"Do you still have the script, or has someone else already bought it?" Yao Yuanfeng asked, although he already knew the answer.

Liu Qidong said, "President Yao, I have already reached an agreement with another company."

"Have you signed the contract?" Yao Yuanfeng inquired.

Liu Qidong replied, "We’ve already reached an agreement, President Yao. Whether we’ve signed the contract or not makes no difference now. Thank you for your recognition, but I’ve already promised someone else."

Yao Yuanfeng sighed and said, "Alright, but Qidong, you need to understand something: while anyone can produce your film, very few companies can provide comprehensive, full-chain services like we at New Shield can, including distribution. How many guaranteed screenings you can get is significantly related to the company."

"Yes, I know," Liu Qidong said, "but I’ve already promised someone else."
