The Star That Touched the Great Laws

It was as though an entirely new world had opened before him.

Even Victor, who had seemed so overwhelmingly powerful before, now felt like someone Alaric could challenge.

That thought made the corner of his mouth rise.

For the first time, Alaric felt a genuine surge of confidence.

He slowly rose into the air.

Frost began to gather around him.

The temperature of the surrounding void dropped sharply. Thin crystals spread through the darkness, glittering beneath the faint light of the moon.

Then—

A gigantic frost wolf emerged from the enormous moon shadow behind him.

Its massive body stretched across the sky.

Crystalline frost covered its limbs and back. Its enormous claws seemed capable of tearing the heavens apart.

Its eyes were cold and merciless.

There was no trace of emotion in them.

Only the instinct to hunt.

The Wolf-Moon Howling Heaven Art—slaughtering all creation.

Alaric’s aura erupted.

The void trembled around him.

"You are not Lunar Saint!!"

His eyes suddenly blazed with delight.

He had finally noticed something that had escaped him earlier.

Victor was terrifying.

There was no doubt about that.

Even before Alaric had broken through, he had understood that much.

Victor’s strength had been far beyond what a Stellar Sovereign should possess.

But there was something strange about him.

Something that Alaric had overlooked because Victor’s presence was simply too overwhelming.

There was no law aura around him.

Alaric’s breathing became heavier.

His eyes narrowed as he stared at Victor.

To enter the Lunar Saint Realm was not simply a matter of accumulating more Spiritual Essence.

It was a transformation.

A cultivator’s star sea would transform into a moon.

Through that transformation, the cultivator would establish a connection with the Great Laws of the World.

Once that connection was formed, the laws would naturally surround the cultivator.

They would flow through every movement.

Every breath.

Every strike.

The laws would no longer be something external.

They would become part of the cultivator’s very existence.

A genuine Lunar Saint could not completely hide that presence.

Yet Victor had none of it.

His aura was deep.

His presence was unfathomable.

The power hidden within his body was enough to make even Alaric cautious.

But there was no obvious law aura surrounding him.

There was no visible connection between Victor and the Great Laws of the World.

That realization changed everything in Alaric’s eyes.

The fear he had felt earlier began to disappear.

Confidence slowly took its place.

So that was it.

Victor had never entered the Lunar Saint Realm.

He had only been frighteningly powerful within the Stellar Sovereign Realm.

Alaric’s lips curled upward.

"I never claimed to be Lunar Saint."

Victor stood calmly in the void.

His long, shoulder-length black hair drifted behind him.

The raging frost swept across the battlefield, yet it could not disturb his composure.

His golden eyes remained tranquil.

There was no excitement in them.

No fear.

No hesitation.

His black robe moved gently in the wind.

The golden dragon embroidery across it shimmered faintly beneath the lightning-filled heavens.

Victor simply looked at Alaric.

As if the person standing before him had not just broken into the Lunar Saint Realm.

As if nothing had changed.

That calmness irritated Alaric.

His smile gradually faded.

A cold expression replaced it.

"Hmph!"

Alaric’s voice carried across the empty sky.

"I admit, within Stellar Sovereign, I could not match you."

He clenched his fist.

Frost gathered around his arm.

"But I have entered Lunar Saint now."

The enormous frost wolf behind him raised its head.

A low growl rolled through the heavens.

Alaric stared directly at Victor.

"Today, you die!!"

The instant those words fell—

BOOM!!

His spiritual power erupted.

The moon shadow behind him expanded violently.

The gigantic frost wolf raised its head and let out a furious howl.

The Wolf-Moon Howling Heaven Art erupted.

The frost wolf stepped across the void, descending upon the mortal realm!!

Wherever the wolf passed, space itself froze.

The air crystallized.

The ground beneath them was covered by layers of white frost.

Even the invisible currents of spiritual power seemed to become sluggish.

All techniques froze.

All power congealed.

The temperature plunged so rapidly that several nearby Stellar Sovereign experts instinctively retreated.

Alaric raised both hands.

The frost around his body became even denser.

"Die!! Become the first offering to my Lunar Saint Realm!"

His laughter echoed through the heavens.

He had waited too long for this moment.

He had finally stepped into the realm he had dreamed of.

And now he would use the blood of this mysterious Salvatore Family patriarch to establish his prestige.

The frost wolf descended.

The moon behind it shone with terrifying brilliance.

Yet—

As the frost spread toward Victor, Alaric’s triumphant smile slowly disappeared.

Something was wrong.

Very wrong.

His pupils contracted.

In his vision, the frost covering the world suddenly stopped.

Not slowed.

Not weakened.

Stopped.

His law had frozen in place.

Alaric’s breathing ceased.

"What..."

His voice barely escaped his throat.

Then he saw it.

A single star.

It emerged from the endless darkness behind Victor.

Only one.

Yet the moment that star appeared, the entire world seemed to lose its color.

A violent aura erupted from it.

It was not merely power.

It was something beyond ordinary laws.

Something deeper.

Something that had already touched the Great Laws of World.

Alaric’s face drained of color.

"No..."

The single star moved.

There was no earth-shaking roar.

No spectacular explosion.

It simply moved backward through the void.

And everything it passed vanished.

The frost.

The moon.

The wolf.

The laws.

The very order that supported them.

Everything was destroyed.

In an instant, the moon Alaric had just condensed was shattered.

BOOM—RUMBLE!!

The moon shadow broke apart like glass.

Countless fragments of frost scattered across the heavens.

Alaric’s body violently shook.

Blood sprayed from his mouth.

His internal stars were annihilated one after another.

The moon he had condensed had fallen.

His newly awakened aura weakened rapidly.

It was like a brilliant flame suddenly thrown into a storm.

BOOM—RUMBLE!!

Above them, ten thousand thunderclaps roared.

The heavens trembled.

Tribulation lightning churned within the clouds.

Victor stood beneath it all.

His black robes fluttered gently.

His golden eyes remained indifferent.

Even the overturning of heaven and earth could not move him.

Alaric stared at him.

His face had become almost ghostly pale.

"Stars... touched by the aura of the Great Laws of World... just what are you?!"

His voice was hoarse.

The question came from the deepest part of his soul.

The Great Laws of World.

The supreme existence.

The ultimate origin beyond ordinary laws.

Something so profound that even Grand Saint Realm cultivators could only barely touch its threshold.

Yet Victor—

At merely the Stellar Sovereign Realm—

had already touched its aura.

Across the nine heavens and ten earths, such a thing had never been heard of.

How could someone possibly cultivate to such a terrifying level?

How could one person possess such monstrous foundations?

But Victor did not even spare him a glance.

His gaze shifted upward.

The Ten Thousand Tribulation Thunders were almost completely formed.

The dark clouds above Red Cliff Mountain had become nearly solid.

Countless bolts of black lightning twisted through the thunder pool.

Victor’s expression remained calm.

"Even the heavens are too small..." he said softly.

His voice was quiet.

Almost like a sigh.

He had not come here for Alaric.

He had come to save his Red-Quality clansman.

Killing Alaric was nothing more than an incidental matter.

His true purpose had never changed.

Victor raised his hand.

A Heavenly-rank treasure appeared in his palm.

The Sovereign Star Blade.

Its blade shimmered beneath the thunderclouds.

For a moment, the entire world seemed to quiet.

BOOM—RUMBLE!!

The Ten Thousand Tribulation Thunders had fully formed.

From the enormous thunder pool in the sky, endless lightning descended upon the mortal realm.

The target was clear.

That heaven-defying existence sealed within the Cloud Spiritual Exiliar.
