few words with her.

"Viceroy," Purple Mist said, making the man kneel. "Talk to this girl... Durga. See what she has to say."

"Yes, Your Majesty," Shadow Origin said, accepting the command before disappearing into a mass of shadows instantly.

Once the Viceroy was gone, the Purple King casually lifted the document with Cash’s info and put it under the stack, revealing the last 12th Floor Contestant’s details.

"..."

Purple Mist’s brows shot up.

"Your Majesty?" Red’s words rang in her ears. "Are you still there?"

She couldn’t even be bothered to reply to that idiot, though.

Once she had gone through all the details, she went through them again.

She went as far as to consider if she should call Shadow Origin back here this instant and ask him to explain... why he hadn’t reported this matter to her as soon as he had learned of it?!

Then, suddenly, Purple Mist’s entire attention fell on Red’s choice of words.

For him to sense even the barest hint of familiarity from her... the King thought, surprised. ... Does my brother already command a Mystery of his own?

Red... a tiny 9th Floor Contestant... with Mystery...

Was this the reason for Alan to stir the pot for a mere descendant?

Purple Mist took a deep breath and looked at the info on the Contestant, letting out a sigh.

"This can be a bane or a boon for you, Red, depending upon how you decide to play it out," she said. "Because the Contestant sent... No. The Contestant who had chosen herself to represent the Quasi Cipher Pol is...

"... one of Lady Aphrodite’s clones."
