Chapter 1646: Chapter 814: Cos (2nd Update)

Lew Xi’s face showed a trace of angry resentment as she stared at Lily Cruise, saying, "Aren’t you holding a grudge against me because of this?"

Lily Cruise’s complexion changed dramatically.

After their argument, a crowd quickly gathered around them.

The words from Lew Xi were like a stone thrown into a pond, immediately causing ripples to spread across the water’s surface.

Everyone’s expressions and gazes toward Lily Cruise changed.

Previously, many people, like Zhou Yun, might have thought Lily Cruise had no need to do such a thing, but now Lily Cruise suddenly had a motive.

Lily Cruise noticed the change in everyone’s gaze around her, and her face immediately turned unpleasant.

She angrily glared at Lew Xi and said, "What nonsense are you spouting!"

"Did I say anything wrong?" Lew Xi showed a victorious smile, looking at her and said, "Wasn’t Cliff Stewart your ex-boyfriend?"

The moment Cliff Stewart’s name was out of Lew Xi’s mouth, it was like a buzz happened in the room, followed by murmurs as everyone began discussing this name.

It’s a well-known name.

Cliff Stewart is a popular Hollywood actor, who at a young age was even nominated for an Oscar, with immense popularity worldwide.

Zhou Yun looked at Lew Xi and Lily Cruise in surprise, momentarily speechless.

One, Cliff Stewart pursued Lew Xi; two, Lily Cruise used to be Cliff Stewart’s girlfriend.

Zhou Yun exchanged glances with Nakajima Hoto.

Both of them saw the shock in each other’s eyes.

Nakajima Hoto whispered, "So Lew Xi and Lily Cruise have such a big conflict."

Zhou Yun said, "I hadn’t heard anything about it before."

"Me neither, I’m so surprised." Nakajima Hoto said, "But, what Lily Cruise did was too much."

Lily Cruise glared at Lew Xi and said, "Your bow broke, it’s got nothing to do with me, don’t drag Cliff Stewart into this, believe it or not."

She turned and left.

Lew Xi took a deep breath, tears welling up in her eyes.

But she ultimately said nothing more.

Because the bow was broken and needed to be restrung, Lew Xi’s filming schedule had to be delayed.

Tim Lang, whether he heard about Lew Xi and Lily Cruise’s situation or not, didn’t say much upon learning that Lew Xi’s bowstring broke, just ordered a readjustment of the filming schedule.

Eventually, Zhou Yun’s scenes were moved up to be filmed first.

When arranging filming, the crew generally set the best time slots for Zhou Yun and Hugh Redman’s scenes, so neither of them needed to arrive too early nor leave too late.

Hugh Redman tapped Zhou Yun’s shoulder, startling her, not knowing where he came from.

Hugh Redman said, "Don’t forget, we have dinner together tonight."

Tonight, Hugh Redman’s girlfriend, Cos Elliott, was inviting her and Nakajima Hoto for dinner.

This was something Hugh Redman had mentioned to them before.

"Got it." Zhou Yun nodded, "I remember."

The afternoon’s shoot was still a physically demanding scene, Zhou Yun felt she ran about five laps before Tim was satisfied.

In this film, there are many running scenes, and Tim demands that the actors build up their stamina.

He stated that if the actors’ stamina is lacking, the running movements and appearance lack strength.

But even Zhou Yun, who regularly exercises, was panting heavily after filming.

Too tired.

After filming this scene, Zhou Yun was done for the day.

She went to her dressing room to change clothes, planning to head back to the hotel for a shower afterward.

As she passed by Lily Cruise’s dressing room, she happened to see her coming out from inside.

She noticed Lily Cruise’s eyes were slightly red, as if she had just cried.

Upon seeing her, Lily Cruise immediately turned her head sideways, avoided her gaze, and hurriedly left.

Zhou Yun looked back at Lily Cruise in surprise.

In the evening, Zhou Yun changed her clothes, met Nakajima Hoto at the hotel lobby, and then went to the restaurant Hugh Redman had booked.

They met Cos Elliott at the restaurant.

Cos Elliott, sweet-looking, greeted them with a smile, saying, "Hi, I finally get to see you."

Zhou Yun and Nakajima Hoto greeted her in return.

Hugh Redman, holding Cos Elliott’s hand, sat with her and said to them, "Cos has always wanted to meet you two, and today she finally got her wish."

Zhou Yun curiously looked at Cos Elliott and asked, "Did you fly over here specifically from the United States?"

Cos Elliott nodded and said, "Yes, I just finished filming my last movie and currently have no other work, so I came over."

She clung to Hugh Redman’s arm, leaning against him in a dependent manner.

"Thanks to both of you for helping clarify things when Hugh was under attack."

Hugh Redman: "Baby, we agreed not to bring that up anymore."

"Oh, sorry, I forgot again," Cos Elliott said, "As soon as I see both of you, I want to express my gratitude."

Zhou Yun smiled.

"I heard from Hugh that you’re an actress too?" she asked.

Cos Elliott nodded and said, "Yes."

"The movie she just finished filming is Spielberg’s new film," Hugh Redman said.

"Wow." Nakajima Hoto exclaimed delightedly, "Spielberg’s new film? How impressive."

"I’m just a newcomer and played a small role," Cos Elliott waved her hand, "I can’t compare to you all; you are already such seasoned actors."

The four ate dinner and chatted together.

Perhaps due to Cos Elliott’s presence, their conversation was different from usual; each word was measured before it was spoken.

Previously, the atmosphere when they had dinner was simpler and freer.

Hugh Redman seemed to have noticed a change in Lew Jianglin and Nakajima Hoto, bringing up the matter that occurred in the crew today.

"What happened today between Lew Xi and Lily? I heard they had a serious conflict."

"Ah, don’t you know?" Nakajima Hoto’s eyes widened, "I thought everyone in the crew was aware."

Hugh Redman said, "I had lunch with Cos, came back late, and after finishing my scenes, I only heard others mentioning they had a big argument."
