Building an Eternal Dynasty: The Eternal Legacy System
Chapter 133: The Pride of Empires
The Pride of Empires
Jessica continued quietly.
"I once heard him say after drinking too much..."
"That the Destiny of the Sacred Lands was like rain covering the heavens..."
"And that the Divine Dynasties were merely sparrows daring to swallow dragons."
A faint smile appeared on her face as she remembered that rare occasion.
"But..."
"The moment I mentioned the words..."
"Salvatore Family..."
"He sobered instantly."
Her smile disappeared.
"He refused to utter another word."
"No matter how much wine I poured."
"No matter how much I questioned him."
"He simply kept his mouth shut."
Jessica looked directly into James’s eyes.
"Do you understand..."
"...what that means?"
James wasn’t a fool.
Growing up within the Imperial Palace had taught him how to read between the lines long ago.
The implication behind his sister’s words...
Was enough to make anyone’s heart tremble.
His pupils contracted.
His hands slowly clenched into fists.
If Adrian Valerius...
Someone who had seen Sacred Lands with his own eyes...
Still refused to discuss the Salvatore Family...
Then...
His breathing unconsciously became heavier.
Could it really mean...
That the Salvatore Family’s background exceeded even the Sacred Lands?
The thought itself sounded absurd.
Impossible.
Yet...
For some reason...
James couldn’t dismiss it.
Before either sibling could speak again—
A thunderous roar suddenly echoed across Red Cliff Mountain.
"THE AZURE SOVEREIGN EMPIRE HAS ARRIVED!!"
BOOOOOOM!!
The heavens trembled.
The earth shook violently beneath everyone’s feet.
Loose stones rolled down the cliffs as an overwhelming pressure swept across the mountain.
Every conversation instantly stopped.
Thousands of cultivators simultaneously turned toward the distant horizon.
A massive shadow slowly emerged through the clouds.
With every step it took...
The ground quaked.
Then...
Everyone saw it clearly.
A gigantic black warhorse covered from head to hoof in dark crimson scales.
Its body radiated dense black demonic energy.
Its scarlet eyes burned like twin suns.
Every breath it exhaled released waves of scorching heat.
The spiritual beasts accompanying the various sects and noble families immediately lowered their heads.
Some collapsed onto the ground.
Others whimpered in fear.
Even powerful flying mounts instinctively retreated through the sky.
Someone in the crowd gasped.
"A King Beast!"
Another cultivator’s voice trembled.
"No..."
"That’s a Half-Blood King Beast!"
"It actually possesses royal blood!"
The crowd instantly exploded into chaos.
"A Half-Blood King Beast?"
"Which force could possibly possess such a terrifying mount?"
"Impossible..."
Even seasoned elders couldn’t hide their shock.
A King Beast was a magical beast whose bloodline had once produced an existence that reached the Solar Eclipse Realm.
That single ancestor elevated the entire bloodline.
Every descendant inherited a trace of that supreme lineage.
A Half-Blood King Beast...
Possessed nearly half of that royal bloodline.
Not only were such beasts extraordinarily rare...
Their battle strength far surpassed ordinary creatures of the same cultivation realm.
No one had expected...
That the Azure Sovereign Empire would possess foundations this profound.
The arrival of a single mount...
Had already shaken everyone gathered at Red Cliff Mountain.
------------------------
Upon the back of the Half-Blood King Beast stood three young men.
The one at the forefront wore immaculate white robes that fluttered gently in the mountain breeze. His features were ordinary, yet his smile was warm enough to fool almost anyone into believing he was approachable. His posture was elegant, and every movement carried the confidence of someone accustomed to standing above others.
With his hands clasped behind his back, he looked down upon the countless young geniuses gathered below before speaking in a calm, gentle voice.
"Esteemed prodigies of the Dawn Empire."
"My name is Lucas Bluestone, Fourth Prince of the Azure Sovereign Empire. Behind me stand my Fifth Brother and Seventh Brother."
He paused, his pleasant smile widening ever so slightly.
"It truly is fate that we have the honor of entering the Heavenly Secret Realm alongside all of you."
His voice was courteous.
His expression was friendly.
His words were polite.
Yet everyone present could clearly sense the arrogance hidden beneath that refined exterior.
He stood upon the head of a Half-Blood King Beast, looking down on every genius gathered beneath him as though they were insects beneath his feet.
Though he spoke of honor and fate...
Deep within his eyes lurked unmistakable disdain.
As for the two princes standing behind him...
They made no effort whatsoever to conceal theirs.
The Fifth Prince lazily crouched on the beast’s broad head before stretching his arms with a loud yawn.
"Heh..."
He glanced at the crowd below with obvious disappointment.
"Fourth Brother, are you serious?"
He scratched his cheek before laughing openly.
"These... things can actually be called prodigies?"
His mocking laughter echoed throughout Red Cliff Mountain.
Instantly...
The expressions of the Dawn Empire’s younger generation darkened.
Every person gathered here was the pride of their respective family or sect.
Each had fought countless rivals to earn their place.
None of them could tolerate such humiliation.
The atmosphere immediately turned tense.
"They’re too arrogant!"
"The Azure Sovereign Empire truly thinks so little of us?!"
"So what if you possess a Half-Blood King Beast?"
"Do you really believe that alone makes you invincible?"
Another cultivator stepped forward, unable to suppress his anger.
"You keep talking about the Empire Title War!"
"Maybe that’s just an excuse to steal the inheritance of our Heavenly Secret Realm!"
Voices of agreement erupted one after another.
The mountain echoed with furious protests.
Listening to the uproar...
Lucas Moreau merely smiled.
It was the smile of someone watching children throw meaningless tantrums.
Without saying a word...
