Celia: After Dying in the Apocalypse, I Live Once Again!

Volume 10. Chapter 120: As You’d Expect, She Failed. (Chapter 1021)

Chapter 120: As You'd Expect, She Failed.

Whoosh!

Guanyu and Vulely: “…”

Celia had moved quicker than any of us could comprehend, saving me, and getting some distance away from our attacker. It would seem that… my wife was playing the long game, and wasn’t as restricted by Guanyu as we thought.

In the time it took her to shift from looking weak, on the verge of breaking down into tears, Celia rescued me, and now looked her normal age. I wanted to thank her… but couldn’t. Going for the Soul directly… that isn’t something that is supposed to be possible. Hopefully, it is merely because of this Soul Realm…

Guanyu: “You’ve recovered your power, I see. However, this will still end with my death.” She said with a sigh.

Celia: “It doesn’t have to, you know this.” She replied with a serious tone, holding her (newly equipped) sword firm.

Guanyu: “That’s correct. I just wish for this to be over via me dying. Come now, Celia… I hurt you, and nearly killed one of your wives. This is enough, please give me what I desire.” She expressed with a tone and expression of pure sorrow, brandishing her sword at Celia.

Clang!

Holding onto a tree to not be blown away, I watched in horror as they fought. Each connection of their weapons… sent shockwaves everywhere, drastically changing the shapes of this wasteland. I was witnessing a clash between the two strongest beings in existence…

Celia was more powerful, but this fight wouldn’t be over so easily. For one, if my wife used even 20% of her true strength, Guanyu would lose… and her Soul Realm would be destroyed as well. By no means would Celia ever considering doing that, so, this… is most likely a battle without any end in sight.

Celia: “Vulely, just go to that Golden Core, and wake up the real Guanyu.” She secretly asked of me, via speaking directly in my mind.

Vulely: “But… Guanyu… she’ll kill herself.” I weakly replied.

Celia: “Zia and Ria… they did far worse to me, yet, I forgave them, and they eventually forgave themselves. Guanyu isn’t beyond forgiveness, even if said forgiveness must come from Guanyu herself, not solely from me.” She replied with a coaxing tone.

Vulely: “…”

If I didn’t ask such a stupid question, or let Guanyu lull me into a false sense of ease and safety… Celia wouldn’t be in this situation. The Cultivator, as always, was far too wise.

Like going after the mages or archers first in an ARPG, Guanyu dealt an absurd blow to me. I survived, yes, but the damage was done. Now, I’m too weak to help in the fight, only able to follow Celia’s suggestion.

Vulely: “Won’t she… just snipe me the moment I flee?” I ask with a nervous tone, still feeling quite weakened from Guanyu’s attack to my Soul.

Celia: “No, she won’t. The barbaric personality is out now, and won’t notice anything but me.” She said with a confident tone.

Vulely: “…”

Celia: “I’m not asking you to save Guanyu, Vulely. I merely want you to wake her up. As Guanyu’s wife… helping her through mental hurdles is my job, you see.” She added with a loving, wifey tone, warmth (Pure Mana) covering and healing me, despite Celia not looking away from the raging battle even once.
