Chapter 306: Chapter 306: The Owner of Cloud Top No. 1
Mr. Huang clutched his face and pointed a trembling finger at Qin Tianxuan. "Y-you, why did you hit me?"
Sister Liu charged forward aggressively. "Mr. Huang, this guy is a lunatic! I’ll call people to kill him right now! Song Mingzhu, don’t be so ungrateful! I was kind enough to set you up, and you..."
BAM!
A backhand from Qin Tianxuan shut Sister Liu up.
He raised his hand.
SLAP! SLAP!
Twelve slaps in a row left Sister Liu stunned, her entire face swelling up.
"Don’t think I won’t hit a woman!" Qin Tianxuan stared at her, his tone ice-cold. "Believe it or not, I’ll kill you first."
Sister Liu, her face swollen, shrieked, "Song Mingzhu, why don’t you say something! You bitch, I did all this for nothing."
She was still defiant, glaring viciously at Qin Tianxuan. "You’ve got your eyes on this broad too, don’t you? Take a look at yourself. What makes you think you can compare to Mr. Huang? Do you have a house? Can you even afford to support her?"
Qin Tianxuan casually pulled a black card from his pocket. "Is a house that big of a deal?"
With a CLACK, he placed the key to the Galaxy Apartments unit that Prince had bought for him on the table.
How could someone like Sister Liu possibly recognize the key to a top-tier luxury residence?
The woman scoffed. "Do you take me for a fool? That’s a hotel key card!"
But Mr. Huang, who was behind her clutching his face, recognized it.
The moment he saw the black card, he was dumbstruck.
’Could that be... the key to the Cloud Peak Courtyard at Galaxy Apartments?’
That was right. The silver font on the black card clearly read: "Cloud Peak Courtyard No. 001!"
’Holy crap! Not only was it Cloud Peak Courtyard, but it was No. 001!’
Mr. Huang knew better than anyone that every resident of Galaxy Apartments was a major figure, and those in Cloud Peak Courtyard were the titans among them.
’The owner of the most prestigious unit in Cloud Peak Courtyard, No. 001, is standing right in front of me?’ His legs began to tremble.
Mr. Huang approached, trembling. He slapped Sister Liu aside, took a closer look at the black key card, then bowed a full ninety degrees. "Sir, I was wrong. I had too much to drink earlier. Please, don’t take it to heart!"
Qin Tianxuan glanced at him. "What did I say earlier?"
Mr. Huang’s expression flickered. Finally, gritting his teeth, he dropped to his knees with a THUD.
Qin Tianxuan sent him sprawling with a kick. "Kneel over there, apologize to Mingzhu, and slap your own face. Don’t stop until I tell you to!"
Mr. Huang scrambled up, trembling, and knelt before Song Mingzhu, slapping his own face again and again.
He had no choice; he was truly terrified!
Just a few days ago, a resident of Galaxy Apartments had argued with a few rich kids. By that evening, their entire families had vanished without a trace.
It wasn’t an exaggeration—they had truly disappeared!
’What the hell am I? Just some working stiff who scams women with a rented apartment. I can’t afford to offend a big shot from Galaxy Apartments!’
Mr. Huang slapped himself until his mouth was full of blood, but he didn’t dare stop.
Sister Liu watched, dumbfounded. Finally, clutching her face, she stomped her foot. "You just wait!" She turned and ran off, presumably to find someone to settle the score.
Qin Tianxuan glanced at the time, then kicked Mr. Huang over again. "Crawl out of here. And don’t ever let me see you within a three-mile radius of this street again! Got it?"
As if granted amnesty, Mr. Huang scrambled away for dear life.
Qin Tianxuan silently picked up a mop and began to clean the room.
Song Mingzhu watched him, a glimmer of life returning to her face for the first time.
Putting down the mop, Qin Tianxuan smiled. "Are you thinking I was too heavy-handed?"
Song Mingzhu chuckled softly. "You’re joking, Brother Qin. It was obvious that Mr. Huang was a fraud. His car was secondhand; there’s no way he could afford a house in the capital. The way he was acting just now, if you hadn’t done something, I would’ve slapped him myself."
Qin Tianxuan nodded. His brother’s wife certainly had a mind of her own.
Just then, Sisi was woken up again by the noise. She came out rubbing her eyes and, spotting the black card on the table, couldn’t resist picking it up to play with.
"Sisi, put that down. It belongs to your uncle," Song Mingzhu said, hurrying over.
Qin Tianxuan smiled. "It’s fine. It’s our first time meeting. Consider it a gift from her uncle."
With that, he said directly, "Sister Mingzhu, could I borrow your household registration book for a moment?"
He didn’t explain why.
But Song Mingzhu didn’t hesitate for a second, immediately taking out her household registration book and ID card.
’Her husband was a member of the Battle Department!’
’That made her part of the Northern Domain Battle Department, too.’
’They were comrades who fought and bled together on the battlefield. Their bond was thicker than blood. What reason was there not to trust him?’
Qin Tianxuan found himself admiring Song Mingzhu’s decisive and composed nature even more.
He took out his phone, photographed Sisi’s and Song Mingzhu’s documents, and sent the pictures to Prince. "Change the owner of the Galaxy Apartments unit to Sisi, with Song Mingzhu as her guardian. Also, have the apartment renovated. You take care of getting a car and furniture—get it all set up."
And just like that, with a single sentence, a luxury residence worth a billion was gifted to Sisi.
Song Mingzhu, completely unaware, still thought the black card was just some kind of membership card and let her daughter play with it.
It was getting late, so she started busying herself with tidying up the second floor.
Qin Tianxuan waved her off. "Go get Sisi to sleep. Don’t worry about her illness. I’ll figure something out."
Song Mingzhu no longer insisted, already treating Qin Tianxuan like her own older brother.
After mother and daughter had gone to sleep, Qin Tianxuan silently continued cleaning. Just then, the sound of chaotic footsteps came from outside.
His eyebrow twitched. He closed the door and stood by the roadside.
In the distance, several taxis screeched to a halt, and four or five young men jumped out.
Sister Liu was right behind them, clutching her face and shouting, "It’s that bastard and his bitch in there! They hit me, your aunt!"
"Just wait, Auntie! I’m going to kill him!" Jinmao shouted, leading his buddies in a charge straight at Qin Tianxuan.
