Chapter 2718 - 2736: Something’s Not Right

Jane Sampson finished speaking, took a big gulp of milk, and let out a small hum.

"What you said makes sense too." Aunt heard Jane Sampson say this, suddenly realized, and instantly felt Jane Sampson was right.

Emily Lancaster must have driven over, feeling the cold was unbearable, she could completely go inside the car to wait.

Besides, going out so early, she isn’t a wooden person, doesn’t she know it’s cold?

"So Emily Lancaster did this on purpose? Intentionally making people think she’s pitiful?" Aunt thought of this and sighed repeatedly, "What kind of thing is this! Young people, not taking their own health seriously, who is she waiting for?"

It’s not that Aunt is overthinking, a woman intentionally pretending to be pitiful is definitely doing so for a man.

Normally when women wait for women, they would absolutely not pretend to be pitiful, especially using such a shivering cold method.

"Inside this great courtyard, who could make Emily Lancaster wait this long pretending to be pitiful? Those boys from Chip Family?" Aunt curiously guessed, "No, that’s not right, only the Old Sir from the Chip Family still lives in the great courtyard, those boys have all moved out to live on their own. Could it be that boy from the Harris Family? That boy from the Harris Family has so many flirtatious thoughts, he changes girlfriends every two or three months, if Emily Lancaster gets involved with him, she’ll really suffer a big loss."

Jane Sampson just quietly listened to Aunt speculate about all the eligible unmarried gentlemen in the great courtyard, until finally, Aunt’s expression changed suddenly.

"Jane, this is not right." Aunt pulled open the chair next to Jane Sampson and sat down, with a heavy face, "Emily Lancaster, after all, is the heiress of Lancaster’s wood business. If she were to date someone from the great courtyard, she wouldn’t need to be so humble. If she wants to find someone, she just needs to use some other method to get in easily, even if she goes to her boyfriend’s parents, they would politely invite her in."

Aunt’s face was heavy, "Could it be that Emily Lancaster is waiting at the doorway for a married man? Otherwise, why would she wait at the doorway instead of directly using connections to get in?"

"Cough cough cough!" Jane Sampson almost sprayed out the milk in her mouth.

Then, Jane Sampson continued to listen as Aunt speculated about each of the married gentlemen in the great courtyard one by one, guessing and then shaking her head in denial, feeling that the child did not seem to be that type of person, and then continued guessing the next one.

However, from beginning to end, Aunt didn’t think of guessing James Black.

Aunt never considered that Emily Lancaster might be waiting at the doorway for James Black.

Aunt continued guessing until Jane Sampson finished breakfast, but she never figured out whom she thought Emily was interested in.

But Aunt didn’t mention asking Jane Sampson to make a call to Thomas Lancaster anymore, Jane Sampson finished breakfast, and Aunt took away the bowl and chopsticks back to the kitchen.

Jane Sampson thought for a moment, went upstairs, and sent Yvette Quick a WhatsApp message asking what Emily told Thomas Lancaster last night, and also mentioned Emily was waiting at the doorway of the courtyard.

Yvette Quick saw the text message while she was at the office, not having her classes this morning, so she was free. Upon seeing Jane Sampson’s WhatsApp message, Yvette Quick immediately made a phone call to Jane Sampson to inquire about the situation.
