Chapter 87: Chapter 86: Victims

During the afternoon, inside a black car, Caesar sat in the passenger seat, wearing a grey jacket, white midriff inner wear, blue jeans trousers and blue sneakers while the bodyguards in front were driving.

During that time, Caesar was gazing outside the window and watching people performing their usual activities. Among the people, Caesar noticed a young fair skinned female beastfolk holding two little fair skinned human boys by arms and crossing the road.

Seeing that moment made Caesar turn her face away instantly.

Later as the guards dropped her in front of her house and drove off, Caesar walked towards the door and extended her arm to the handle. However before she could touch it, she froze for a moment and exhaled.

Entering in, Caesar removed her jacket and tossed it to the couch.

As she took a few steps forward, she noted the three tickets she bought for the Black Sunday concert that her and brothers went to, laying on the table.

Instantly she recalled how she and her brothers were jumping and dancing happily there.

Done remembering that moment, her hands slowly shook along with her breath becoming heavy.

Caesar turned to the couch she tossed her jacket and had another quick remembrance of Bea sitting on it while Rai and Eyo were tied up, increasing the intensity of her hands shaking and her breathing even more.

Caesar tightened her fists to subdue the emotional pain she was feeling but with more memories kicking of her brothers laying unconscious in the forest and them laying unconscious on the hospital bed with oxygen masks round the lower parts of their face, Caesar gasped for air and dropped to her knees as she was overwhelmed by the trauma.

Caesar bowed her head down and started sobbing.

Her fingers dug into the ground and she clenched her teeth. During the moment, Raizan’s voice played.

"I am indeed sorry for your loss."

The image of Raizan’s face surfaced on her head which brought Caesar to tighten her fists.

"Sorry for my loss..." Caesar said to herself in a low dangerous tone, "Sorry? Who are you kidding? You? Sorry? Like hell you are.

You’re not sorry in anyway. Putting up a show for others to see while you do evil behind their backs.

Akari may have been the one to force me into EBW and the one consistently trying to make my life hell for her sick pleasure and entertainment, but you were the one who initiated the idea of selling my brothers in the first place all just to get back the debt money I was coerced into paying... Caesar slammed the side of her fist on the ground and continued speaking.

"The worse part of that hospital is that I couldn’t act!" Caesar continued as she slammed the side of her fist on the ground again, "I couldn’t even call him out on his bullshit because of how it would make me look and because of my brothers lives in their current state!

"Fuck you...! Fuck you! Fuck you! Fuck you!" Caesar said as she slammed the side of her fist repeatedly.

Caesar started breathing in a steady manner, trying to regain her breath until the face of Ruz surfaced in her head, making her to scowl.

"Ruz... You bastard...!" Caesar said in her mind, "You put hit on me and in doing that, you dragged two innocent lives...!"

"Two innocent people who had nothing to do with this!" Caesar continued as her amber irises turned red, "I swear to heaven and earth, if I-"

Caesar paused in her thoughts as she recalled the faces of Rai and Eyo smiling which quickly transitioned into the current state of them laying unconscious in the hospital.

The recollection made tears fall from the eyes of Caesar down to the ground and Caesar in exhaustion, completely slumped to the ground and started sobbing again.

"Why... Why did this have to go wrong?" Caesar asked within, "All I wanted was for them to spend their two days midterm break with me before they head back to school.

This was supposed to be the final day... This was... Rai... Eyo... I’m so sorry..."

"I’m so..." Caesar said within as she balled one of her fists.

Hours had past as Caesar laid inert on the ground; silence stayed in the house during the moment until the sound of a repeated knocking on the door reverberated.

Caesar slightly groaned as she slowly woke up from the sound, carrying red circles round her eyes before she turned her attention to the door’s direction.

The knocks on the door continued which made Caesar softly groan again as she stood on her feet.

"Coming..!" Caesar said.

Caesar sluggishly walked towards the door and planted her head on it for a moment before she decided to open it.

In doing that, Caesar saw a fair skinned human woman with a yellow slick back hair and green irises, wearing a brown buttoned coat, black trousers and black shoes.

"Caesar Moon, correct?" The woman asked.

"Yeah...?" Caesar replied.

"Good afternoon. My name is Myli Monroe and I have got some very important topic to discuss with you." Myli said, "Mind if I -?"

"Not interested." Caesar interrupted.

Caesar immediately closed the door and turned her back to walk away only for the knockings on the door to resonate again.

Initially Caesar tried to ignore it but the woman’s persistent knocking made Caesar pout and close her eyes in annoyance.

Caesar then walked back towards the door and quickly opened it.

"Look, lady, I said I’m not interested, so leave me alone!" Caesar said.

Right before Caesar could slam the door shut, Myli hastily placed her hand on the door.

"Wait, this is really important!" Myli desperately said, "I can help you!"

"I don’t want any help, now please get the fuck out!" Caesar replied as she was becoming more irritated.

"I know the truth about your situation! I know that you were forced into ero-wrestling by the Mizukais!" Myli said.

