Volume 10. Chapter 181: Somehow, She Knew… (Chapter 1082)
Chapter 181: Somehow, She Knew...
Pelia was clearly still preparing for war, and her likely death. As for me… splitting myself between a physical form, and my narration form wasn’t hard. Though, I couldn’t communicate with anyone, nor escape.
Either way, Pelia couldn’t actually kill me, so I wasn’t really in that off of a mood. And, no, before you ask… that woman doesn’t look like my wife, and definitely isn’t an alternative Universe version of Celia. Speaking of my dear wife… she was… closing her eyes, for some reason.
Celia: “You two, one of my wives was just kidnapped; their presence within that city. It would seem that Pelia has either not revealed her full strength to you all, or someone else is pulling the strings.” She informed with a serious tone after her eyes opened.
The Devil: “F-fuck… Is she in any danger?” She asked with a worried tone.
God: “Hopefully not… Please, Celia… we aren’t finished eating yet. We can’t let you save Heaven alone again! It took so long for us to win back respect after the last time…” She added with a deeply pleading tone and expression.
Celia: “…Pelia is stronger than Vulely, that I am at least certain of. However, we’ve reached the point where… dying isn’t really an option.” She answered with a sighful thinking pose.
My wife couldn’t take the pleas from God seriously, as she and her daughter were both still… munching down on Soul Crystals. Honestly, they kinda looked like drug addicts right now, despite Soul Crystals not being an addictive substance.
Although… gaining Levels is euphoric. Maybe they just haven’t Leveled up in a long while, so they’ve become a bit EXP drunk? Ignoring them, my wife… how exactly did she know that I was taken? While obviously an upstart at controlling Mana, Pelia did a very good job at hiding her kidnapping of me…
Eight Hours Later!
The Devil and God: “…”
Celia: “Are you two ready now? I’d like to raid that little city, and get my wife back, asap.” She asked with her arms crossed.
God: “T-then… why did you spend so long feeding us even more Soul Crystals?” She replied with a conflicted head tilt.
Celia: “Vulely is safe, but you and your daughter’s Statuses were too weak. Now that you’ve reached the maximum Level… I won’t have to worry about Pelia assassinating you two while I’m distracted.” She explained, oddly having an actually good reason to pamper women this time around.
Perhaps it went without saying, but Pelia was still more powerful than the Devil and God. Rather, they, like us, have now reached the point where death is literally an impossibility.
Curiously, Pelia doesn’t seem to be aware of this at all. I’m honestly quite interested in her story… And, considering who my wife is, and what Celia’s track record is like… I fear that Pelia’s past will be… something I’ll have to narrate over!!!
