Chapter 77: Chapter 65: Slaying, Dominating the Top Three

"Holy shit! Holy shit!" Qin Lang’s eyes went wide. "Shen Xing, is that the Beastman you summoned at the mall? It’s already been promoted to Boss Level!"

Xu Jiayi stared at him, stunned, and uttered a single word: "Monster."

Shen Xing shook his head and smiled. "Let’s see what it dropped first."

The other two snapped out of it.

They looked over to where the strange bird had died and saw quite a few good things scattered about.

The most eye-catching was the soul, which floated in mid-air, radiating a dazzling light.

Beside it was a gorgeous Gemstone that shone with a brilliant light.

In addition, there was a pair of sharp claws glinting with a cold light, and a large pile of Soul Stones, Silver Coins, and more—a dazzling assortment.

Qin Lang gulped and immediately ordered his Half-Elf to collect all the spoils, wrapping them up in a piece of black cloth.

"Shen Xing, should we keep going?" Xu Jiayi turned and asked.

Shen Xing thought for a moment, then said, "Let’s retreat. I have a feeling the next wave of monsters will be very powerful, maybe even Extraordinary Level."

He still had trump cards, such as the Inferior Demon Legion and the Uplifting Drum.

But he wasn’t confident about facing an Extraordinary Level monster.

Besides, summoning so many Soldier Types at once had pushed both his physical stamina and his Spirit to their limits.

So it was better not to take the risk.

"Alright, let’s retreat."

Then, the three of them quickly severed their spiritual connections. The figures of all their Soldier Types turned illusory before dissipating into wisps of fog.

Then, they crushed their crystals, and a strange blue Energy enveloped their bodies.

Immediately after, their vision swam. The world spun around them.

HUMMM...

When their vision cleared, they found themselves in the parking lot of Bright Moon Bay Park.

The moment they appeared, they felt many eyes converging on them.

The three turned their heads and saw numerous figures surrounding them, quickly closing in.

"The hell? What do you guys want!?" Qin Lang instinctively clutched the bundle he was carrying.

He thought they were there to rob him of his spoils and immediately took a combat stance.

However, the surrounding crowd didn’t speak, only watching them with complicated expressions.

Just then, a middle-aged man in a gray trench coat came through the crowd.

"Captain Zhou, you’re here too." As if he’d found his savior, Qin Lang quickly pushed Shen Xing over to him.

Zhou Zheng nodded, a smile of appreciation on his face. "You three did very well. You really stole the show this time."

After Zhou Zheng explained, they finally understood what had happened.

It turned out that by clearing the eleventh wave, they had not only taken first place but had also swept the top three.

No wonder the other players were looking at them like that.

Even Qin Lang and Xu Jiayi felt like they were dreaming when they heard they had placed in the top three.

At that moment, the kind-faced Elder Wang also walked over.

His gaze swept across the crowd as he began to speak slowly, "First, congratulations to everyone for successfully completing the Foggy Void Realm challenge."

"In this challenge, I witnessed the younger generation’s fighting spirit as they bravely fought enemies and challenged their limits."

"I also saw many Novice Lords with outstanding Talents give spectacular performances in the Void Realm."

"It gratifies me to see that Jiang City is brimming with such talent."

The elder’s deep voice made the crowd unconsciously fall silent, their gazes turning toward him.

"However, as I said before, while you challenge your limits, you must ensure your own safety."

Elder Wang’s tone shifted, becoming more serious. "You have seen for yourselves that even in a One-Star Secret Realm of the lowest difficulty, and even with Teleportation Crystals, people still tragically lost their lives."

"And as you all continue to grow, you will encounter even stronger and more terrifying enemies."

"We recently detected a surge in Mist Energy readings in the skies above major cities in Hua Country.

"Before long, this will likely evolve into a large-scale fog disaster covering multiple cities."

The parking lot was silent, everyone listening intently.

After a pause, Elder Wang’s tone softened. "I’m not telling you all this to scare you, but to express my hope that while you maintain your spirit of exploration toward the Fog, you also maintain a sense of awe."

"Only then can you survive the increasingly chaotic future and light the Fire Seed of hope for civilization."

Grave and serious expressions appeared on the faces of everyone present.