Caesar in hearing that, paused and stared at Myli with widened eyes.

Immediately, Caesar grabbed her by the coat, drew her into the house and closed the door.

Myli stumbled in and hastily turned around too see Caesar’s forehead resting on the door.

Caesar slowly turned her gaze to Myli and furrowed her brows.

"What did you just say?" Caesar asked.

Myli adjusted her coat and herself before clearing her throat.

"I know the truth about your situation." Myli answered , "I know that the Mizukais forced you into paying for a debt that is not yours... Your parents debt... Five million yons."

"And since you were unable to do so, they coerced you into EBW." Myli continued as Caesar’s stare grew wider.

Caesar stared at Myli for a time before she spoke.

"Where did you hear that? Where did you hear any of this?"

"In the hospital last month when you were talking with the graveyard thief... Kaezan Aris... Yes, that’s his name. Kaezan Aris." Myli answered.

"You were eavesdropping?" Caesar asked.

"Yes... Well technically no... But... This topic isn’t about me, its about you and the injustice you are facing right now." Myli said, "You’re a young woman who was coerced... Forced into paying for something she did not owe which is completely illegal and to make it worse, you were pushed into a perverted ultra violent circuit where your name is dragged across the mud."

"You’re facing two false narratives." Myli continued as Caesar narrowed her eyes, "To us that are not fans of ’ero-wrestling’, you’re seen as a degenerate, a pervert, a rich thrill-seeker and to the fans of that flith, you’re an industry plant.

None of them are true. No one should be going through this. No one at all. That’s why I’m here... To help you."

"I’ve gathered a lot of evidence against the Mizukais and I am willing to use them to expose just how rotten the family is." Myli said as she brought out a small rectangular device, "All I need is your cooperation and we will make this work."

"No." Caesar replied.

"Huh?" Myli said in confusion.

"No, I’m not doing it." Caesar said.

Caesar walked past Myli while Myli’s eyes widened in bewilderment.

"You’re not doing it?" Myli asked, "B-but why?"

Caesar halted and looked over her shoulder.

"If you did your research then you will understand why I refused." Caesar said.

"I did my research and I still can’t understand why you’d refuse help." Myli replied.

"Even with my brothers lives on the line, you still can’t understand?" Caesar asked.

"Your brothers?" Myli asked.

"So you don’t know? And I thought you did your research." Caesar sarcastically said.

"I know the Mizukais have done too many terrible things. I know the atrocities they have committed on people." Myli said, "I know how Kaezan was forced into ero-wrestling just like you ... But your brothers... What do they have to do with this?"

"Wow. Alright then, I’ll tell you." Caesar said as she fully turned towards Myli, "The Mizukais wanted to sell my brothers to regain the five million yons debt since I was unable to pay for two years. Two years of failure in paying a debt I never owed.

When their minds were made, Akari came with an alternative... Either I become an ero-wrestler or they proceed with the auction.

I had no choice."

Hearing those words, Myli tilted her head down in disbelief.

"What the hell? They... This is crazy." Myli softly said, "And you’re enduring all of this for their sakes? This is nuts!"

"You get it now? Every shit I take, every smear I get from others is so that they wouldn’t have to be sold like livestock." Caesar said, "The Mizukais have the lives of my brothers in their hands and with their current situation, I’d say it’s quite literal now."

Myli was left speechless with this revelation. Her mouth parted as though she wanted to say something but words couldn’t find their way out.

"You get the message now? Just walk away and leave this story alone." Caesar said.

"But... But... This can’t be how it ends." Myli said.

"How it ends?" Caesar asked in confusion.

"I mean, with everything that is going, are you just going to leave things like that?" Myli asked.

"Lady, I already told you to leave this story alone. I’m not interested in what you have to offer." Caesar said.

"But you can’t continue to live this! You can’t continue living in this manner!" Myli said, "This... This is too much!"

"Well, I told you I’m okay." Caesar said.

"No, you’re not!" Myli instantly replied, "You’re not okay!"

"Your face alone says it!" Myli continued as Caesar slightly parted her mouth to the left in annoyance.

"Lady-"

"This-this story if we can reveal it, you can bring light to the world and help victims especially victims of sexual abuse step forward!" Myli said, "With your story, victims can no longer be afraid of-"

"Bitch, are you deaf?!" Caesar asked in anger, "I said leave that shit alone!"

The explosive reply from Caesar caught Myli off guard, and Caesar being exhausted, let out a sigh.

"Gosh, I’m too tired for this." Caesar said as she turned her face away.

Caesar then turned her gaze back to Myli and furrowed her brows.

"This story you want to bring to the ’light’... I’d preferred if it stayed in the dark." Caesar said, "What you are doing isn’t going to bring some sort of justice, it’s gonna dig four graves. Your grave, my grave and my brothers."

"But-"

"No buts." Caesar interjected.

While they were both talking, a grey car was driving towards Caesar’s house, having the symbol of the Mizukais at the back.
