The Little Paperman turned around and glanced at Xuan Chu, who wore an expression of comfort, before continuing to spread knowledge.

"The Power of Purification originates from the Moonlight, inherently having the effect of clearing most negative emotions."

If this place belonged to any other family, it would certainly be considered the most important place for cultivation.

Xuanmen people, during their cultivation journey, fear not the lack of resources but the loss of their Dao Heart due to various reasons.

But if there is a natural Purification Array powered by the Moonlight Power, it would indeed be twice as effective, never creating any distracting thoughts during cultivation.

And now, such a precious Array is sealed underground.

Xuan Chu suddenly didn’t know whether to say the Little Paperman didn’t recognize the treasure or that it was just so rich.

But thinking about it, it wasn’t surprising at all, as this Moonlight City had been in the Little Paperman’s hands for over a thousand years, with substantial foundations.

"Let’s go, Er Dan is down below!"

The underground passage wasn’t long, and they reached it after about ten minutes of walking.

The soothing feeling that seemed to wash over one’s entire self with a spring breeze grew even stronger.

Xuan Chu immediately spotted Er Dan lying on something resembling an altar.

In his eyes, it had only been a month since they last met, yet Er Dan’s physique had undergone a complete transformation.

If it weren’t for the Little Paperman leading him here, he wouldn’t have dared to recognize that ostrich, looking almost half the size of a room, as the mischievous Er Dan.

The Little Paperman naturally noticed Xuan Chu’s surprised expression and couldn’t help but sigh; a thousand years truly had changed too many things.

"Huh, why is there a tuft of black hair on Er Dan’s forehead? Wasn’t it supposed to mutate into pure white?"

The Little Paperman shook its head, not knowing how the black hue got stained onto Er Dan.

But it was evident that Er Dan’s slumber was related to that black hue.

Initially, when Er Dan ventured out to investigate the master’s whereabouts, it was perfectly fine, with its body entirely snow-white. But it returned extremely battered.

After carrying back those injured and unconscious individuals, it didn’t have time to explain anything before fainting.

Since then, it never woke up, with countless black things lingering on its body.

As for those rescued by Er Dan, their Divine Souls suffered severe erosion.

Forget about recounting the past events; even regaining normalcy seemed difficult. It had exhausted significant resources to barely save their lives.

The final result was Er Dan’s slumber, and those spies sent out with it to find Yun Ran were entirely crippled, only lingering on until they gradually died of old age.

The black things entwined in Er Dan’s body proved exceptionally stubborn, resistant to any attempts at removal.

The Little Paperman had no choice but to put Er Dan in this natural purification array, hoping borrow the Moonlight’s power to awaken Er Dan as soon as possible.

And thus they waited, for five hundred years.

Most of the black things on Er Dan’s body had been cleansed, leaving just that last remaining black patch on its forehead.

No one knew how much longer it would take to purify that last black patch.

Xuan Chu could clearly see Er Dan’s body rhythmically tremble with each breath.

This indicated that while the black hue kept Er Dan from awakening, it hadn’t harmed its foundation.

Say what you will, but it truly lives up to being unreachable by Heavenly Destiny; once grown up, it really is hard to kill.

"Would you like to stay in this purification array for some time? I see the impatience about to burst forth in you is very likely to affect your future foundation."

The Little Paperman didn’t know what maneuvering meant, directly pointing out the existing crisis in Xuan Chu.

Having found the Little Paperman, the tension in Xuan Chu’s heart relaxed, allowing his state to adjust quickly without needing to stay within the purification array.

"There’s no need. Heavenly Dao Village has special cultivation methods that won’t let unstable mindsets affect cultivation matters."

People from Heavenly Dao Village, if they can’t stabilize their own mindset, certainly can’t withstand the prohibition bestowed by Heavenly Dao.

The Little Paperman merely reminded him out of goodwill. Since Xuan Chu didn’t need it, it also wasn’t surprising, given that it also didn’t need to stay within the purification array.

"All right, since it’s unnecessary, let’s head out."

Having seen Er Dan, the two returned back above ground, where it remained eerily empty.

Only then did Xuan Chu finally confirm that the Little Paperman was indeed a real power-holder with authoritative influence.

As they retraced their steps, Xuan Chu suddenly stopped in his tracks.

The Little Paperman looked at him in confusion: "What’s wrong? Did you notice something amiss?"

Never daring to doubt Xuan Chu in the slightest, this was the ruthless figure who nearly drove the master to cough up blood!

"No, I just suddenly remembered something. Where did Ginsengfruit go?"

He had spent quite some time with the Little Paperman, yet from start to finish, the Little Paperman hadn’t mentioned Ginsengfruit.

Previously, the Little Paperman used to enthusiastically refer to Ginsengfruit as the boss and would often end up getting disciplined by Ginsengfruit.

Under normal circumstances, it was impossible for the Little Paperman not to mention Ginsengfruit.

Could it be they had a falling out?

But what Xuan Chu saw was the Little Paperman’s face, full of bewilderment, seemingly not understanding what Xuan Chu was talking about.

The next second, the Little Paperman’s doubts were vocalized.

"Who is Ginsengfruit? What are you talking about?"

Xuan Chu’s heart instantly plummeted.

Anyone could possibly forget Ginsengfruit, except the Little Paperman, because both were creations of Yun Ran.

In a certain sense, the Little Paperman and Ginsengfruit could be considered sibling-like beings.

Yet now, with the Little Paperman completely appearing to not remember Ginsengfruit, this genuinely startled Xuan Chu.

He was just about to inquire regarding what had occurred, why the Little Paperman had forgotten Ginsengfruit.

The Sound Transmission Talisman Paper the Little Paperman carried transmitted a message.

It turned out that the person who descended from the sky had been brought back and was now being held in the punishment chamber.

The Little Paperman didn’t recollect Ginsengfruit, so naturally, it didn’t consider this oddly named person significant.

"How about we go check the penalties first? We can discuss the other matters later!"

The Little Paperman was most anxious to verify how fragile the world’s barrier had become, postponing everything else.

Xuan Chu naturally understood the Little Paperman’s intention; he opened his mouth but finally pressed down the questions on the tip of his tongue.

Despite a thousand years having passed, his trust in the Little Paperman remained unchanged.

Yet he ultimately overlooked that the Little Paperman was no longer the former Little Paperman, but the ruler wielding power and issuing orders for over a thousand years!