Next, Elder Wang said a few more words, explaining some details about the ranking rewards.

Then he turned and left with the personnel from the Anomaly Handling Bureau.

The players chatted for a moment where they stood, then also went their separate ways.

Many players also swarmed over to Shen Xing, surrounding him and his friends and bombarding them with questions.

Some asked for their contact information, others asked about their development strategies.

A few players even handed them business cards, asking them to learn more about their companies when they had time.

However, these players were all gathered around Shen Xing and Xu Jiayi.

Qin Lang stood off to the side for a long time, completely ignored, his expression growing more and more resentful.

’Damn it! I’m in the top three too!’

’Why isn’t anyone asking me?’

Everyone could see that although the three of them were a team, the gap in their strength was quite large.

From start to finish, Qin Lang had only materialized one Three-Star Elite and one Two-Star Elite.

That was decent for an ordinary player, but compared to the other two, it was nothing special.

Just then, a man in a black T-shirt walked up to Shen Xing and spoke politely, "Hello, I’m Gu Feng."

"Your performance was a real eye-opener. It’s been many years since Jiang City has had a player clear the Endless Eleventh Round."

Shen Xing recognized the man; he supposedly had an Expert Level Lord for a father and a very powerful background.

"You’re too kind. We were just lucky," he said modestly.

"Luck is a type of strength too." Gu Feng smiled faintly, then got straight to the point. "I was wondering if you all would be interested in joining a chat group?"

"What kind of chat group?"

"It’s one I created with a few friends," Gu Feng explained. "It brings together the most outstanding geniuses from Jiang City over the past few years, and even includes Extraordinary Level and Expert Level Lords."

"We exchange game experience in there, and occasionally some of the top players share strategies. It might be helpful for you."

Shen Xing realized this group sounded pretty good.

’There are even Expert Level powerhouses in there. I might actually be able to get some useful information.’

After all, while you could find most game guides on the forums, as a public platform, the information available was common knowledge.

The personal experiences and solutions to difficult problems that Lords encountered during their development—that kind of valuable intel was rarely shared.

"Alright, add us to the group," Shen Xing said with a nod.

"Okay, just scan this code." Gu Feng took out his phone, opened Green Bubble, and shared a group QR code.

Shen Xing scanned it, and the information for a group with over thirty members appeared on his screen.

The group’s name was "Overwhelming the World - Jiang City Future Emperor Discussion Group."

Staring at the incredibly cringey name, Shen Xing couldn’t help but feel his lips twitch.

Then, suppressing his sense of shame, he and Xu Jiayi joined the group chat.

Just as Gu Feng was about to put his phone away, Qin Lang, who was standing nearby, quickly said, "Wait, I haven’t scanned it yet."

"Uh..." Gu Feng paused. "You want to join too?"

Qin Lang: "?"

"Hey, what’s that supposed to mean? Are you looking down on me or something?" he said indignantly.

Gu Feng quickly explained, "You’ve misunderstood, my friend. I just didn’t notice you."

He took out his phone again and shared the group QR code.

Only then did Qin Lang drop his grief-stricken expression and join the group, looking aggrieved.

At that moment, Zhou Zheng came over and helped them break away from the surrounding players. "The car is here. You three, come back to the association with me for now."

A white van slowly drove up and stopped in front of them.

Qin Lang skillfully grabbed the handles of Shen Xing’s wheelchair, lifted him and the chair into the van, and then got in himself.

BEEP BEEP—

Under the gazes of several dozen players, the van disappeared from the parking lot exit.

A short while later, the other players also dispersed.

Not long after everyone had left, several figures with profound auras slowly emerged from the dense fog.

Elder Wang was in the lead, followed by several members of the Anomaly Handling Bureau, including the Tier Three, Expert Level Lord, Jiang Rong.

"Alright, the little ones have all left. Now it’s our turn."

Elder Wang spoke slowly, "Let’s deal with what’s inside as quickly as possible. Otherwise, if the Fog spreads, even a One-Star Void Realm like this could evolve into a disaster that engulfs the entire city."

As he spoke, he walked toward the Fog. The kind smile remained on his face, but the aura around him had become incredibly sharp.

The others nodded solemnly, their faces grim, and then stepped into the Fog together.
