I Reject the Title of Supreme [Part 2]

CHIRP!!

A clear, piercing cry rang across Sovereign Peak.

The sound was strangely bright against the oppressive silence hanging over the heavens.

Beside Victor, a pitch-black bird suddenly appeared.

Its feathers were darker than the night sky, swallowing the surrounding light. A terrifying aura rolled from its small body, carrying the ancient majesty of a creature born alongside the laws of fortune.

It was the Salvatore family’s guardian spirit beast—the Imperial Destiny Raven!

Behind Victor, the Three eye’s Auspicious destiny Dragon raised its head.

ROOOAAAR!!

Its enormous body coiled through the clouds, golden scales shining beneath the strange heavenly radiance.

The dragon’s roar was filled with defiance.

It was as though it wanted to challenge the heavens themselves.

The Imperial Destiny Raven and the Three eye’s Auspicious destiny Dragon were not ordinary creatures.

Both were intimately connected to fortune.

And because of that connection, they could sense something that countless powerful beings could not.

Something was wrong.

The seemingly boundless auspicious signs descending from the heavens were not as benevolent as they appeared.

There was malice hidden beneath them.

A deep, ancient malice.

A bestowed title?

A granted name?

Victor’s golden eyes remained calm.

The Great Laws of World were wrong.

Or perhaps the problem lay even deeper.

Above the Great Laws of World, terrifying beings existed.

They twisted everything.

They manipulated the rules of existence while looking down upon all living beings as nothing more than delicacies waiting to be consumed.

The so-called investiture.

The auspicious clouds.

The celestial music.

The heavenly blessings.

All of it looked beautiful.

But beneath that beauty were invisible chains.

Chains that could not be seen with ordinary eyes.

Chains that could bind one’s destiny without the victim even realizing it.

And Victor knew.

He had seen through it.

Since he knew the truth, how could he possibly allow them to have their way?

His black robe fluttered gently in the wind.

Golden dragon embroidery shimmered across the fabric.

His long, shoulder-length black hair drifted behind him, occasionally brushing against his shoulders.

Those golden eyes remained fixed upon the heavens.

There was no fear.

No hesitation.

Only cold clarity.

"I do not accept the investiture!"

His voice was not loud.

Yet it spread through the entire sky.

Then Victor raised his gaze slightly.

"Begone!"

Two simple words.

But they carried an unmistakable will.

He stood before heaven and earth.

And he refused to bow.

Even before the heavens themselves, Victor would not waver.

As his words fell—

Everything froze.

The auspicious clouds hanging across the sky stopped moving.

The celestial music abruptly lost its gentle rhythm.

Then the beautiful melodies twisted.

The music became howling.

The heavenly maidens who had been dancing gracefully in the firmament suddenly began to weep blood.

Their once-beautiful faces twisted in anguish.

The golden clouds darkened.

Black clouds rolled across the heavens like an endless tide.

The atmosphere itself became suffocating.

It seemed as though the Great Laws of World had finally grown furious.

The Great Laws of World had bestowed a title.

And someone had dared to refuse it.

BOOM—CRASH!!

BOOM—RUMBLE!!

Thunder exploded across the heavens.

The entire world shook.

The sky became blood-red.

Streaks of crimson tribulation thunder tore across the darkness, each bolt carrying a terrifying aura that made even ancient cultivators tremble.

These were not ordinary lightning bolts.

They were forces formed from the very brilliance of the Great Laws of World.

Even the weakest among them possessed enough destructive power to devastate the entire Celestial Capital Domain.

The invisible force of investiture still hung above Victor.

It had not disappeared.

If anything, it had become more terrifying.

This was no longer an investiture.

It was a threat.

The grotesque crimson thunder twisted through the heavens.

It moved like countless living insects crawling across the firmament.

They hungered.

They wanted to devour everything.

To destroy everything.

To erase everything that dared stand against them.

Yet beneath that terrifying sky, Victor remained completely still.

A faint smile slowly appeared at the corner of his lips.

"Heaven and earth are never complete..." he murmured softly.

His voice was almost inaudible.

But there was understanding within it.

Something had clicked into place.

A thought.

A realization.

A flaw.

As those words fell—

BOOM!!

The heavens trembled.

It was almost as if heaven and earth possessed a consciousness of their own.

The tribulation thunder suddenly shrieked.

It twisted violently.

It evolved.

The crimson lightning began changing as though it were a living creature struggling to break free of something.

Something unimaginable was being born within it.

Victor slowly raised one hand.

His fingers moved casually.

Law rhythms—no, the profound principles of the Great Laws of World—erupted around him.

The surrounding space distorted.

The air trembled.

Under the Absolute Destruction Art, that invisible sense of investiture began to dissolve.

It vanished layer by layer.

Like mist beneath the morning sun.

The heavenly chains were broken.

And the moment those restraints disappeared—

The twisted tribulation thunder broke free.

Crimson.

Strange.

Ominous.

Calamitous.

Countless terrifying auras surged from the depths of the lightning.

They collided with one another.

They merged.

They spread.

A tide of annihilation swept outward from the heavens.

Across the countless realms, powerful beings watched in silence.

Some were shocked.

Some were excited.

Some were terrified.

Then voices began transmitting across the void.

"This is... a warning from the Great Laws of World..."

"To defy heaven may leave a path to life—to defy the Great Laws of World leaves none!"
